You guys should Check out this place like 20 minutes from glen Dale called forest haven an abondaned insane facility that was shut down and is really creepy!...don't go without knowing your history though u might catch the vapors...
@Rx7Force101 Forest Haven is way better than Glenn Dale for sure. It wasn't an insane asylum, it was for the mentally retarded. There is a pretty nasty history there, lots of abuse and neglect, but there aren't any "vapors" you should look out for, just asbestos like anywhere else. But I definitely have seen and heard some weird stuff at Forest Haven.

This place was never haunted. I was a teen when this place closed in 1982 and remember the buses and ambulances taking the hospice patients back to D.C, For at least 8 years the park police watched the grounds from the power plant i remember the lights on to that building with the smoke stack . but i think at that time they only watched it during the day. i used to go in those buildings at night and i can tell you even then if you seen a ghost you were SMOKING DOPE OR SOMETHING .!

We also think we might of caught something in a picture, someone... or something sitting on the steps of this garage building by the crematorium, we couldn't get into the garage but we were taking pictures through a broken window. My friend saw the legs w/ her own eyes, and then we happened to get a picture of it. I don't really know if it is anything, though.

I went there a couple of weeks ago, during the day time. My friends and I went to just check it out. When we drove by and there was a cop patrolling, but he left soon enough. We parked over in the neighborhood, and just walked through the field, no one seemed to notice. We couldn't get into any of the main buildings though, it was all boarded up. Some of the buildings were open though and you can get into them. I just have to say be careful, they aren't that sturdy.
ohh yeah i forgot to metion across the road there is house not the new house they justt built but an old on. a police lives right there so i wouldnt try any funny business. and theres a dog who is always barking at ppl walking around.

i'd also like to say i just went to henryton last weekend. while it's also a really amazing place which i plan on returning to very very soon, i wouldn't at all say that it beats glenn dale. henryton is amazing in its own right, absolutely, but at henryton, the rooms are empty and boring, at glenn dale, every room is different and still has stuff lying around. and plus, there were like 10 other people wandering around at henryton. i've never encountered another group at glenn dale.
having been 4 times, i can honestly say i've never felt an overwhelming spiritual presence, try going during the day, you're only getting creeped out cuz it's dark. i've actually become pretty comfortable in the main building. it's very easy to get into, but getting to the children's building and all that stuff isn't worth it, the cops patrol around there, but every time i've been to the adult building has been easy sailing.

well it isn't that you can just float right in, you have to know how to get in. you can't just mosy onto the property, you need to at least be slick about it. there's a guard trailor on the front of the property so as long as you enter from the back, you shouldn't see any police face-to-face. the morge is in the basement.

OMG! I went to glendale hospital once when i was in High school, and I was too afraid to go inside. So all of my friends left me sitting outside while they went in and looked around. Even from OUTSIDE it was one of the scariest things I have ever seen. Looming menacingly in the dark, its almost like something hollywood created to scare the shit out of you. I wouldnt recommend going there unless you like to be afraid.

Security isn't that tight. You just need to be quiet and careful. And don't go on a night like Halloween, when they're probably ready with dogs for trespassers. And with a group, one thing you probably will hear - and need to listen to - is, "Shut the fuck up!" or "Be quiet!" The five-o has got night vision.

i accidentally deleted another post, but the basement is kind of two levels. there is one higher one below the entrance level that is semi-underground. this is where the tunnel entrances are, but they'e all full of crap (when i went, there was a big metal barrel down there) so you can't enter them. the lower basement has a good foot of water all the way through so i haven't yet gotten a chance to explore the entire thing. it's glenn dale maryland, that's just the name of the town.

There's this parking place on Electric Ave. A little bit down the road there's this steep-ass hill. Go up it, then down it through the woods. The hospital is right there. The only problem is that if the five-o suspect your car, they might be anticipating your arrival when you come back. The windows on the first floor are boarded up, so you have to crow bar them open.
The good thing about that is that they can't see flashlights through the boarded-up doors. Be careful with lights on the second floors, though. The police portable is right out front of the hospital.

yea the tunnels are flooded , as far as henryton being better , i disagree, ive been to henryton 4 times and glen dale once, and glen dale has much more to offer for exploring , henryton doesnt even have a morgue, and its over 200 acres of buildings at glen dale , even a childerens building.
yea there really isnt any good videos of henryton except for a couple butt if u went there u would think it is better..for one it is located in a way more secluded spot away from any houses or main roads and is spread out more which makes it bigger.and the history of the building is even worse,,butt i'll let u do all the research..butt the only bad thing is that some asshole burned down the theatre section of the building so now the state is in the process of tearing it down

I went there a couple of weeks ago, during the day time. My friends and I went to just check it out. When we drove by and there was a cop patrolling, but he left soon enough. We parked over in the neighborhood, and just walked through the field, no one seemed to notice. We couldn't get into any of the main buildings though, it was all boarded up. Some of the buildings were open though and you can get into them. I just have to say be careful, they aren't that sturdy.

ohh yeah i forgot to metion across the road there is house not the new house they justt built but an old on. a police lives right there so i wouldnt try any funny business. and theres a dog who is always barking at ppl walking around.

not a good idea to go on halloween. at all. tons of people go up there on halloween and you WILL get caught. and claiming that the kkk meets there is beyond foolish. a kkk meeting would require how many people? and a RITUAL... when there are police on the premises. not likely. those stories are bogus. there might be gang activity there, but i wouldn't at all believe that there are cult meetings there. don't let that stop you from checking it out if you want to!

first of all, tuberculosis cannot be transmitted between a wall and a person, or fabric and a person, or anything else besides a person and a person.
second, as the description says, it's JUST A STORY. i didn't claim it's the true history. two different things.
next, they aren't going to tear it down because it is full of asbestos, and as you know, there are a lot of people living around there. tearing the building down would cover the surrounding area in asbestos, which is not a good thing.

it can be. there's a lot of broken glass and asbestos and supposedly gangs meet there. honestly, i've never seen anyone there except the police patrolling. people hype up a lot of stuff to make the stories more fun, just like i did in the video. basically, it's condemned for a reason, but i've been several times and nothing has ever happened to me.

Uh, no. Not criminally insane. In its later years, it was an institution for people with mental retardation.
I grew up not far from the hospital and used to go there to play with the disabled kids quite a lot. I actually have pretty happy memories of the hospital.

it would be best to wear some sort of gas mask i suppose, but i don't bother. i know it's unhealthy.. and the air gets really really thick and hard to breath around the third or forth floor. it definitely takes its toll after a while.

i'd also like to say i just went to henryton last weekend. while it's also a really amazing place which i plan on returning to very very soon, i wouldn't at all say that it beats glenn dale. henryton is amazing in its own right, absolutely, but at henryton, the rooms are empty and boring, at glenn dale, every room is different and still has stuff lying around. and plus, there were like 10 other people wandering around at henryton. i've never encountered another group at glenn dale.

having been 4 times, i can honestly say i've never felt an overwhelming spiritual presence, try going during the day, you're only getting creeped out cuz it's dark. i've actually become pretty comfortable in the main building. it's very easy to get into, but getting to the children's building and all that stuff isn't worth it, the cops patrol around there, but every time i've been to the adult building has been easy sailing.

well it isn't that you can just float right in, you have to know how to get in. you can't just mosy onto the property, you need to at least be slick about it. there's a guard trailor on the front of the property so as long as you enter from the back, you shouldn't see any police face-to-face. the morge is in the basement.

okay that's completely overexaggurating. if you think this place is dangerous, you probably don't have much experience with places like this. yes it's full of asbestos but i have never even gotten a feeling that it was structurally instable (the main building at least). and no, i wouldn't at all say it's "riddled with spirits," usually when you feel something there, it's because you're looking/expecting to see something or hear something. paranoia sets in in a place like this.

OMG! I went to glendale hospital once when i was in High school, and I was too afraid to go inside. So all of my friends left me sitting outside while they went in and looked around. Even from OUTSIDE it was one of the scariest things I have ever seen. Looming menacingly in the dark, its almost like something hollywood created to scare the shit out of you. I wouldnt recommend going there unless you like to be afraid.

back in the day I had a buddy who hid on one of the pull out shelves in the morgue for about 50 minutes BY HIMSELF as we left, went to Bowie, MD and picked up some girls to bring back to scare. (they were too freaked out to make it all the way down there) I've been in there more than a dozen times. It's a trippy, scary place, but can't say I've ever experienced anything 'paranormal' there...

Did you enter the room in the basement with all the beds piled in it? Someone once said "You will want to avoid the room with the beds. Do not go in there." I'm not too sure, but I think it's the same room with the old well in it. Too bad security is so tight, it would be nice to get paranormal investagators in there.

Security isn't that tight. You just need to be quiet and careful. And don't go on a night like Halloween, when they're probably ready with dogs for trespassers. And with a group, one thing you probably will hear - and need to listen to - is, "Shut the fuck up!" or "Be quiet!" The five-o has got night vision.

i accidentally deleted another post, but the basement is kind of two levels. there is one higher one below the entrance level that is semi-underground. this is where the tunnel entrances are, but they'e all full of crap (when i went, there was a big metal barrel down there) so you can't enter them. the lower basement has a good foot of water all the way through so i haven't yet gotten a chance to explore the entire thing. it's glenn dale maryland, that's just the name of the town.

There's this parking place on Electric Ave. A little bit down the road there's this steep-ass hill. Go up it, then down it through the woods. The hospital is right there. The only problem is that if the five-o suspect your car, they might be anticipating your arrival when you come back. The windows on the first floor are boarded up, so you have to crow bar them open.

The good thing about that is that they can't see flashlights through the boarded-up doors. Be careful with lights on the second floors, though. The police portable is right out front of the hospital.

yea the tunnels are flooded , as far as henryton being better , i disagree, ive been to henryton 4 times and glen dale once, and glen dale has much more to offer for exploring , henryton doesnt even have a morgue, and its over 200 acres of buildings at glen dale , even a childerens building.

yea there really isnt any good videos of henryton except for a couple butt if u went there u would think it is better..for one it is located in a way more secluded spot away from any houses or main roads and is spread out more which makes it bigger.and the history of the building is even worse,,butt i'll let u do all the research..butt the only bad thing is that some asshole burned down the theatre section of the building so now the state is in the process of tearing it down
