I have read a book about Finnish MS.406 ace, and there it was said that MS was a moderately good fighter, but it had many issues as well. It was difficult, at times even impossible, to maintain. The weaponry was hard to use because the cannon expended all the ammo in three seconds and the machine guns alone were too weak to damage an armored Soviet plane. The plane was agile, but it was becoming slow too.

  • @JapaninArmeija

Definitely true. The MS was out-dated before it was in use. Fortunely there was no flying panzer such as IL2 over France, but only german fighter - and these could be damaged by the weak weaponery of the 406. Anyway, it was much too slow. Hence the huge bravery of fighters flying it ;-)

    Thx for your comment !

  • 700 pilotte allemant abattu avec ce coucou

  • An experienced pilot related the Morane was free of vices. He noted however- with the plane-he found it difficult to catch the Me-109 nor was its sufficiently armed to easily bring it down. Nevertheless pilots managed to score kills with the Morane. The Deoitines were superior aircraft but lacking in numbers to make a contribution. The Morane and Bloch fighters were left to carry the brunt o the Luftwaffe assault and they performed valiantly.

  • @Rostokouban If you mean the game IL2 Forgotten Battlefields you can't fly the Morane in the game.

  • And I suggest you watch again and notice there's no 520 involved here ;-) The first 520 was delivered In the late 1942 to RAAF and FFL were NEVER delivered but for a couple of HAWKS. There is no exemple of 520vs109 over European territory, only over North Africa.

  • What is this music?

  • Start and end texts are "musicalized" (?) with the main track from "The Last Mohican", and music of the fight is part of a wondefull unkown Irish band of very young people who are name "Slainthe Mhath". I strongly recommend to anyone who loves Irish semi-modern music to buy and hear their 2 album. It's really GREAT.

  • thank you man!!!!

  • french ww2 planes were unfamous even there fight action.

  • mikerama they didn't have a chance in hell that video just give hommage to the 140 pilote that didn't care about there odds and die trying flying that plane.

there fight action never were recognized

but by the 100 of german they shoot down

please have some level of respect for there bravery.....

  • You're right algrace11. That's dedicated to pilots who died here, no to French pilots who died here.

let's just not forget that the French ones where not fighting equal to equal, facing a much stronger adversary.
