He did come over, but at that time many of the Wings had already left. There are videos of this on youtube. Lidstrom (the front of the line) would have had to wait 10-12 more seconds to shake Sid's hand. Some of them likely even saw him coming but left the line anyway.

He did come over, but at that time many of the Wings had already left. There are videos of this on youtube. Lidstrom (the front of the line) would have had to wait 10-12 more seconds to shake Sid's hand. Some of them likely even saw him coming but left the line anyway.

But that doesn't excuse the way he has acted recently, example. when the Pens played the Wings the season after, the Wings won, and he apparently started cross-checking Zetterberg in the back, and eventually got facewashed by Jimmy Howard, that kind of play is not only unsportsmanlike, but completely inexcuseable for a captain.

After we lost 2009 to them, we felt pretty shitty, especially because we kinda sucked at the beginning of 2010. So when we beat the Pens, and Jimmy facewashed crosby, we felt awesome! And so, yes, it may have been uncalled for, but it wasn't penalized, and it is still one of my favorites.

Mario hadnt been 100% healthy since 1989, he scored 199points with ROB BROWN as his winger, he had no one really good except for Cofey until the ninties, that year he had 199 he had over 100pim and missed significant time due to injuries as well. Dont be an idiot, he is probably the best athlete ever to play an injury prone carreer and still put up the all the accolades he couldnt even walk he was going out and scoring hat tricks.

Instead of focusing on the fact that the wings just won a much deserved cup they choose to replay hossa (ironically playing for us now) desperatly trying to put the puck in five times and it was no where near as close as nbc made it out to be.
