just a heads up, if you're going to buy the tourmaline-ceramic blend, MAKE SURE it's not just a tourmaline coating. the coating burns off in just a few uses, so it's a waste of money. make sure the plate has actual tourmaline in it :)

I have crazy, thick, cury hair and got a "hair Art" flat iron. SOOOO durable, adjustable heat setting and can curl, flip. crimp ANYTHING!!! Love it!!!!

You should have mentioned if you want to curl hair, the recommended plates are the floating plates, the kind that are very easy to move back and fourth, so it's a smooth transition and no crimps from a built in plate. :)
