  • I don't know how many of you out there remember Tom Lehrer (look him up and then buy his albums), but Roy Zimmerman is his modern-day equivalent.

  • 22 people works for NSA or works in their cantine

  • Fokkhead. Name says it all.

  • Hello

What song is the root of this music? I can't recall.

    Thank you.

Does anyone can advise what is the solo before his vocal belong what song?

In another word, is this song an emulate, at least the guitar phrase (nice still!)

    of another song

  • @montreemtx

Know I know. Its a riff in Mickey Baker, probably with Stefan Grossman .

    i love it ver much.

  • What a crooner!

  • You don't know shit about the NSA, just thought I would let all of you know.

  • i love the kind of song he is singing right now

  • At 2:36, I can't tell if he's lookiing down at his strumming hand for some reason or emphasizing the pun of "leak". If it's the latter, kudos, sir, kudos.

  • @ArianneHermida The body language is definitely more consistent with Option B than with Option A. Puns away! :)

  • Elvis lives!

  • very good elvis

  • That Elvis impression is simply awesome.

  • No, you misunderstand me. I mean the "No Such Agency" joke is old. The song itself is hilarious!!!

  • NSA? But...there's No Such Agency! ;)

  • lol, but that's old!

  • Heh. It's not old till you've heard it. ;)

  • lolcuast

  • I freakin' love you RZ!!!

  • I love this song !!

    I canna hep but laf.

Wot? You don't like my good Englund?

  • I'm fighting freedom over here...... So I don't have to fight it...... over there...

  • "Hypocrites believe in something..."

  • That's funny, defender of the English language who uses the wrong your, it's "you're weird", you hypocrite.

  • Well, way to contribute to the conversation, buddy. You get a gold star for defending the modern English language in the post-modern era.

Keep hatin'. I'm sure it'll make you tons of friends (b^.-)

  • If you haven't learned to speak the language of sarcasm by now, you should stop watching Roy Zimmerman videos.

  • Hmmmmm I was thinking, Elvis.... but ok... either way, it's great!

  • I just realized this sounds like a roy orbison song.

  • It's not like his other songs, but it's still an ekstreemly good song.

  • its extremely

  • It's "it's".

  • typist*

  • lol! XD

  • I'm

  • epic fail.

  • Irregardless, tha 781228XX is rite, these song is teh gooder and your a whole 'nother language natsi.

  • was it not Franklin who said (and I'm just paraphrasing here) "a man who is willing to give up a little freedom to gain security, deserves neither and will lose both."

  • "A man who would sacrifice Personal Liberty for Safety, deserves neither Liberty nor Safety."

    - Ben Franklin

"A government big enough to provide everything you need is big enough to take everything you have. The progress of history shows that as government grows, liberty decreases."

    -Gerald Ford

  • I don't think Gerald Ford was the first to say that but I could be wrong. But the Franklin one is right on the money.

  • According to WikiQuote, Gerald Ford said that in either his inaugural address or his farewell address, and it is often, apparently wrongly, attributed to Jefferson.

  • yeah ok. That's who I thought said it but I guess that was a misconception. Thank you!

  • Yeah that's real nice prose, but too bad it's one place where Ben Franklin was completely wrong. You give up freedoms every day for security. For one, you're not allowed to go kill people. Why? The police arrest you. This is so that people don't kill you. Same thing with theft, rape, and arson, and most other crimes.

The wiretapping stuff is completely different, which is why I object to that mischaracterization. The problem with the wiretapping is that it's done in a way that's totally illegal

  • Ben Franklin wasn't wrong at all. You're confusing liberty for freedom. Liberty is freedom fro despotic rule. Having the "freedom" to kill someone without getting arrested is not liberty at all. The presence of the police force is to preserve rights insofar as they do not inhibit the rights of others. That is the liberty Franklin was discussing.

Your comment is a logical failure and a disgrace to the Constitution.

  • No, bonavex' conclusion is logical. However it lacks historical insight and fails to substantiate itself in that bonavex does not provide evidence for wire-tapping's legality. If bonavex had, you could easily dismiss him/her based on precedents in the right against unlawful search and seizure or the right against self-incrimination, both of which corroborate your view of Ben Franklin's liberty.

If you're gonna pwn a noob, don't leave loopholes. Trolls will pwn you ;P

  • Bonavex concluded that having laws against murder is anti-freedom.

If you call that logical, then good luck being taken seriously.

  • Dude, you had everything right until you called his comment illogical. The guy took Ben Franklin's use of the word "freedom" out of context. That's an exegetical error, not a logical error.

If we are restricted from murder, we give up the freedom to murder for order. A freedom is sacrificed

If we are restricted from murder, we are not free to do it; therefore, we sacrifice a freedom for order. There is nothing illogical in that statement.

  • Dude, you had everything right until you called his comment illogical. The guy took Ben Franklin's use of the word "freedom" out of context. That's an exegetical error, not a logical error.

If we are restricted from murder, we give up the freedom to murder for order. A freedom is sacrificed for order. That's air tight logical reduction, it's just not the kind of freedom Ben Franklin was talking about.

  • Comment removed

  • "He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither."

  • Ben Franklin?

  • Yes, Benny Franklin indeed. Among while inventing many things, such as the lightning rod, he coined many phrases, penny saved and all, but the trade off between freedom and security is a truism that transcended, yet was summarized, by him. -

  • The fundies called it the "heretical rod" and refused to use it. Until enough churches where fireworks and gunpowder had been stored (because they were, like obviously safe places) blew entire towns to buggery after the churches were hit by lightning.

  • Interesting point. I think that the understanding of lightning is still being debated to this day.

  • Personally, I think Zeus is up there right now, deciding where to throw each and every bolt. This is based on my understanding of the Odyssey and the fact that science has yet to explain where lightning comes from.

  • Er... yea they have man... its the discharge of electrons from the buildup in the clouds. Or something like that.

  • NO! I reject your scientific explanations. Electrons my butt! Zeus is Great! Zeus is the ONE TRUE GOD, of ALL the WORLD! If you don't believe in Zeus, you are going to HADES! So said Odysseus! I will pray and sacrifice small animals for your soul...

  • wat the heck are you talking about????

yout harder to keep up witht than my ex....

  • @empbac pfff. My god kills your god.

  • @empbac sorry they were all killed in an epic battle with the flying spaghetti monster, lime cat, and clock spider over who was more bad ass

  • @empbac Pff Zeus my ass ! Thor eats that fella for breakfast.

  • @GendPzTrSchmidt Go back to Iceland, Thor-worshipper! And take your hammer with you! Heathen! I bet you take Thursdays off!

Everyone knows all gods are but manifestations of Amon-Ra, the one true life-giver. The Book of the Dead says it, I believe it, that settles it. And when you die all of your sins will be weighed on a scale against a single feather and any who fail this test will be eaten by a crocodile. I bet you can't wait until Sunday now, can you?

  • @GendPzTrSchmidt yeah! fellow norwegian?

  • @8000cheese Nope, German.

  • @empbac

Just being picky here, and I know you said this a year ago, but even if you believe in Zeus you're going to Hades. I mean everyone goes to Hades regardless of their deeds in life.

  • "Er... yea they have man... its the discharge of electrons from the buildup in the clouds. Or something like that."

Uh... actually... its the discharge of morons from the bullshit forming the impenetrable bozone layer - or something like that.

  • Love it !! I also love some of these comments !!

  • hahahaahahah your right there. there are SO many people that dont look stuff up, then post so dumb ass comment.

  • Well of course we need the three cyclopes to craft him new thunderbolts every now and then you can't forget about that major detail. And how could u forget about pegasus carrying his thunderbolts to him. I mean Zeus has to sit on his throne all day while casting down thunderbolts. He can't go get them

  • MY GOD!!!! stay on ONE TOPIC!!!!!! this has NUTHING to do with this video.

  • wtf you guys are so random, STAY ON ONE TOPIC!!! and we have explained where lighting comes from!!! god, i can be a freacken science profecer after correcting all the wrong people on youtube about science...

  • @8842qaz51 I i COULD be a FREAKING english PROFESSOR after correcting all the wrong people on youtube about grammar.

  • @fokkhead Errr.... That's grammatically incorrect... And you should always spell "I" with a large i, and... As MachiLikesRed said, the people aren't wrong, it's their grammar that is. If you make such mistakes when complaining about other people's grammar, then you lose all credibility, and they just laugh at you instead.

  • @fokkhead don't you have anything better to do or are you just one of those douche bags who has nothing better to do with his/her time

  • @empbac

yeah scientisct spreading some myths like frictions of water molecules in clouds creating freaking lightnings, but that is just Zeus denialism.

  • Like to hear your take on why God seems to dislike Trailer Parks.

Mine is that 40 years dealing with one surly mobile community is more than anyone can be expected to live with.

  • "Now we fight 'em here so we don't have to fight 'em there"

well say ! (and that's sad actually)

  • I think hw sings 'Now we fight freedom here'

    Even sadder

  • What's hte next song? sounds fun =D

  • I think it's 'Ingles'... also available on Roy's channel.

  • yup, its Ingles :)

  • Another great one. Thanks again for sharing.

  • NSA has approximately 30 000 employees! look at the pic. on wiki of how huge the parking lot is, it's probably bigger than the whole of Norway! Jezz

  • Woo Hoo - 2000th view! I hope they're listening now... ;)

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again. Roy Zimmerman for President!!!!!!!

  • great as always!

  • It's people like you that make this country great, Roy.

  • Gotta love the Presley impersonation.

    Great song!

I gotta see iof I can get my finances back in order before I order "Faulty Intelligence".

But I do l plan on getting it. XD

  • Cool song, great album!

  • Beautiful voice+hilarious lyrics=classic. Thanks, Roy.

  • Elvis ia in the house!

  • Jeez- what a great Elvis!

  • As long as someone like Zimmerman is still making jokes, there is hope.

Treasure it, for it may not last.

  • Isn't it nice to know that they're always there to listen? At least they care! Funny song!!!

  • It's amazing how you can make the raping of fundamental freedoms seem so goddamn funny! It makes me not feel so utterly disgusted at the American givernment's ability to continually rape their people of basic human rights.

  • Good Elvis imitation!

  • FUCK the NSA...and God bless Roy Zimmerman!!

  • Roy, Greetings from Sydney Australia.

I've already bought Faulty Intelligence so I'd heard this before - but it's great to hear it "live".

In Australia our current prime minister was labelled "Bonsai" by a member of the opposition in reference to "Little Bush". Thankfully there's an election here soon -- I hope we get some change here, and I hope you also get some there!

All the best and keep up the great work!

    David.

  • C'est tres bien!!1

  • I'd comment, but I'm in enough trouble with them already.

  • roys great. my fav is jerry falwells god. definetly a classic

  • i mean "histerical"

  • Fourth effin comment!....plus roy is histarical...if you dont think he's funny then you have no brain...go back to watching The Real World.

  • Lulz :) thanks for making my day

  • Hey Roy! I heard this song on Thom Hartman's show a few weeks ago, but I didn't realize it was you. Excellent, as always.

  • Roy's toast. Exposing 'the man' will be the end of him.

    Ha, not first, but Second.

  • HAHA! Love!
