@DrunkenNuts I agree - people came and went so quickly it was annoying at times. Why this pathological need to kill everyone off? That's how it seemed anyway...
As for Tony B, I read that Steve Buscemi originally signed a contract to be on for two years - then, by their own admission, the writing sort of got out of control, Billy Leotardo was dead, and the rest is history. I thought Tony B was an interesting character and his relationship with Tony S could have been fun to watch...
@Asidonical18 it kind of bothered me that they would have new characters show up nfrom nowhere, start to enter the story, and then 2 or 3 episodes later they were dead. its kind of like star trek when they'd put one nameless red shirt on an away team and you knew he was canon fodder before they even beamed down.
Big words comin' from somebody that Tony ran into the rear of a truck and grabbed by the top of the fuckin' head until he squealed like a bitch...Fuck Philly. Head flatter than dog shit under the wheels of a Ford Explorer.."Say buh-by Pappa!..By By!"..BANG!...SQUISH!
If theres a real mob expert here please correct me if im wrong but isnt Phil's attitude and responses towards Tony a death sentence even if hes got legit grievances and even if hes from a rival family? From what i understand no matter the circumstance even if ur a capo of a powerful NYC family, talkin that way to the boss or even the boss of a rival family is an unpardonable sin that no smart made man would even dare dream of doin. This reminds of the incident with Carlo Gambino and Mimi Scialo
@havik206 I did read before that some gangster said the only thing the show got wrong was the way Tony's crew talked to him. They never should talk back to the Boss. Idk if that helps. I don't think this show was all that interested in being true to the life. I believe it was more interested in telling the story of Tony Soprano. A guy in a mid life crisis who happens to be a mob boss.
the organization is cool as fuck, just like the seven group syndicate during prohibition, with bosses like john torrio, luciano, king solomon, danny walsh, etc.
Tony Blundetto was the worst idea ever. Some character that comes out of nowhere after 4 seasons, and I'm supposed to believe he is like a brother to Tony?? Did they run out of ideas of something?
@burbonboy Technically he didn't come out of nowhere. Tony talks about him before season 5. He was part of the backstory of Tony's first panic attack, which is part of the basis for the entire show.
sorpranos fan boys take this show way too seriously..they remind me of the scarface fans who idolize tony montana, never realizing that such characters are examples of fools. fools who kill and maim in the name of bullshit codes and traditions..many times even their families get killed because they CHOOSE to involve themselves in a life of crime and bullshit.
Boh. Don't know what that word means. I'm sure a mangia-cake like yourself can tell me. How's the hangover coming along, you Finnian bastard. Drink enough green beer last night for St Plastic Paddy's Day.

@prettyhard731 One thing i've noticed about that show, is that Phils face is synonymous with death. Once you see that disgruntled mug, somebody is about to suffer a painful death. haha, so i'd shit myself too.
something i noticed when i was watching the series again, johnny barely touches his cigarette, he just light him up and let it burn the entire scene..
The best is the sit down before this one when Chrissy starts talking shit to John about Florida, after Tony told him a thousand times to keep his mouth shut, fuckin' hilarious.
"You know it wasn't too long ago I recall you used to wait in the car, and as far as I'm concerned YOU SHOULD STILL BE THERE!"
@ShaolinRespektah no dude this one is the best, johnny sac's threat to tony, "you either deliver blundetto to me or i will rain down a shitstorm on you and your family like you have never fucking seen!" - that is the coldest most ruthless quote i have ever heard.
WOW, you can see Chris looks like he almost pissed his pants off as Phil passed by him. You can also feel the WEIGHT AND ARROGANCE OF POWER from the NY guys. They know that at a moment's notice they can make the Jersey guys wake up in the Hudson River.
In real life even from a rival family a capo wud never dare disrespect a boss of a family at a sitdown in front of others like Phil did and no boss wud for a second tolerate such disrespect no matter how mad he was, phil's own family wud be obligated to kill him out of principle, made guys have been whacked for far less.

@Dogghouse531 maybe in your backward country, i mean how do these guys live with themselves? the have no sense of honor or shame, god and how do they look at their kids and wives. i pity them and i'm only 16
@Flapzzz good point. Little do people realise how many suffer at the hands of organised crime still to this day in Italy. And its not just the Mafia or Camorra, but others infiltrating from Eastern Europe and other immigrants. Italy is losing its heritage and grip because of Berlusconi being more concerned about having his cock sucked by girls young enough to be his granddaughter and making sure his hair is dyed.
Back in the 60's and 70's, people knew where they stood, but as it hit the 90's upwards there was a lot of confusion about leadership in certain families, which led to quite a lot of bloodshed.
@taxmonkey123 and I'm not saying the mob was or is good
the mob has always been bad, and always has been brutal
actually a lot more brutal back then because since they controlled police officers and politicians, judges etc, they could easily murder someone and get away with it
since they were out in the open for everyone to see, know one would call the police on them out of fear that the police officer taking the call was working with them,
the mafia was way more violent in the open back then
lmao you have no idea what your talking about. 85% of the United states Construction/contracting and trades etc. owned, financed or affiliated with Mafia.
there all about getting paid and keeping it on the down-low
@MurphGiovanni funny. you think of that all on your own?what are you seven?bashing moms because yours was never around. well i guess in a way she got around ;) congrats your mom is the public bicycle of the town.
fuck phil!!! I hate that old bitch. I was happy when he died and got his head ran over. He's an old piece of shit and I always wanted that faggot to die ever since he killed Nicky in casino.
Yeah I know it. He took Nicky out to the field and stabbed him in the fucking back and the stupid fuck could never put personal feelings aside and put business first. I laughed when his face was destroyed.
Richie Aprile ran over a guy and Phil had Vito piped to death, their both pretty harsh, suprinsingly I'd say Richie because he was from the old school and he always got pissed off easily
It's not right that they whacked him just because of the simple fact that he was gay. Vito did something stupid on his part too. He came back to Jersey. Like Tony once said, "Why couldn't Vito stay wherever the fuck he was"?. He should of left that life for good and start a new one. He made the wrong decision by coming back to Jersey and the guys, he was not wanted by his freinds and associates anymore.
true, but vito HATED his new life. remember he had to WORK a normal job, and kept checkin his watch.
his main mistake was going to the club in the first place. if ur gay and in the mob, KEEP IT QUIET! or just ignore the urges i guess. stay the fuck in the closest coz most of the other mobsters are real old school and arent exactly accepting
Yeah that is true. He exposed himself too easily. The idiot went clubbin' inNew York. He lived in New Jersey. It takes most people less than an hour to get to New York from New Jersey. New York and New Jersey mobsters are very close. It was only a matter of time before he would get caught. If it was not sooner than later. Eventually he was going to get caught.
That's not exactly true. Read 'Murder Machine' the Demeo crew used a couple of homosexual lovers for alot of diffrent things from getting info on the people they wanted to whack to running drugs. And they well knew they were gay. Though it certainly wouldn't be acceptable for a made member and a Capo at that.
murder machine is my favourite book ever - roy didnt mind that they were gay, but joey, anthony and chris didnt like it - at one point in the book it hints that roy might actually have been gay.
this isnt about vito gettin whacked its about tony b whacking phily leotardo's brother, because he whacked tony b friend from prison, and now the new york family wants tony b dead
please?! phil is an evil nasty prick who enjoys killing anyone he can get away with sometimes no reason the FBI believes hes responsible for at least 27 murders he was prolly helped by his brother billy who isnt quite as bad as phil but still a piece of shit ... but not only does phil like to kill, but he likes to watch his victims squirm before death vito, guy in the trunk, loraine, really sick+ plus hes a dishonest sneaky snake...phil relinquished anyone feeling sorry for him for anything
when ur right ur right phils just so hateable lol, thats the sopranos, always two sides to every story, richie was hatable but i loved him, and i felt bad for him with the jacket but i hated what he did to beansie always two (or more sides) even tony is a dick here and there
I think Richie was a real cold person, The way Phil had Vito piped to death was terrifying but thats because they found he was gay, Richie had that guy(forgot his name) from the coffee shop run over because he disrespected him, smallest issue would send Richie over the edge
why da fuck didnt u show the whole sitdown..it was only gettin better..johnny sac even considered they hand over christopher in replace of tony b.. sopranos scenes should never be cut early man..
I was showing the reaction of Phil...remember when he was mocked by Tony in that chase out...this moment was the one when Phil really went all out against the soprano crew
No way the NJ family could ever go up against anyone of the Ny familys. Gaminos alone have 250 to 300 made guys and who knows how many associates to do their dirty work.
Yes, I agree that all New York families were far more powerful than all others. Including, Jersey, Providence and Boston. I thought you were refering to The Sopranos tv series.
What does Johnny Sac say at 0:50?

@Flapzzz why get out in the real world more. I understand that it's a tv show.
ndc18 4 months ago
I think what he meant was the confusion, jackass.
Back in the 60's and 70's, people knew where they stood, but as it hit the 90's upwards there was a lot of confusion about leadership in certain families, which led to quite a lot of bloodshed.

@taxmonkey123 well the Mafia back in the day, what are now reffered to as "the golden days"
the mob really had it all, they had politicians, judges, police officers, regular citizen employees who tipped them off, etc etc all in their pockets
the mob was out in the open back then, for everyone to see and be known that they are there
now the Mafia is still around, but you can't notice at first glance, they are hidden and work "underground" being careful not to draw attention
Weslo2 1 year ago
@taxmonkey123 and I'm not saying the mob was or is good
the mob has always been bad, and always has been brutal
actually a lot more brutal back then because since they controlled police officers and politicians, judges etc, they could easily murder someone and get away with it
since they were out in the open for everyone to see, know one would call the police on them out of fear that the police officer taking the call was working with them,
the mafia was way more violent in the open back then
Weslo2 1 year ago
lmao you have no idea what your talking about. 85% of the United states Construction/contracting and trades etc. owned, financed or affiliated with Mafia.
there all about getting paid and keeping it on the down-low

pizzaisyummy86 2 years ago 4
Yeah I know it. He took Nicky out to the field and stabbed him in the fucking back and the stupid fuck could never put personal feelings aside and put business first. I laughed when his face was destroyed.

Who's nastier? Richie Aprile or Phil Leotardo?
Omerta3000 2 years ago
Richie Aprile ran over a guy and Phil had Vito piped to death, their both pretty harsh, suprinsingly I'd say Richie because he was from the old school and he always got pissed off easily
OfficeFanRepublic 2 years ago 2
Phill is more natier! his balls are biiger than ritche if they went at it philly would win!
DG3744 2 years ago
phils one of the meanest characters. The way they kill Vito is pretty cold.
Snappingeel67 2 years ago 4
the guy deserved it tho, being a fag and a discrace..
rottweilerdog08 2 years ago
No he did not.
Lifeusedtobegood 2 years ago
explain why he didnt. and dont say coz he was a good earner!
rottweilerdog08 2 years ago
It's not right that they whacked him just because of the simple fact that he was gay. Vito did something stupid on his part too. He came back to Jersey. Like Tony once said, "Why couldn't Vito stay wherever the fuck he was"?. He should of left that life for good and start a new one. He made the wrong decision by coming back to Jersey and the guys, he was not wanted by his freinds and associates anymore.
Lifeusedtobegood 2 years ago
true, but vito HATED his new life. remember he had to WORK a normal job, and kept checkin his watch.
his main mistake was going to the club in the first place. if ur gay and in the mob, KEEP IT QUIET! or just ignore the urges i guess. stay the fuck in the closest coz most of the other mobsters are real old school and arent exactly accepting
rottweilerdog08 2 years ago
Yeah that is true. He exposed himself too easily. The idiot went clubbin' inNew York. He lived in New Jersey. It takes most people less than an hour to get to New York from New Jersey. New York and New Jersey mobsters are very close. It was only a matter of time before he would get caught. If it was not sooner than later. Eventually he was going to get caught.
Lifeusedtobegood 2 years ago 2
tony was the boss, he told him to go - but he didnt - he disobeyed a direct order, he got hit - simplez.
CarloTheGambino 2 years ago
That's not exactly true. Read 'Murder Machine' the Demeo crew used a couple of homosexual lovers for alot of diffrent things from getting info on the people they wanted to whack to running drugs. And they well knew they were gay. Though it certainly wouldn't be acceptable for a made member and a Capo at that.
Meinfuhrerhoffman 2 years ago
murder machine is my favourite book ever - roy didnt mind that they were gay, but joey, anthony and chris didnt like it - at one point in the book it hints that roy might actually have been gay.
CarloTheGambino 2 years ago
This is not about vito have u even watched the show this is about how blundetto killed someone
VatreniNavijac177 2 years ago
Yeah, i know that,i replied to rottweilerdog08's stupid comment.
Lifeusedtobegood 2 years ago
this isnt about vito gettin whacked its about tony b whacking phily leotardo's brother, because he whacked tony b friend from prison, and now the new york family wants tony b dead
stevieb6966 2 years ago
ive found that usually in life the people who act like they really hate gay people - theyre often repressed homosexuals themselves

phil had hes right to be pissed off, hes own brother hade been killed by one in the soprano familiy?
intefanvetjag 2 years ago
please?! phil is an evil nasty prick who enjoys killing anyone he can get away with sometimes no reason the FBI believes hes responsible for at least 27 murders he was prolly helped by his brother billy who isnt quite as bad as phil but still a piece of shit ... but not only does phil like to kill, but he likes to watch his victims squirm before death vito, guy in the trunk, loraine, really sick+ plus hes a dishonest sneaky snake...phil relinquished anyone feeling sorry for him for anything
Joefonzgoldenarms 2 years ago 4
yes I know phil is a ruteless son of a bitch, I never said I like him?
But its still a fact that blundetto crossed the line and got the hole soprano familiy in danger.
intefanvetjag 2 years ago
when ur right ur right phils just so hateable lol, thats the sopranos, always two sides to every story, richie was hatable but i loved him, and i felt bad for him with the jacket but i hated what he did to beansie always two (or more sides) even tony is a dick here and there
Joefonzgoldenarms 2 years ago
I think Richie was a real cold person, The way Phil had Vito piped to death was terrifying but thats because they found he was gay, Richie had that guy(forgot his name) from the coffee shop run over because he disrespected him, smallest issue would send Richie over the edge
OfficeFanRepublic 2 years ago
You mean "Beansie", Yeah, that was cold blooded. Then Tony makes him build Beansie a ramp! LOL!

Why the hell didn't this guy show the whole sit down. This shit was just getting warmed up.
REVwilliebeamon 2 years ago
I was showing the reaction of Phil...remember when he was mocked by Tony in that chase out...this moment was the one when Phil really went all out against the soprano crew
adi1119 2 years ago
Oh I hate Phil! that actor who plays him is soo good at being hated! he also got what he derserved in goodfellas.

No way the NJ family could ever go up against anyone of the Ny familys. Gaminos alone have 250 to 300 made guys and who knows how many associates to do their dirty work.

New york family shoulda just wiped out those jersey grease balls haha

Is that why the Jersey Crew wiped out all those NY greaseballs?
toolover10 2 years ago 3
Maybe on tv, but in reality, you and I both know, New York mob families were more powerful than other families.
tusepagliacco 2 years ago
Yes, I agree that all New York families were far more powerful than all others. Including, Jersey, Providence and Boston. I thought you were refering to The Sopranos tv series.
