mages are a pretty easy class though, but for a dps class one of the hardest because they gotta watch agro alot since there crit is so high, theres not many good mages out there that actually watch there agro especially in 5mans
mages, imo are the ultimate pvp class, because of there aoes, and all your really need is honorable kills, so i just go around raping alliance with blast wave and stuff
Woah dropped the staff! i hope it drops when my guild goes raid curator today! we got a bad time yesterday on him, like 50000 mts from him and he aggroed the mage... and stuff like that, we went until 15% exacly when we had like 3 adds on us, nobody was taking care of em, and wiped :( well i hope we can today!
I never knew how easy it was to play other classes lol. All the mage does is spam frostbolt over and over. I play a priest, so it's slightly more difficult.
The reality is, spamming frostbolt is about all there is to do for a frost mage vs. a raid boss. Most of the other abilities of a frost mage work better against regular mobs, or in PvP. If you watch a fire or arcane mage, there's a bit more variety to be had against the bosses.
It's not just about spamming heals as a priest. You have to know who to heal, who is highest priority, what heal to use, and in end game raiding things like timing your heals.
yeah my guild on hyjal just downed this boss and we had some hella crits bigger than 13k, my self with AP pyro and trink hit him for 21.2 K i was proud hehe. BUT good job ay!

Oh, that's true. That's my mage in the video, but I also have a 70 Prot War and it amazes me how little attention people pay to aggro.

Reason for the big crits is the evocation, increases dmg taken by 200%.. 13K aint that much. my record as mage ( 40 aecane 21 frost) is 17K

arcane/frost spec,
you spend much gold in all those buffs,
equip, cant recognize all, but nothing fancy.
13k hits cuz of evocation of the curator and arcane spec, arcane might / presence of mind.
we kiled him without any bufffood, but with a shadow priest -> nice manareg ;)

When the curator evocates he takes 200% damage. That's why the mage was hitting for like 13k a shot. Good shit though.

This is the first place to get uber raid gear, so yeah, you have to use Outland stuff. All the pre-BC raid gear is outdated.
