  • This is a great video! So informative! I'm a vegan but I can't get into the whole raw food diet. That spaghetti squash is a staple for me. Thanks for sharing all your info.

  • You are the epitomy of good life practices. Just wanted to know whether you ever read the book entitled "Skinny Bitch". The title is just an attention grabber. Great book for vegetarians. Also, I wanted to know how long have you been on a natural journey, especially food journey. How much weight did you lose from your transformation. How often do you work out? Sorry for all of the questions but you have been such an inspiration for me to make changes in my life.

  • @jayzhair Awww....thanks!!! I am trying to be more consistent with my practice!! Lol...I do have that book...it is good for vegetrarians!! I have been on my natural journey...everything food, hair, and skin...for 2 years...since 2009. Since then I have lost 26 pounds. I am working on my last 12-15. I work out 4-5 times a week. What are your goals and what has your journey been like?

  • Great suggestions! For my spaghetti, I use T.V.P.( textured vitamin protein) in my sauce with the spaghetti squash. TVP is a great addition for mimicing a traditional 'meat' sauce. I also use a lot of the veggies you mentioned. Delicious!

  • @ElleNuMi Thanks!! I've used meat substitute in my vegetarian spaghetti too. I now like just veggies best. You're right...it is delicious!!!

  • Thanks for the information. You are very thorough.

  • @TheNaturallawyer Thanks!!!

  • As usual great info. As you know I'm also doing the fast and I'm going to use it to transition to a more vegan lifestyle. I'm going to check out the books. Education is the key to maintaining. Good job and keep this videos coming!

  • @Nubianamazon17 Thanks...glad you found it helpful!!! That sounds like a great approach. Keep me posted on your progress.

  • Great info. I'm doing the Daniel fast also with my church. day 5 and I feel great so far. Previously I have been eating mostly vegetarian. Thanks for posting!

  • @HealthyHairJourney My pleasure!! So glad you found it helpful!!

  • Thanks hon. Great information as usual. I will definitely look into some of the books you suggested. I just got over a bug, and it's tough to pick up the workout routine after being bed ridden for two weeks. your 4 pound loss is inspiring. :)

  • @mschris014 You're welcome!!! Glad you found it helpful!! I hope you are feeling better!! Take it easy and give your body the rest it needs so you can come back to those workouts with a vengeance.

  • Great video! Enjoyed watching it from begining to end. First minute or so i was hair struck. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous aka well taken care of. I knew I should have bought the avocado oil instead of the grapeseed. I have the fat flush book I will revisit it tonight.

Thanks - also is there a specific book you use to guide you on the daniel fast?

  • @kedanpie4409 Thanks so much!! I think you did well getting the grapeseed oil especially if you use heat on your hair. I understand that oil withstands heat at a high temperature so it is a good heat protectant. I have not gotten a specific book on the Daniel Fast although I understand that Amazon sells one. I think any vegan book will do the trick.

  • Hey just wanted to ask if you ever heard of Tiffany Rothe workouts right here on Youtube.

    Great workouts.

  • @thewifemomteacher Never heard of her...will have to check her out.

  • You look great woman! Thanks for sharing the books and information.

  • @eatingvegan1234 Lol...thanks so much!! You're welcome!!!

  • Great Video! you look awesome!!! I have a hair question, would you say your texture has changed since the twa? As well as did your use of certain products completely change? I have a twa (natural 4 months) and I haven't found a good product yet.

    Thank you

  • @keishabj Thanks!!! I do think my texture changed because when it was shorter my curls seemed tighter, but as it got longer I think gravity stretches out the curls so its more wavy. When I had my twa I love kinky curly leave-in conditioner and a little of the custard. As it got longer I didn't like the custard and just used the leave in to twist my hair wet. Now I still use the leave in but let it air dry before twisting and use Shea Moisture hair milk to twist with some avocado oil.

  • FABULOUS VIDEO!!!! Great, great info about the kids and hormones in the farming industry for people who are not aware of all the MESS going on out there!!!!!!!! How are using the avocado oil n ur hair? I got a bottle and havn't touched it yet....don't remember what to use it for.

  • @wellergurl I'm so glad you liked it!!! I use the avocado oil for (1) to put on my ends before shampooing (2) to put on my hair when twisting and styling for moisture and (3) on my skin mixed with some "natural" lotion.

  • you look amazing!

  • @brook2feet3 Thanks so much!!

  • You look great! I'm recently starting a no meat diet. I wanted to start the Daniel fast but I'm not ready to give up caffeine or carbohydrate or alcohol. Looking forward to more of your vids.

  • @wildsweetpea Thanks so much!! If you are not ready to do without those things permanently, which is hard, you could try to do without all those things for at a week at a time to give you body a break.

  • I'm so lucky I live in France now for that because the French are very picky about what goes into the food. I do buy organic fo some things because feeding a family of 4 isn't cheap here. I alwayscook everything fresh because I know where everything comes from and that it tastes great. You are so right though! thanks for the book ideas. I might try to get The Fat Flush Cookbook because I'm not so keen on the idea of becoming completely vegetarian. It doesn't have only good points.

  • @frenchiedee you are very fortunate to live in a country where they do value good quality food!! You're welcome!!

  • Hi, NaturalJorney- Love your vids they are very helpful and informative. Question? Is that a wash and go or a twist-out?

  • @TheBalancebeam1 Thanks so much...I'm glad!! I'm rocking a twist-out.
