If you actually ran the numbers..The skyline GTR 0-60 time is 4.7 seconds the F40 is 3.8 so in a straight line yes the F40 is about a second faster in terms on nuremburg times im not sure, a quick google search piicked up nothing on that, but i bet you any money with $30,000 and a $10,000 R32 GTR you could easily rival the F40

Given equal conditions, driver and closed track... the Veyron would demolish the GT-R.

Every skyline has been a tour de force in engineering, design, and power. any time a GT-R is released, it has ALWAYS been better then its porsche counter part.

a porsche 911 is NOT on the same level as a f430, nor is either of them "super cars". They are very nice sports cars. The CGT and ENZO are "Super cars". and just so you know, the new R35 went around nurburing(sp i know) FASTER then the Enzo and CGT, and also has a FASTER 0-60 time. Uhm... the R35 GT-R is the first time in history that a GT-R has been able to get close to the performance of a 911 Turbo of the era. The R32 got mawled by the 964 Turbo's, the R33 which wasn't really any faster than the 32 got mauled even more by the 993 and the R34 which again wasn't really any faster than its predecessors got even more mauled by the 996 Turbo's.

Performing its full potential at 600+hp (restricted from consumer factories @ 280 due to JPN laws) w/ stock internals it well exceeds in typical performance benchmarks of ANY car at the time, and the driving experience was one of the most thrilling, like supercars of yore.

This is reflected by the fact that such cars without factory restrictions hold higher lap times on Tsukuba & every single other track than the f40.

The head of Motorex was arrested last year and their shop was shut down. The only way to import a skyline is either swap vin's with a 240sx or register is as a track car only. I think the model the DOT in america will recognize is the r33 because it was crash tested. Otherwise, good luck trying to register anything else, there's a mountain of parts you need to replace, plus the paper work, and the money to do it. Buy a 240sx shell, import a skyline, swap all the parts.......

Initial price of the skyline r32 gtr, not to shabby, having to put thousands of dollars just to keep the car running, gets a little pricy. I do a full tune-up on my Skyline every 3000 km, about every two months, the car cost a crazy amount to keep running but it's worth every dime when it comes down to it.

Even if you took your truck and modified it as much as you can, it still wouldn't take a skyline in a race. With the skyline's chassis set-up, well balance of not only power/weight but also torque, they can be seen pushing over 1500 hp. Put that with ATTESA and HICAS, it would kill ANY truck in basically everything.
