  • The right side of the knife? you must mean the wrong side! haha.. see what I did there?

  • wat is de prijs van de dragonfly? krijg ikgeen problemen als de politie dit in me zak vind? ikdenk van niet want het is echt een kleine mesje denk ik..

  • @Dkguerilla Prijzen varieren, zeker online.

  • What light is that next your phone?

  • @HurtsWhenYouLaugh A Surefire L1

  • wow that is some fancy knife flicks!

  • amazing review, you covered more points than i expexted, and i reallly really enjoyed the cutting demos! A+ to you sir

  • best review iv'e seen! great job!

  • Great review! I was never a big Spyderco fan... Until I got my hands on a carpenter steel Manix 2... Then came a moonglow.... The came a g10 Dragonfly... Damnit I don't see this addiction ending anytime soon! Keep up the great work.

  • Also, you should make a video on how to do that nice flip you do at around 3:10. That would be a cool trick to learn.

  • I have to chime in with zuyzuy- this is one of the best knife review clips I've seen. You're really good at this.

  • @jxwhad thanks I'm trying to do more, but I find it hard to find the time.

  • Seeing all the dutch packages and posters of Nederland, Colorado (been there too this summer) I assume you are dutch as well. My compliments for your great pronounciation and little accent. In the beginning I couldn't really find out where you were from until I saw the aforementioned things. Keep up the good work!

  • @Rundfunk90 You're right about my heritage. Thanks for the kind words on my pronunciation, I spent plenty of time in a language lab in college to get it right ;-).

  • This is gotta be one of the best Knife Reviews I have seen on Internet. I love how you illustrated the words with video. And the person on the Video really knew how to flick the knife around. GREAT!!! This is gotta be reviews 2.0. Keep them coming please!

I will definitely get the knife.

  • Fit and finish on these little G10 Dragonflies is EXCELLENT. Probably the most precisely finished Spydie I own. Blade centering is perfect; grind is meticulous; pivot is smooth and precise with a firm click; not even a hair of blade play.

It's a classy small EDC blade.

Spydercollector's review is also excellent with great fit and finish! ;) The only thing I may disagree with is his observation about the cusp on top of the thumb ramp -- it's not annoyingly sharp and doesn't bother me at all.

  • Excellent image and very thorough review! It has the same lever or even better than nutnfancy, bluntruth4u, and thecajunblaze's reviews. Great addition, just waiting for more reviews to come. Thanks!

  • @Mateyhv1 Thanks, I have a bunch of review-ideas but sadly I'm lacking the time to make them. I hope I regain some more leisure time in a month or so.

  • This video is great! Thanks for the thorough review. You take extra consideration and pains to make a great production. Greatly helped my decision in purchasing knives. Thanks!!

  • love your video, very nice.but i have one question.who cares whats socially acceptable?as long as i am with in the boundries of the law, then so what?

  • @MrSonofagun45 Well, I for one. I prefer to convince people of the usefullness of a pocket knife in the modern urban world. I pride myself in winning quite a few people over who bought their own Spydie. I found that shoving my 5 inch tactical folder 'down their throats' didn't quite do the trick ;-). A Military while camping or extensive yard work is just as socially acceptable as the Dragonfly cutting up fruit at the local shopping mall. This also matches the legal boundries of my country.

  • man you make some of the best knife reviews

  • Nice review! One question: what is the name of that spyderco in the upper left corner at 0:05 ?

  • @bvs133 Thanks, the knife you mentioned is a Spyderco Kevin Wilkins collaboration called the Leafstorm.

  • @Spydercollector

Thx. After using putting it into Google, I found your (again nice) review about that one too. lol

  • Holy cow this review was awesome! Subscribed!

  • Excellent review, I've watched this many times. Great production values - like an infomercial (if you'll forgive the term), but honest!

  • @dvconcrete THank you, I tried to make an honest and practical review.

  • Great review!

  • HOLY SHIT!! This guys makes great reviews!! Showing how he carries and use was epic man.

  • @TheMelonPopper thanks, I'm working on a new one. I hope to have it online in a week or two.

  • @Spydercollector Great!!! Im ready. Lol

  • I have just taken delivery of a Dragonfly largely due to your video, in the UK it is illegal so my EDC is comprised of 4 UK PKs mostly the UK PK CF version,I notice the Dragonfly has the gimped finger choil so a slipit version would make it the ideal legal EDC ,over to you Sal. Thanks for an outstanding video...

  • @pagant100 Thanks for watching. Interesting observation, I'd love to see a slipit Dragonfly, do tell Sal about this idea!

  • Actually, I only have the burgundy ZDP Calypso jr. and only one, so I'm not willing to part with it. The black Calypso jr. you saw in the vid is a vintage VG-10 Calypso jr.

  • @spydercollector would you be willing to part ways with a Calypso Jr ZDP? i can seem to find any for sale anywhere and i see in your vods you have more then one.

  • your review was excellent! I want one!

  • excellent review, really want to pick one of these up now

  • Damn nice review, I found more information here than I did on other 20 minute long videos on this knife. Good, straight to the point, wish you reviewed other knives. :)

  • @MetalSparks10 I intend to do just that, it's just a very busy moment in my life right now. All good things though, it just takes most of my time away from my hobby. I'll be back with more though.

  • Best moment @ 2:25 when you pop out the biscuits with flair, lol. Great video quality, great review...much appreciated.

  • Wow, I watch a lot of knife reviews on youtube but that was put together quite well. You crammed so much info into a tight, efficient, informative package with lot's of visuals and very nice definition. I'll be subscribing for sure.

  • straight to the point review - spyderco ought to send you some complimetary knives for your good work

  • @76bts Thank you for the kind words.

  • One word for this review: Solid. The speaker covered all of his bases in a concise fashion, and didn't get off track like many of the over-hyped youtubers out there. *cough* nutnfancy *cough*

  • This is an awesome review! Thank you.

  • great review

  • "portable zipper" ...I like that! Great Review! Just bought one of these.

  • fantastic review, i must say this is one amazing big little knife, i just started carrying a spydie chicago and i love the capabilites of the little spidies, they are just amazing blades, cant wait to pick up this one.

  • Nice vid! I think this knife is maybe a little bit expensive for such a small knife, but I think I'll get one so that I can always have a knife on me.

  • What was the other knife you brought in to compare wire clips with?

  • @An0nEeMouse a UKPK with foliage green G10 handle. Get one quick if you can, because it will be discontinued.

  • I gotta say bro.... very good review ! No bullshit talking and off the piont crap that some of the most popular reviewers on youtube tend to do!

Your simpily all about the knife in question rather than your life story and boring crap!

I subbed !! keep the great reviews flowing !!

  • @DJJimCowley Thanks for the kind words. I won't be able to do a lot of reviews, but I´ll defintely do more. Right now, I´m evaluating the Spyderco PPT, the Perrin folding streetbowie as it were.

  • Very good quality vid also the content :) And i like Spydercos.

  • GREAT review!

  • good vid...just subbed

  • This is the best review of Spyderco knife I have seen so far. And I have seen a lot, a lot of reviews. You talk fast and give us a lot of information even in your fast talk. Great review, keep comming with more!

  • @Raydeeen Thank you, I'm trying to take a different approach to this phenomenon called youtube knife reviews. I will work on a few things, rate-of-speech is certainly one of them. Thanks for watching.

  • Spydercollecter- Is there any way to restore the thin sharpness of the tip as it comes to from the factory? I've noticed after about 7 or 8 sharpenings it looses it thin tip

  • @Bustlead9 My main concern is preventing the tip from sliding off the stones when sharpening on the Sharpmaker, that way the thin tip is preserved. After losing the thin tip, I'd recommend reprofiling it on a smaller angle.

  • Yayy go Nederland!!! I live in boulder about 20 mins away from it, beautiful town. Love the dfly might have to make a trip down to the sfo :)

  • "more socially acceptable for non-knife people"

    hahahaha

  • Nice review, good enough to convince to get one. I think I "need" the urban as well..!

  • where did u learn the knife tricks at 3:13?

  • @Pwn3dify Sadly, I'd have to admit I 'learned' myself, fiddling with your folders while watching TV can do that if you give it enough time. ;-)

  • Great little knife, I have the Urban very simular knifes.

  • im diggin it!

  • its a very pretty knife I have the ss version with no jimping

  • yo u talk really imean REALLY fast...

  • @Pwn3dify I know, I mentioned it in the bylines, chalk it up to enthusiasm. I'll try to talk slower in the next vid. You can always watch it again to clarify things ;-)

  • Excellent review! My god this is probably my favorite style of review. Please keep these up. You have my full support as a subscriber! :)

  • Great Review

  • ur good at deployment

    nice vid man

    kind regards

  • are you left handed

  • @UglymanUSA Mostly, for finer motor skills I prefer my left hand, gross motor skills I usually do right handed (like throwing a ball).

  • Very well done video, one of your best - excellent editing. Last night i had to use my delica FFG as a steak knife as a friends house, and i could not believe how well it cut through the meat!

  • Great vid!!! I love the editing, no dead time, direct to the info.

  • great vid man just missed out on price range. excellent variety on the usage clips like the nylon rap and the like. i liked the phrase portable zipper too

  • a very handsome set of edc items. i have the s.s. dragonfly, the surefire torch, and the Leafstorm. How do you like the surefire pen? that is the color i would like to have also. could i burden you with one more question? i noticed the belt you were wearing in the video. could you tell me what & where. thanks again and you may be interested in viewing some of my knife videos. cheers ----mick--->

  • @mickthepope The Surefire pen is pretty neat, it's pretty big though and some find it a bit heavy, but I like the heft and it writes very smooth. The belt is a Spec-Ops rigger belt, I got it from their website..

  • Awesome review. I like this format a lot.

  • i love the move you did at 3:14! ill have to practice that one. haha this is a great reveiw and cool knife.

  • thanks for the excellent review , thats one hell of a cutter!

  • Great job - makes me really want this one now, had my eye on the G-10 version for a while. By the way, I like that tactical belt - what brand?

  • @Lucentdawn It's a Spec-Ops rigger belt.

  • right now im carrying a 4 inch wave tanto knife I dont think its socially acceptable lol

  • @Woodsman126 More power to you! My preferred EDC knife is the 3,5 inch Stretch 2 in CF. I carry it a lot, but sometimes I don't feel like discussing my choice in knives and that's when it helps to have a smaller and more colorful knife like the Dragonfly. It also helps to win non-knife people over, some of them got into knives because of my smaller spydies .
