i have heard that people mix the brush cleanser with water in a spray bottle, and it makes the same thing and it doesnt finish so easily. you might wanna try that :)

you can get the spreay bottles for like .99 in the travel section of target or walmart. i mean its not that big of a difference, but its just a heads up for everyone.

Hey Elle, with the brush guard, you can out it upside down in a cup! Leave about a half inch after the bristles and then you can make it so the water drains down, not into the ferrel! Yea!

I think very few people follow the instructions of the Mac brush cleanser. :) Me, myself, just pour a very tiny bit on a lint free paper tissue and swirl my brushes in it beginning with the least dirty. Works a charm and saves a lot of cleanser.

for people wth an oilier complextion I would sujest using a very small ammount of antibacterial gel wash with the moisturising shampoo, this way your brushes are bacteria free and soft.

I have a hard time cleaning my foundation brush. The product wont go away completey. I have the MAC brush cleanser and I deep clean it every week or two. Does it do that with your brush too or it's just me?

You shouldn't leave it flat either, you should put on the brush guard, if you have one, put it upside down in a cup. If you leave it flat the water will still find a way into where the glue is.

I went into a Mac store like last year and they told me that using cleansers is really bad for your make up brushes and that you should just wash them with hair conditioner lol sounds weird but it works the brush becomes really soft :)

OMG I invented that so long ago!! I do little paper tubes with paper and tape, and put those on my brushes, it works exactly the same as those. I wish I'd had a way to sell my idea first... bummer

I can't use the brush guards on anything thicker than eye brushes because the denser brushes won't dry completely even with it upside down in a glass to draw the moisture down. I've had a brush ruined due to the brush guards...
