Global Warming is changing weather patterns. The increase is an overall average. If it is hotter in some areas, that can result in changing weather patterns so it is cooler in others than normal. Just the fact that the weather you are seeing in not what you would normally expect is an indication that there is cause for concern.

I don't mean to come across as facetious, so don't misunderstand my remarks. This summer in Nebraska has been extraordinarily cool. We are in the 60's the last week of August. We had a wet, cold spring. In fact, we did not feel as though our summer began until late June, a month later than we are accustomed to. We scooped plenty of snow last winter, as well. At what point will we "shelve" talk of global warming if this trend continues? Would it not be prudent to take a wait/see approach?
