Great work! I was awash in nostlagia and throughly entertained at the same time. I am delighted that you Subscribed to my channel, which brought me here to investigate. I am happy to have you on my list and grateful to be on yours. Keep up the wonderful creativity and loving documenting of the SFV past. I'll be watching...
I grew up right next to Sepulveda Drive Inn Theatre...went to Valerio - Van Nuys Jr. - Monroe/Van Nuys High...sister went to Birmingham...watabout Balboa Park? anybody remember the Rocks in Chatworth?? Manson caves?? Making out on Mulholand at night, checking the valley lights...?? Sherman Oaks Galleria? I always dated rich chics from Encino, Granada Hills, Woodland Hills...
Wow, Valley Ranch BBQ..... amazing vid, thanks man, this brings back memories.. like I watched my life passing before my eyes here... but I have one question, where was the Valley News and Green Sheet?
Thank you, I started crying about 2:11 -- and I thought I was done, until the very end. When you did the shot of the Onion Church/Bldg. Thank you thank you thank you. Made my day !!!! I may be a Seattle WA girl now, but I am a TRUE SFV girl, forever. *hugs Tommy*
OMG, I am in love with this video. He's biking through my childhood playground!! :) So kewl, including the little details like the Schaber's Cafeteria matches. Funny, their old cigarette machine is where all the kids would stop to get cigs. ::G::
@etks1957@etks1957- I know, huh?!! I thought the exact same thing. I pulled my daughter into the room and showed her this. I owned it all of 5 days and someone took it from my driveway in Northridge. <<<<< Ive always wanted to put up a sign but never did. It would have read: MISSING/STOLEN Orange Bike - Sissy Bar + Peace Sign - Banana Seat. Birthday Present. Cross streets Nordoff and Yolanda. Please call (818) 349-**** if you see it. Reward!!
Thank you for recreating many of the bike rides I took around the Valley growing up there in the 70s and 80s. I instantly recognized many of the places in your video. Nice job with the story line, antique props, lighting and camera work, too!
Curious about technology used on this video: DSLR or HD Camcorder? Who was your DP? This is professionally done and just gorgeous. Love it. A reminder of my misspent Valley youth.

Not making a value judgment, here, but... why did the guy have to be one with all the tattoos and "plugs"?
kb6kgx 10 months ago
@kb6kgx Because it would have been cooler to have been a guy in a business suit, driving an Audi up and down Ventura Blvd?
