I got an HDMI cable for PS3! Now what?

@DJxNIX try going to the HDMI settings and see if 480 and 720p and 1080p are selected.

@slyfox551 I think they are all the same, just make sure it is 1080p and have "PS3 supported" written somewhere(recommended :P).

@imlebaneez Well, when i change my TV to the hdmi channel it does nothing. My screen just goes black but it never goes to the channel just stays in a black screen. Once the 30 seconds are up the TV goes back to the same screen rather than the hd channel. Sorry for the bad explanation. :(

@enteen1 thats the whole point of the video. If what you did from the video didn't work, then I guess a new HDMI cable would work.

Hi mine worked for 1 time and when i turned it off the next day it wasn't working it worked when i took out my wii but now it doesn't work.

@richard999100 mmm i don't know if it worked the first time then something happened after you turned it off. Try stretching it from edge to edge. I don't know :/

I done everything plugged it in, than go to hdmi settings on the ps3 than the hdmi channel and i get a green blank sceen which is normal blue blank sceen if i dont use it Any help please is my hdmi broken?

i think u have the ps3 giving a output of 4:3 rather than putting it on a 16:9 as u are using a widescreen LCD panel

or you just can do that by pressing your ps3 power button aslong as it beebs the second time :D but first u have to un blug your AV cable and then blug your HDMI cable :)) much eazyer

@Goodboy4able I'm sure you did something wrong, try Restoring Default Settings(System Settings). Note: This won't format your ps3, it just resets the settings(like dislay setting,etc...) then try everything again.

i have a problem after setting up my HDMI cable; it works, the image and sound quality are really cool and it says im playing on 1080i now (i used to play in 480p)

well the problem is that i have some black bars when playing in HD, its not widescreen, any idea on how to fix this?
