  • I love watching your vid's. You are one of my favorite on YT. It's good to know what brushes to get. I have the 217 & 239 & found the best way to clean them is to use LUSH DAYO shampoo. It's the best and gets the hairs so white. I hope that helps. Don't mind my user name. I am from Australia & you guys have no idea how lucky you are.WE pay $33 for 1 mac eyeshadow & the brushes from $40 and up. My sister is going to the US & I will buy a few brushes,& MAC haven't come to IMATS & we don't have cco

  • the 224 that was shown first was fake.. ;)) the brand was in the middle :))

  • @chrischaleone It's probably an older MAC brush. =) I think they changed it in 2001, maybe 2002? My first few brushes that I purchased at a MAC store have the label in the middle. =)

  • @OMGitsTGNV1011

can you do a lady gaga tutorial? either hair or makeup! <3

i noticed most of cant spend the money their cosmetics lately cuz it is overpriced :(

Luckily MAC is giving away a bunch of freebies this week...tons of makeup for free

Might be of help to some of ui'll save ya some searching, heres the contest pagegiveaway site.

    way。Com/makeup158

oh n tha coupon for page 2 is myspace58

  • super video! :) did you know you can get perfect makeup from Max factor to test before you buy over at Gratis Makeup Samples

  • i looove makeup! This videos fab, i mostly use Garnier makeup i get for free from 'Gratis Makeup Samples' they're great

  • I love that nail polish...what kind is it?

  • How do you clean your brushes? I have a ton but not enough for everyone of my shadows and I don't want to clean it wrong and ruin them.

  • For my first brush, should I get the 239 or 217 ?? I like them both, im just not sure which to get first.

  • You kind of look like Jessica Alba here.

  • what is that nailpolish that you are wearing?i love it!

  • Hi PB~your tutorials are very informative. I just started becoming familiar with MAC products and recently brought some brushes the 217 and 239. I am going to order the pencil brush as well as 224. Can you recommend some face brushes or do a review on your face brushes! I only use powder foundation would you still recommend the famous 187 or should I go with the 120 or 150. thanks for your help and keep up the good work!

  • Sorry I meant to type 129 or 150 brush~

  • great tutorial !

it's exactly what i was looking for.

just one question: how often do you wash ur brushes (if you do)?

  • it really helped me, i know now which brush to use and how ! great video

  • Wow this was very helpful! thanks for showing things in a different way.

  • ur the best.

looked at a couple of videos about brushes. they are useless.

u showed every brush close and explained how to use it.

    great job! thanx a lot!

  • do u work at MAC?

  • your voice is so easy to listen to!

  • This is a really great brush tutorial! Very few 'professional' make-up tutorials don't tell you what brush to use and where, and what each individual brush does and the look it creates. Thank you so much! And thank you for introducing me to the world of MAC!

  • what's the name of the cream base that you are using?

  • it's a mac paint pot, i think =]

there's also the messier version of the mac paint pots: mac paints.

  • no its not a paint pot its a cream colour base. the paint pots didnt come out yet when she uploaded this vid.

  • i have a question. is 266 better than 269??

are there any difference between them?

  • Great video

thinking of getting 217 or 224...

    what is real difference?

im not really sure what 224 is used for...

    thanks :)

  • i think the 224 is used more likely in the crease, while the 217 is used to blend and apply e/s. it looks like the 224 is softer than the 217, while the 217 looks stiffer. i only have the 217, not 224. i'd suggest going to MAC and looking at the brushes... they're expensive so make sure you REALLY REALLY want them before buying them! hope this helps =]

  • thanks!! :DDDDDD

  • i purchased the 224 and it really did'nt work for me, so it just depends on the size of your lids etc... it was just all over the place for me. i got the 217 and loved it!

    HAPPY SHOPPING!

  • thanx!! i got the 217 and it's awesome!!! yeah you're right!! :D

  • is there a set u would recommend from mac to purchase instead of buying these individually?

  • what is the name of the paint you use?

  • what lip gloss are you wearing here???

  • hey pursebuzz thanks so much for all your videos !!

i was just wondering, do you need paint or a matte color underneath to apply pigment? or can you just use the mixed water base thing?

    thanks so much again =]

  • Great videos~~

  • WOW THESE BRUSHES ARE EXPENSIVE!

  • This is a great video!

    Thanks :)

    **

  • Hi,and thank you for this video. It's convinced me on the importance of brushes. You're the greatest!!!

  • I can't decide whether to get the 239 brush or 217 brush. Is the 217 brush good for applying eyeshadow on the lid or is it just good for blending? By the way, love your vids! Always look forward to seeing new ones.

  • ill answer for her XD The 217 Brush can work for applying eyeshadow, but it doesnt pick up as much pigment as others. I definitly recommend this brush though, its great for blending.

  • hi there

I love the 217 and 239. The 239 is better to pack on the color, but the 217 is great for blending and adding color :)

  • Hey i love your videos, they are both easy and useful. But i was wondering if you kind of make a video for people with shorter hair(i have hair little longer than shoulder-length)that's quick and pretty, for everyday use.I would really appreciate it.=) thanx

  • my 224 is not narrow...how do I make it narrow????

  • Which brush would be best for just applying eyeshadow that isn't MAC?

  • All shadows can be applied using these brushes. check out my site there are more videos about brushes :)

  • Well I kind of thought that but what I meant was which brush is the best for just applying the shadow to the lid, no blending or anything like that.

  • oh to pat it on.. the 239 is best!

  • Hi i was just wondering what kind of job do you have because you seem to have a lot of money to spend on makeup and brushes. What do you suggest for someone with a smaller budget

  • go to ebay, look for seller "brush world usa", has great authentic bobbi brown brushes similar to the brushes featured on this video. you'll save more than 50% regular price.

  • Thanks you, that was so helpfull :):)

  • Thank you! I have been looking for a what brushes I should get tutoreal for a long time! Thank you! haha

  • wow I didnt know there were so many brushes, and how the type of brush you used can alter the pigment visibility.

  • i have a question do you know of any good inexpensive brushes?

  • go to ebay, look for seller "brush world usa", has great authentic bobbi brown brushes similar to the brushes featured on this video. you'll save more than 50% regular price. i bought from this seller and he's a perfect ebayer.

  • wow this is really good. thanx for the guidelines. i will be buying the brushes this december, i have saved up some money but i think i will need more. i also want the eyeshadows, the paint pot ones but God i am so confused what to buy more the brushes or eyeshadow??

  • thanks for everything, i got most of the mac brushes from watching your videos and my fave is the 217. the 224 is also great for lifting the color up on the outer eyes.

  • Thanks a lot. Your the best, very very very helpful yoo. :D

  • stilife

  • Thank you for making this!!

  • MAC brushes :-) thanks for this video

  • hi pursebuzz! i really love your video... very informative. i'm sure a lot of people learned so much from this. i sure did haha. you have very nice fingernails and nail polish... sexy! maybe you can teach us how to put nailpolish the right way one day haha. thanks once again... i enjoyed the video so much!

  • yayyyyyyyy you answered my brush question!!!!!!!:)

  • Thank you soooooooo much for this! I definately need some new brushes (when I can afford it) and this helps ALOT! :D

  • Just a tip- for a more lighter glitter look- dip your 266 into a fluidliner and then a bit into the glitter. The glitter will stick more sparingly- and will be more subtle, and you will still get a dark defined eye.

  • ohh thats very true :)

  • Where do you get the glitter from?

  • Also, what's the difference between a pointed brush and angled brush for eyeliner?

  • I believe its explained in the video. To long for a comment, but the angle is thicker with more control :)

  • Sorry I explained the flat brush vs the angle brush. Those are the only two I use for glitter.

  • Love this video it's very very helpful for those who want to buy mac brushes, especially since they are not cheap at all!

  • the best brushes on the market are Trish McEvoy,Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown. Mac is owned by ESTEE LAUDER so they have changed their products alot..and not for the better.

  • thanks, that was really helpful!!! ha i have been looking for some one who knew about brushes

  • do you work at mac? i'm a subscriber, i love your videos. keep doing what youre doing pretty girl!

  • very helpful video :)

  • .thanks for the info! just what i was looking for!thanks for your site :)

  • What's the cream base? I mean, what brand and what's the name of the color?

  • Mac Nude avail at macpro dot com

  • Have you ever heard of a holiday gift set that has a bottle called pink mauve?

  • The pigment? I don't have that one...

  • The one that was really shimmer ish like. I'm buy mac tommorrow but i still confused about the paint! I want to also buy mac lipglosses but their is so many. Which one is the best that you know of? thx love ur videos so helpful

  • what was tat paint called?

  • Hey there.. which paint.. Stillife? the nude shimmer one?

  • ur gr8 at this stuff i luv watching u put make-up on x

  • do u put the shelaq on before putting the glitter? is there another brand of eye seal besides shelaq. I know Makeup Forever has it but I don't know if it's as good. They dont sell Shelaq in Canada =*(

  • They don't have Shelaq by Benefit in Canada? :( I only know of Shelaq.. You wet the brush and then you dip the brush in glitter. Mac's Mixing Medium works too. but its not the same as Shelaq....

  • do u know any other kinds beside shelaq and the mac one? and i was thinking of buying the one from MAKEUP FOREVER but im scared it wont be as good.

  • Sorry I haven't seen anything like Shelaq.. maybe you can google it :)

  • what is shelaq

  • Something that makes your eye liner and glitter stay on longer.

  • hey can u do something on making eyes look bigger, and make grey eyes stand out

  • awesome tips. really helpful

  • wow i never knew u can use shelaq like that and i've had it too for years! what kind of glitter are you using?

  • Hey... I use cheap stuff from Splash to Mac's. I also have Tony and Tina's glitter. What do you use Shelaq for?

  • cool! yea like using cheap stuff too as well as the exp stuff. one of my friends who's a makeup artist gave me shelaq to put over my eyeliner so it wont smear. =) thanks for your response!

  • isn't shelaq soo cool!! I hate that its $30 geez

  • i heard that shelaq stuff is cool!

  • gosh i love ur videos...thanks sooo much for posting. new subscriber ;)

  • how do yu know all this O.o

btw thx 4 the vids they're all amazing =)

  • thank you for the video, it's great! :)

  • Thanks a lot

  • When using the she laq... do you always apply it before you put on the make up? or can you put on the makeup and then the she laq? Being asian I have a hard time keeping on eye liner... would you have a suggestion?

  • Shelaq is a clear liquid (like "glue", you can play with it a Sephora). I put on my liner last after all the other shadows. Does your liner smear and go away?

  • Yes, my liner smears and goes away. I have Shelaq, but am I suppose to put on the liner then Shelaq or vice versa? I don't know what to do to keep it on.

  • Have you tried putting your liner on and then go over it to "seal" with the shelaq? That stuff is magical:)

  • I tired that, but it looks as though it is just smearing it.

  • i love you vids. keep at it. i wish i could do some of those beautiful make-up tips u do. and have the equipment that u do.

i kno MAC has the best make-up cosmetics, but for sumone like me, i cant afford it. but one day i will. i really want a 266 brush..looks easier to put eye-liner rather than a pencil...lol

  • Hi there.. You know what When I first got my 266 brush like a bazillion years ago no other line had it. But now you can find that angle liner any where for a fraction of the price. Just keep you eyes out for it :)

  • I really love this video. Do you think you can do a tutorial on why and how to clean brushes? What brush cleaner do you use? thanks!

  • I use either baby shampoo or foamy make up remover(shouldn't really, but it really gets them squeeky clean) Lay them down to dry flat.

  • how often should brushes be cleaned anyway?

  • I don't know for sure on this. But, I've always been told like once a week to once every 2 weeks... mainly because of nasty bacteria that gets into the bristles and grows. Ew.

  • ive heard people clean them every day

  • yay, glad you did this! thanks :)

  • What's the green glitter shadow called and by who? the one used with the shelaq brush?

  • Hey there its Tony and Tina, But i just got some from splash for like $4. Its really pretty. Check them out online. Shelaq is the liquid from Benefit.

  • now i feel like getting the "glitter brush =D

question- do you use shadesticks? or do you change up the base from matte to shimmer?

  • Hi Annie Hi Yes I do sometimes. Its kinda hard to use, hurts my lids.. lol im a big baby..

  • awesome! thanks

  • Oh my Gosh, exactly what I needed. Thanks! :] Love your vids, don't ever stop! <3

  • thanks again for your help !:)
