Voxel based survival isnt exclusive to a single game. Its a genre. I find it odd that if someone almost recreates minecraft with a minecraft mod, everyone is fine with it. But if someone actually recreates minecraft into another game then everyone calls it a copy. Oh and might i remind you that minecraft copied infiniminer.

@Smellyhobo10101 Minecraft didn't copy Infiniminer, It was inspired by Infinminer. There is guns in Infiniminer, guns in minecraft? no.

Also, people who create copies of minecraft and call it a minecraft copy, that's cool because they're saying that it is a minecraft copy. Where as my island fortress is trying to pass off as a not a minecraft copy, which is clearly is.

@Alfee94 But your logic is flawed, you said that Minecraft didn't copy Infiniminer, Minecraft changed a bunch of stuff and then basically became a new game... Minecraft isn't called Infiniminer copy is it.. no. Then you go onto saying that this is a copy but it seems to me that it has in fact changed loads of stuff, but got it's idea for the game from Minecraft... So there for if we follow your rule of thumb that you stated in your first statement this isn't a copy but a new game.

@ModelTXInfAmY The only concept that joins Infiniminer and Minecraft is blocks and building. The comparisons between myislandfortress and minecraft is overwhelming; mining, crafting, pistons, redstone, minerals. The argument for lack of creativity for myislandfortress is too easy.

@Alfee94 I'm sorry does Minecraft have Slopes or realistic looking trees, what about a shop.. To me it looks like you watched the first 5 seconds and thought, must be a Minecraft copy. Also you are saying this is a copy of Minecraft. With that same logic is every Tennis game a copy of Pong? Is every FPS game a copy of C.O.D? Is every MMO RPG a copy of WoW? Is every RTS game a copy of Age Of Empires?

@Alfee94 How do all Genre's get created, by one game, usually after that every game is thought to be a copy of the original game (whether it is or not). Usually after enough different games that fit under that genre have come out they are usually stopped being called copies. I would like to also address the fact that I just made up the Block Building Survival games genre because I could not see any genre that Minecraft and other relevant games could fit under... Also if this is copying Minecraft
