Very interesting, and utterly different than what I usually think of when I hear or read the words "Indian dance." Very energetic and fast, this is. A lot of ground is covered.
I'd love to know how they wrap the sari. Sorry, but I've been reading up on those, so whenever I see a drape I haven't before, I wonder how they do it.
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL INSPIRED MY HIGH SCHOOL DANCE TEAM, MY TEAM IS VERY ORIGINAL WE WORK VERY HARD, PUT ALOT OF EFFORT TO WIN OUR EVERY COMEPETETION AND GIVE AN ASTOUNDING PERFORMANCE, YOUTUBE SEARCH " sanger high lipsync 2009 " RATE AND COMMENT :) THANK YOU THE THEME WAS AMAZON SO IT RELATES TO THIS VIDEO :)
Hypnotic, yet energetic! How unusual to see men and women dancing together in this way. It would be good to belong in the way that these people still do.
This is simply beautiful. I love seeing ancient cultures still alive and well. I feel a sense of pride seeing them with so much energy even after so much western plaque and assault. What strong character. This is in my favorites :-) It's very eye opening for awareness of real people all over the world.
yes ..when i saw them perform , i too was thrilled and felt that this culture continuity was valuable and would survive despite all odds!and it does take strong character and belief not to be overwhelmed by the forces of 'progress'!!
Beautiful. It reminds me of how we are all connected, because you can see similarities to the horah, certain African tribal dances, and even old Irish folk dances...
entertaining video! my names Grace, kinda feelin bored if any1 wants to join me on cam or wana chat i will be signed on at __ PLAY-CAM...dot...COM __ my user ID there is Grace_snehq chat soon xx its FR33 to j0in! mwah
Thanks Anish for your appreciation .Understanding different peoples is a passion with me.Imagine the generations of growth that gives each one his unique character . And all must respect these indegenious cultures without trying to impose beliefs.I believe that growth and progress should be shared respecting the identities of all cultures .
AMAZING!!!! Its great to see someone who cares about the indigenous cultures of India :) The Warli are the original inhabitants of Thane and Dhule District of Maharashtra and they live so happily:)! I myself am an indian though not from this tribe i have great understanding, respect, and pride for the Warli. Thanks so much!
yeah. I love learning about different cultures and for some odd reason, people think that if it's not like theirs, it's evil or bad. i just don't get it. I live in the city and I would give anything to be out in the country dancing and simpy working with what is around me. I just don't get the misunderstanding.
Thanks for your support Althea . I appreciate your attempt at understanding the dance. If you browse the sites you may find more information on these tribes.Few follow the tradition of hunting and farming today. They are gainfully employed in cities. They are just happy to dance and express their joy of life through art about their life
How is it evil? The enitre dance shows representation of an understanding about death and its nature. (By the way, this isn't a mean response, I'm not trying to say fuck you. It does seem evil, but it has symbology in it that describes a certain peace about war.)
