  • Very Nice video -- Keep up the good Work Andy and Great work Dad -- I love the "I can handle this Dad" - parts.

  • way to go man we all need to elmer young hams so in many years we can still call cq and someone is there to hear us 73s good luck KF4EUD

  • TITLE 47-PART 97-Sec.97.115(B)

    (b) The third party may participate in stating the message where:

    (1) The control operator is present at the control point and is

    continuously monitoring and supervising the third party's participation;

and....... Andy keep up the good work. WP4OCA . 73's

  • Keep up the GREAT work!!!!!! Its refreshing to see young hams enjoying the hobby which is inundated with 50+ year old men and many of them are dying off. We need to grow the hobby to keep it going!!!! ;-)

  • Could we really expect any other comment from burt2481 K1OIK, the guy is constantly calling everyone else on Ham Radio. Burt it's a hobby and the young lad was just learning!

    Well done Andy : )

And anyone that is licensed should know that anyone can operate a ham radio as long as they are supervised by a full licence holder and use the full licenced operators call. 73 Ray m0vgh

  • well done Andy keep it going...

  • very fine qso. and good papa.

    fb dxing! 73 from ja.

  • This is something you people over there have that we don't, I'm sure I could've interested our kids more if only they were allowed to make a contact under my supervision, who knows, probably the xyl too. It must be great having the radio as a family activity. Anyway, nice job Dad, did he steal your shack yet?

    73 from the UK

  • give the kid a break......

  • It's fine. His father is the control operator...does not matter whose voice it is.

  • The licensed dad is the control operator. the kid can transmit anything permitted under his dad's license. This gives his dad responsibility for the kid's transmittion. This is not illegal.

  • of course theoreticaly the kid could be a licensed ham as well

  • True. The reason why I thought not is because the guy on the other end says "what do you think about getting your license"

    73

  • The dad has the license. He is the station operator. Anyone operating under him can use his call sign and any privileges permitted under his license. Not illegal.

  • Good Luck Andy

  • Nice propagation,Andy.

     Name is Curt, C-U-R-T,

    callsign KD0HON Kilo-Delta-0-Hotel-Oscar-November, QSL?

  • You must be a proud Dad. I think your son is great on the air. Keep it up.

    Cheers VK2MAT

  • Burt you are a pitiful human being. You constantly need to try and prove how smart you are and stupid others are.Even to the extent of a nice moment between a father and son.I hope you know Andy will read your comments.Callling a 10yr old a "puppet"?? I hope you are proud of yourself. The fact you were told what to do by an 8yr old speaks volumes. And thats no insult to your daughter.I'm sure she's a fine young lady. Get a life Burt.. and let others live theirs. Good Luck Andy, great job..

  • great job!

    5 stars for you
