  • Wow! That was a super cover. Thanks for inspiring me to try this song.

  • great job.

  • great job.

  • Very nice-soft tone and the guitar sounds great.

  • This was good enough to bring tears my eyes, which is something that doesn't happen very often. I last saw the Dead in Charlotte in 1989. Sad that many will not get to hear these songs live, but what you have done here is the next best thing. I like the moment of silent tribute at the end of the song, when you place the pick in your mouth, look down and lovingly place your had over the strings. Thanks for making my morning, God Bless!

  • great rendition!

  • Great job mate!!

  • Damn, that's sweet...

  • ..too many drugs..

  • the people might know but the people don't care, that a man could be as poor as me, one of the greatest dead songs of all time, keep playin man, good music

  • it was 1976 and i was suppose to be at an eight oclock class. instead, i was drinking wine (yes, wine that early in the morning) and listining to bootleg greatful dead, and my favorite song was Black Peter. You have done the song justice, brings back memories. thank you so much.

  • How Sweet the sound, from your friend across the pond

  • wonderful!! I can dig on this stuff all day! Great voice!!!

  • right on, keep em coming.

    peace and love

  • awesome rendition bro!!!!

  • well done. excellent singing. guitar good too. but(i'm a pain in the ass), was that a cndenser mike over lyour shoulder? and were you plugged in? try a small diaphragm condenser for the guitar. never mind the guitar was %99 perfect, especially the pace.

  • I wasn't using the condenser on this recording. Vocals were through the SM58 Beta (better isolation from the guitar). The guitar was plugged directly into my mixer - I play a Larivee D-03RE (L.R. Baggs pickup). I have a sm57 I could give a whirl - I have always found it sounds a little cleaner going direct though.

  • I don't know much about recording but I'm an acoustic purist. got a large diaphragm for the voice and a small for the guitar. I doubt if I got the isolation thing working. broke down and got a fishman for the coffeehouse, but I won'tdrill out my martins for the undersaddle pickups

  • Your Martin's!! Drool! What are you playin'? What type of condenser are you using? I am a bit of a gear head ;-) Always looking for pointers!

  • I got the cheapest condensers at guitar center, two for o buck mxl this time. but like I say i don't record good. I try to match my tascam to windows movie maker. only got one dead song. they say I shouldn't use that Bm.

  • awesome +1

  • sitting in the fog in San Francisco and found you'd put up another. Always look forward to what you've got going. I'm a fan. Cheers.

  • you killed this one man, keep it up.

  • well done...It's been a while...I was starting to get worried about you...

  • Hehe - ya I have been going full on with the electric over the past couple of months. Taking lessons etc in anticipation of my custom Tiger replica!!

  • Your getting a Tiger replica?? Damnit man!! Thats awesome! You killed another good friend! Way to go!! How about some Speedway?? = )

  • Ya - pretty excited about the guitar - been almost a year since it was started. Getting it done by some guys that have worked on the original Tiger! Gary Brawer - is the guy who used to do the advanced wiring for Jer's on-board effects loop and midi. Not that far on mine yet - but once of these days :-)

  • Thats so gnarly man! Keep me posted for sure!!

  • WOW!!! I just discovered your videos, this rocks, keep it up, and THANKS. The sound on this one (with your mixer) sound SO MUCH BETTER that with the cam mic. I second the motion of a little Speedway.

  • Stillll waitin! Haha

  • very nice mate.

  • Thank you Peace
