  • 22 people are going to Hell

  • @ruthesh24 22 people would rather learn Highway To Hell

  • Hey to make the lesson easier, open the tab of this song, some times you cannot hear or see clearly to what he say or doing, i think tab is important to speedup your learning progress (i can play this song after learning 1 hour but still slow speed )

  • WORTHY GUITAR MAN.PURE AND BRIGHT TEACHING

  • After the massive bend on the ninth fret. My first, second and third fingers are now gay.

  • @Theoriginaloroara Well they were already bent so now they're straight, go figure.

  • oO my 2nd string just broke... can't finish learning that solo >.<

  • @dylentheboss thats gotta suck XD

  • So when will we see you play the whole song ?

  • in this lesson he's quite quick

  • really helped man, anyone can teach you the basic jist(jist?) of the song but you really helped me, nay. US! learn every note correctly. Thanks man :)

  • YYYYYYEEES :D :D FINALLY I KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT ALL :D :D OMG!!!!!!!

  • This is Fantastic!

  • Really great lesson! I've always wanted to play stairway, and now i know it correctly!

    Thanks!

  • okey, now i have a REAL challenge for you... learn and make a tutorial for the solo of Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd... its impossible.... just look it out on Youtube.. the song's not as good as the original but the solo continues until the very end with a mindblowing picking...

  • thanks! I got it! now to practice like mad!

  • 20 people checked in thinking Justin was gonna show them an actual stairway to heaven, they left disappointed.

  • top class all 6 vids. thanx mate

  • Wow. I tried to teach myself this song a few years back and went pretty well until I got half way through the solo. I gave up on it compeletely and then just realised after watching this that I was playing it fine, but just 2 frets higher. Damn. Thanks Justin.

  • Haha awesome! But my guitar can't handle the killer-bends!

  • thank you dog, nice teaching.

  • hi Justin if you read this.. have you thought about making a tutorial on Brian May's solo for 'Killer Queen' ? I think lots of us would love that!

  • thanks a lot, mate! you rock!

  • Thanks for teaching me the song, i just cant do the solo till i get my electric guitar, but the acoustic part i can play now, thanks :D

  • trust an aussie

  • Thank you very much! really! I learned this song since I've been with my girlfriend, because that is our common song. I've never played the guitar, but today after 9 months (!) I can safely say that I know this song perfectly thanks to you!

  • What the hell was that at the end??????

  • @ivanljubicicac123

Some other guy identified it as an Tasmanian Devil

But why it is always at the end of the videos is indeed a good question :P

  • @SepptheHunter Justin is originally from Tasmania.

  • @bergalini This is awesome. He can play guitar and is an Aussie!

  • justin you are the best man in the world!!!!!

  • Thank you very much !

  • Justin Bieber shouldn't be allowed to have the same first name as you.

  • Cheers form here in Ireland. always wanted to play this. thanks very much Justin

  • THANKS SO FUCKING MUCH DUDE!!!

  • how can 20 people not like this lesson it is dead on!!!!

  • Thanks Justin for the lesson

  • If you need to count riffs which are repeated a number of times, here is a simple method. You need to count 11 repeats (@ 3:52). Imagine a clock face on 12 o'clock. Play 3 riffs at 12 o'clock, then 3 riffs at 12.15, then 3 riffs at 12.30 and then do 2 riffs at 12.45. Easy as after a bit of practice. If you have to do 24 repeats just go around the clock twice, playing 3 riffs on the hour, quarter past, half past and then quarter to.

  • great video

  • What about the version of the little solo that you hear in live performances? I think it's a lot prettier and I'd like to learn that.

  • @MedicoreProductions best thing to do is look up a tab for those 5 or 6 notes you are struggling with and play each individually then gradually speed it up.

  • yo can u do a video tutorial for voodoo child? i like the way u teach and i love that song....so yea....do it

  • thank you justin you are the best teacher ever

  • 19 people were so amazed that they missed the like button

  • have you got tabs? good job but im better with tab :D

  • so does the funny repeating lick at 3:28 wear down the fret? I was practicing that and just notice there are silver flakes on my fret board. I hope it's coming from the string and not the fret.

  • WOW who would disslike this ?

They must be Justin bieber listeners

    GREAT lesson too :P

  • @vristic16 Or people who didn't love Jimmy enough to stick it out and learn the solo :>

  • Great lesson Justin!!! You're the man!!!

  • toook me a month to find time to finish really demanding solo thnx justin

  • ZOMG i learned it in 5 SEONDS NO LIE!#@$>@!^ .. jk im gonna lie or brag but thanks a lot, your the best

  • @zerosecretstolife if your version of the song is only 5 seconds than you played something wrong.

  • thanks.. it took me months and months to find a stairway lesson.... but now i found it and learned it perfectly in about 1 hour.. and i'm 13!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol number of views is less than half of what it was at the beginning lol everybody started giving up into the solo hahaha

  • MATE INSANE !!! i loved this sone for sooooooooo long thx to you i learned it your are a great teacher and yes i will subscribe ofc !

PLEASE answer me to this i wana be abel to learn musics tone my guitar and all those things musicians do BY EAR ccan you tell me any "ear training" methods or something like that to make me abel to transcribe songs tone my guitar and learn sougs i like by ear ???????????????''

PLEASE ANSWER and you are AWESOME XD

  • @MrSwordzman Just go to justings web site and look up his lesson on how to transcribe

  • @MrSwordzman just go look @ his site. hes got all sorts of tutorial there

  • @MrSwordzman -- you cant train someone to use their ears, silly. You either have it, or you dont. Listen to the songs over and over and over and over... until you can sing the guitar notes. Then find those matching notes on the neck without looking at tabs. You will eventually recognize everything, then you will be able to hear without looking at tabs from that point on. That is learning by ear. Simply remember each sound on the neck... and go from there. You will eventually hear it easily. \m/

  • @rawkgawdez

Yeah but you can learn actual music which really helps ;)

  • @MrSwordzman Transcribe songs. Listen to an easy song, and try to figure out the chords, riffs, etc. Start easy and think long term.

  • @MrSwordzman or go to his website. he has some REALLY helpful stuff there...

even "doin' stuff by ear" stuff :P

  • @MrSwordzman I am not justin, but I know that there are many ear and transcribing exercises on his site justinguitar

  • THANKS YOU MAN NOW I KNOW HOW TO PLAY STAIRWAY THE ENTIRE SONG YOU ARE AMAZING

  • I was 14, too when I learned the whole thing and thought all is right. But now I watched it again and see some little mistakes here and there. :D

  • Thank you so much Justin! You are great teacher and you really do some great lessons here. One of the best lessons i have ever seen to this song. You gave me amazing inspiration. After changing 4 sets of strings :D now i can do the full song but it takes me 3-4 months to do it at full speed like the records. In this period i learned some other songs from your videos Thank you 1 000 000 times :)

  • My e string broke, LOL! But I got it done ;) tks a million man!

  • BRAVISIMO

  • damned will my strings break?

  • Thanks man. you really rock. could you do a lesson for "history" by tenacious d?

Oh and let it be known, i rated five stars.

  • because of u i can play all of stairway to heaven and iam only eleven

  • those killer bends are killing me

  • You must make a lesson for the master exploder solo by tenacious d

  • Thnx Justin. It's been month since I started playing guitar and looking at your videos. I can play eerything very good except the solo. I just started practicing it today and it is hard. My fingers don't land on the string when I have to move that fast. That's too fast. Has anyone had the same problem?

  • Justin, I am wanting to sand the laquer finish of the back of the neck of my guitars so my hand can slide more freely ( am I crazy ) will this cause warpage or something else unwanted ??????? someone please give a response, my gut instinct says DO IT!!, using of course, light sanding and finishing with something like 8000 grit sand paper

    Signed: Sticky Neck

    GREETINGS FROM Puerto Rico,

  • think those frets are big enough haha? good job again dude!

  • Justin, your lessons are excellent. It couldn't be explained any better, I think.

    Thanks a lot for uploading.

    Greetings from Germany

  • Wonderful lesson Justin..nice work -

One thing tho' - as I was playing it - I included the sound of the rodent at the end of each section..

    It don't fit..but it's pretty cool..So I call my version: "Stairway ta' Willard" :)

  • just trying to learing this

here's a tip I've found works for me...

for the BIG bend towards the end, I bend at the 10th fret, then, as I'm releasing it I lift my 3rd finger so I can play that little g string riff starting with my 2nd finger at fret 9 and sliding down to position

    :-)

  • Just when I thought it couldn't get any harder...

  • Hey Justin, Thanks for the lessons. Great playin, now I have some work to do. :):) Texas, US

  • Justin.....that was an awesome lesson man. thanks so much for the excellent freebee.

    Saskatchewan Canada.

  • it might be just me that im stupid like that but i cant see where each of your fingers hit the strings

  • i would advise you work through Justin's pentatonic blues scale and blues lick lessons. notes typically go in a pattern / scale this is basically playing up and down a pentatonic scale it is worth the time learning these lessons it will help and give you an understanding of which notes sound good together.

    well it helped me out

  • :D That nearly killed my fingers! It was worth it though.

  • thanks for the lesson. your a very good teacher. i definitly will check out your other instrutional videos. take care

  • Incredibly helpful, thanks man.

todayy i know how to play stairway to heaven.

  • nice video but the end scared me lmfao.

Thanks for taking the time ^^

  • looove you singing the very last line at 9:02

  • Hey Justin, thanks for the videos, from Chile.

I don't have a electric guitar but all the lessons in acustic guitar I was learned :D A lot of thank you!

    Daniel.

  • Thank you for takin the time man..

  • i know u dont have alot of time but, when you explain things in the solos you explain really well the easy parts but skip over the harder parts like the 19th fret lick you play it really fast then kinda slow then you move on. nothing like how u explained the part where u slide to the 12th fret from like the 10th or whatever. but awesome vid and thanks for all your help

  • it's pretty easy to learn, especially since his fingers are RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU...

  • i agree

  • nice man sweet!!

  • never mind ...found it on your web site....you are a excellent teacher!!! keep up the good work...

  • i am not sure about the lead guitar part starting on fret 19.. do you have the tabs that go along with it ?..Love your videos !!!!

  • yeah no worries, I will just remake the whole thing again. I have loads of time and nothing else to do! :) J

  • thnx and good luck with doing it :D

  • Haha... lost in translation

  • Comment removed

  • a very awesome lesson in what tuning do you have to play this ?

  • Comment removed

  • standard yo

  • u may do it on an acoustic as well but then u need to be somewhere near perfect!

  • very much enjoyed the lesson! thank you!

  • sinfuldave and xxqc acually jimmy paige playes it with a Gibson EDS-1275, or a double neck guitar it's 12 string on top 6 string on bottom he plays the whole thing electric and changes from part from 6 to 12 but you can also play it on just 6 or 12 string too. You can also play the whole thing on electric or acoustic
