@OptixTom actually there are 8 bits in a byte meaning you would need 8Gb/s since divided by 8 is 1GB/s. Taking his +- 55MB/s his connection in Mb/s is 440Mb/s due to 55 * 8 = 440

@plaugewolf The speed he is downoading with isn't a problem for many servers, servers use HUGE RAID arrays which make the speeds veryy high. I once uploaded a very wanted file to megaupload and posted it to megaupload forums, I had something like 5000 downloads within 2-3 minutes, the file was 400MB, even taking the 3 minutes time 5000*400 = 2000000MB within 3 mins which means the server/s were uploading the file at 10.85GB/s

I have a feeling this is fake, and that it was done on a LAN. The download started at high speed WAY too fast. I host my own site. I could grab files from my .com address at that speed too lol.

Then again, this is a person from Japan, getting a file from a site most likely hosted in the same country. It's likely, but seems suss that it started off that quickly.
