@yamahar87 probably best use a cable paddle shift shift. I tried very patiently with a linkage for a more positive shift but caused no end of problems, especially once you got to the track annoyingly... testing is critical or you'll end up taking your car all the way to the track, spending loads of money, then trailering it home again before lunch!

Why do people insist on having to test it before its finished? You should finish it first, then start it, shows you have confidence in your work and patience to do good work.
Sure thing, next time I have a project I'll put it all together, try it out, and have to take it all apart again because something didn't work, brilliant :D

Maybe you have no experience to draw on then, if you cannot modify or build a car right once, you are probably lacking the skills to do the job anyway.
I'm confident in my abilities but I'm still human and I will make mistakes eventually. Heck I've even delt with mysterious oil leaks we couldn't trace until we figured out it was a pinhole in the engine block from being cast badly, things just happen. I'd just rather check every step of the way to make sure before fastening every part and have to take it all apart again. If you don't and never will have problems then bravo, more power to ya, but us mortals we have to check our work.
Paddles. Solenoids though not a solid cable system like most. I also used to have a relay hooked up to the ignition circuit which cut the spark when you hit the 'up' paddle. Meant you could keep your foot flat on the accelerator and not use the clutch for super fast shifts. Not that healthy for the clutch and gearbox though!
god god job bro, please, there are some manuaals to build my gsxr engine to that tipe o transmission???

top speed? :)

@sdkfz3000 Not great, gearing was very low on the diff so max speed probably around 120 mph. Maybe hit 60 mph on this run.

needs turbo or supercharger, adding a blower would give ya low end torque you're missing off the line.

And not to mention clients appreciate it when you can honestly tell them you've went through everything at least twice for them.
