An excellent piece, and yet another example of brilliance on the Donkey Kong soundtrack. Starting out minimalistic, it slowly builds up in to an explosion of musical ecstasy unmatched by even Beethoven himself. Perhaps one day I shall have the pleasure of playing this game again. Just one more round through all three of the SNES DK games.

For a field trip our 6th grade class went to the Grand Teton National Park. On the second day we hiked to taggart lake. It was spring but there was still snow everywhere so we had to wear snow shoes. As we were hiking through a forest of spruce and aspen trees i thought to myself "This is so 'Snow Barrell Blast.'"Then this music played through my head. That was one of the greatest moments of my life.

When the snow starts coming down heavy, you might as well start kissing all your heard-earned life balloons good-DAMN-bye. I remember once I could NEVER beat this level, it angered me. Even to this day, I --still-- die at least once one this stage. The music is just fantastic, and gives this snowy landscape such powerful and graceful atmosphere

oh man....those damn barrels in the freaking blizzard. one mistake and you're right back to that half way barrel and you gotta do it again. it was before a save point too, so when you got down to those last few lives you knew you were going back to the forest soon.

But its pretty much everytime i see a blizzard now i think of this song. Right before it gets Dark, then you see the wall of snow, and then you feel the wind....
