I love how people who have watched 3 deadlift videos think their "doctors" and know the perfect form for everything. If you've ever deadlifted you know how hard it is to keep "good form" when finding a PR. Perfect form doesn't exist.
I know, I can't believe I deadlifted again. I have since learned that deadlifts are extremely bad for you and have begun a new routine where I work my arms and abs out 3 times a week. I am so happy that I have come to this realization. I could have died if I didn't.
i didn't mean i don't love deadlifts lol. i mean just work back into it slowly. and arch your back at the start of the lift so you don't wind up in the same spot a few months from now.
deadlifts are one of the best exercises known to man.. you have to keep your core tight and arch your back, you arent doing either of those in this video. you hurt your back because you didnt know proper technique and failed to read up on the lift, don't blame a good exercise for your faults.
You don't have to arch your back. Everyone has a different optimal pulling position. Don't act like a guru when you obviously don't know what you are talking about. I've not only probably read more than you ever will, but I learned from actually lifting weights putting my life into this. Not only that, but I never blamed the exercise for me hurting myself. I just said how I hurt myself. You put time under the bar and eventually you will pick up injuries. It's all a part of the game.
@niagareven Yes everyone will be a little different... but unless you have alien physiology, your form sucks. A rounded back is not "optimal" for anyone.

Congrats, Gregg. That's awesome, especially considering the back injury and long deadlift layoff.
