Sure.. All you need is 3 neodymium magnets, a metal screw (drywall screws work well) and a battery and some copper wire.
Place 2 of the magnets on the screw head and center them. The screw will now be attraced to the battery. You can try it without the base I made by just hanging the scew and batteru upside down. Attach the copper wire to the neg terminal of the battery and just touch the magnets with the other end of the wire and the screw will begin to rotate..
LOL.. I didn't notice that.. Some lame show my wife was watching.. Maybe instead of playing with magnets and batteries I should have been paying "attention" to her.. :-)
Speedy. About 7800-8000 RPM max, and i can hear a good slow spindown.
