I agree w/others. It's not Boingo w/out DE. But, no one can fault him for not being a part of it... and not wanting to do any sort of reunion, so this is as good as it's gonna get for fans who never got to see them when they were together. I think I'd try catch a show with Dead Man's Party as well though. They seem to get pretty good reviews...

I was 16, and had just discovered and fallen in love with Oingo Boingo that year. I took my dad and stepmom. I had really hoped Danny would come, but I was still psyched and had a fantastic time just basking in the glow of Boingo. I didn't know the songs or sounds well enough then to feel ripped off, which is how I feel now, as I listen with experienced ears to that vocalist botch the lyrics and strip the song of all personality. And I feel bad for my dad, who must have felt all this back then.

(who is jlojoe52?) anyway, I filed thes clip back at the 2005 show and it was a good show for a Boingo fan. They mostly played obscure tracks many in unique arrangements. Still fun to see. Last year, however, Bartek and Avila were not there. So, going forward, I might opt for DMP for my Boingo fix. I hope you enjoyed the clip. yukfoo. s.

I went to this and wasn't to impressed.. but I have gone to see Dead Man's Party and they are perfect sounding. And they play for about 2 and half hours. Only problem is there shows are in Ca.

Having seen them many times I can say that while he's irreplaceable, they were more than just Danny. This is not the best representation of how good some of these quasi-reunions shows have been. There are some good clips out there, try search terms: Vatos, 2010 and a song title you like, Just Another Day is good.

What a freakin Joke. This lead singer sux! I saw the Original Oingo Boingo back in 82 at Magic Mountain in California, and it was probably one of the most entertaining shows I have ever seen in my life, and I have been to hundreds of shows of all genres.

Their is only one Lead Singer that would ever fit the bill, and we all know who that is.

I say a True Reunion Tour of Boingo is in order. Danny Elfman grace us one last time!

Everybody know's that Danny won't play live again but the thing that nobody ever talks about is if he will ever make any kind of studio album ever again. He sings on Willy Wonka and Corpse Bride without a problem. In the studio there are all kinds of ways to deal with the volume problem. People act like If they can't play live Danny will never make a cool solo/boingo record. But if Danny doesn't want to do it it won't happen. I could see how hearing problems could take the fun out of music.

Elfman has suffered hearing loss from playing in Oingo Boingo so he can't ever play on stage again. Otherwise I think he would have done a reunion at some point.
