Great, so now, how do you get schools to understand this? My 2nd grader's school constantly bails him out by giving him numerous chances & until they "make" him do his work. They say, "we can't let him fail". He knows that he's never going to get a zero or a bad grade. He just procrastinates. And the school criticizes the parents for not always "making" him do his homework. I choose not to get into the power struggle & fight. It's his choice, & most of the time he does his work.
