Yes it tracks well enough. I might slow on the lowest string. I'm driving a Roland GR-30 guitar synth here. Things can bog down a little when I'm trying to drive soft synths with effects and whatnot. But most of the time it works pretty darn good. Check out my vid on youtube titled:
Midi Guitar Jam (with Native Instruments FM8 and Ableton Live)
As far as the video editing, no pro experience here. I've probably just seen too much TV over the years and maybe paid too close of attention!
Hey thanks, dorian. Why is it that virtually every guitar video seems to start with 'remove-hand-from-webcam-button'? That's what I was trying to address in my video.
I checked out your channel. Wow, you have a rich vein of guitar videos to mine. I'll have to check them out.
Taking up the guitar only 3 yrs ago? You sound pretty good to me. We all try to work at getting better technically. That's just practicing. But I'm hearing what you're hearing in your head and that sounds great!
I'm glad you asked me that. Actually, I built it myself. I wanted a guitar with synth access but didn't like the Roland/Fender model. (I like a maple neck) So I bought a Fender 60th anniversary (Mexican) Strat and a Roland GK Kit (pickup and electronics)and installed it myself. You've got to have the nerve to take a router to your brand new Stratocaster. Not for the squeamish. It came out great. I think I'll get around to making a "How-to" video and put it up for anyone interested on youtube.
I'm lucky. I've got a very supportive wife. She actually encourages me in my endeavors. (Or is she really an 'enabler' to my affliction?) Well anyway, a wife like that is harder to come by than a mint '51 Fender Nocaster, so you're on your own in that matter.
Re: my room; what you can't see is the closet of forgotten toys, yesterday's 'must haves' waiting to be whisked away to the (ebay) cornfield and the tangled thicket of cables underfoot growing like Bermuda grass with each new found love.
Hey, thanks. I do love the music toys. For me it's been an evolution over the years. I started out bouncing tracks between two cassette decks back in the day. Sequencing on a Commadore 64. I'm really amazed at what can be done these days with the right tools. But as they say, "The first step is to admit that you have a problem." (I'm on the 'Frequent Sucker'list down at Guitar Center.)
i am sooo jealous of everything you have to work with

Your MIDI pickup tracks very well - doesn't seem like any delay whatsoever.
And I'd guess you have some Video Editing experience beyond the usual YouTube amateur.
Very cool, though.
