In my opnion darkest hour has a pretty unique vocalist. But I do agree metalcore is metal and theirs nothing wrong with playing it

Darkest hour are clearly influenced by In Flames, but still they play metalcore. What names a band genre is the scene they're active in. There's no reason for subcategories that describe a band's influences.

And I don't think that all bands should be classed as metalcore bands just their singer screams or growls in the songs..
