There's a wicked gothic element to William Control that isn't present in a lot of Aiden's music, I got to meet them once (and I've really only seen them once) but I honestly enjoy Control more than the original band. Let him branch out and see what else he can do, this was amazing!

I don't disagree that influence is a good thing, it's just that (in my opinion) certain songs have an incredibly STRONG resemblance to some Joy Division stuff, specifically the basslines, almost to the level of plagiarism.

I just wondered whether the "Control" bit was a reference to Joy Division ("She's Lost Control" is one of their most famous songs and "Control" is the name of a biographical film about the Joy Division lead singer, Ian Curtis).

This made him who he is now so he can grow and be creative from what happened. Life isn't always fair and it's not candy coated even if your famous. We grow up and move on from past offenses.
