Hey, did anyone else notice? When Monastario pulled his saber, he brandished it at Diego for a second like he wanted a go at Diego's face, at which Diego reflexively held up the fireplace poker like a fencing foil and then checked himself - after all, as Diego de la Vega, he's not supposed to know how to use a sword or have any interest in such things! It took me several views to catch it - did anyone else see it?
@residentwriter Yeah - I'm actually kind of surprised Monastario didn't take action that was any more drastic than screaming at Garcia some more - like he said at the Mission San Gabriel a few episodes back, the penalty for sleeping on duty was death - and here he caught Garcia snoozing on duty AND having a drinking party! Why didn't Garcia get the figurative (or literal) axe? (Not that I want to see the big goober actually DEAD, I'm just surprised at Monastario's behavior!)
The comments on the previous episode all theorized that that was when Alejandro first learned that his son was Zorro, and after seeing this episode more closely I'm definitely inclined to agree. It would certainly explain why Alejandro insisted that Zorro should escape on his own at the beginning of this episode.
When was that? I know of one episode where he takes Diego and Bernardo hostage (wearing a disguise, of course) but I don't right off recall him fighting Diego as Zorro in the series.
I have always loved the tales of Zorro. I have even recently found a copy of the original stories from 1919. I look forward to reading about the Sionnach (Gaelic for Fox).
just a question is there any two part episodes?

I wonder if Garcia would still think of Diego as a friend if he knew the half of what Diego has done to him as both Diego and Zorro.

I have Italian heritage, but I still think Zorro is the coolest hero of all time. The Fox!
