  • @narayanmimi Mariah is not a contralto.

  • @CelineChanteuse, totally agree, mariah is still better and what's most impressive is that she's a contralto whereas lea is a mezzo. Mariah has impeccable technique because it's very impressive for a contralto to belt a g5 whereas it isn't as much for a mezzo(lea). But lea is still amazing, vis a vis her contemporary rivals for that matter :).

  • That A5! o.o

  • SHE'S INCREDIBLE.

The most talented girl I ever heard! <3

  • @rfvmarques12 Oh. That song is My Life Would Suck Without You originally by Kelly Clarkson :)

  • @stardusth2o . thanks :D

  • thanks, but I would like to know the name of the song in minute 12:30

  • @rfvmarques12 The song is Don't Rain On My Parade from the episode Sectionals in season one. It was originally sung by Barbra Streisand in the play and film version of Funny Girl :)

  • The name of the music 12:32?

  • I think 6 peoples are deaf.

  • Reach super high notes does not mean to be a super great singer (Mariah reaches those notes in whistle and there's no way she can belt an A5 and make it sounds awesome as Lea)!!

  • @Mikeehound Mariah in her prime was 10x better at high belting than Lea ever was.

  • @CodyRawlukTV ...No she doesn't.

  • She has 5 octaves bro.

  • @CodyRawlukTV 5 octaves? I guess if the lowest note is very low then I guess maybe but Mariah has a 5 octave range and can go up to a D7 if not higher... I don't think Lea can go THAT high... not that I live Mariah... just saying.

  • @Gleek1able I like Taylor's music but she does not have the voice, dramatics, and interpretive skills to be eponine. But I will always have lea salonga as the best eponine

  • 13 mins and 24 sec of lea michele vocals? Sounds worth it! Really burst my brain out!!

  • Oh, how I wish I could see her live!

  • autotune my ass jezz this is amazing

  • I'm sure she can do a C6 or maybe push to a D6 since she seems to be a soprano and her notes are well-supported.

  • Is it me or her use of vibrato is too wobbly and she has trouble sustaining them. I also feel like she mixes her notes a lot.

  • I FUCKING LOVE HER *__*

  • what song is she singing from 1:50-1:56? :D

  • @andieestella "Waiting For Life" from "Once on This Island".

  • i wish i new what this stuff was .

  • are you going to make another one after this season, if so, she finally used her head voice, and it was an A5!

  • Though I LOVE her A5, those C5 on Firework and My man Killed me <3

  • @teototallyspie No problem :)

  • @teototallyspie She hits notes in the fifth octave but her voice doesn't cover 5 OCTAVES. If her range was from A1-A5, then yes, she'd have 5 octaves. Her voice only (as far as we currently know) covers only 2.3 octaves. She doesn't even cover the entire fifth octave.

  • @stardusth2o A1-A5 are 4 octaves.

  • i cant believe she sung "my man" live, its a real hard song to sing!!! she is so talented but beside her amazing voice, she has the personality, her voice is so touching and she is so great actress and sweet funny and kind woman, that´s why i love her!!! i love rachel she is the best in there! and stop talking about barbra ! lea is only 25 we dont know what will she be on future, she doesnt need to be barbra because she is amazing as she is!

  • lea never fails to impress me, she hit in Bb5 once though

  • perfect video for each note practise

  • @MrBrawler92 The first one is from the Musicares performane where she performed it in front of Barbra Streisand. The clear one is from a performance at Feinstein's before she was on Glee.

  • Do you know they took down that amazing Faithfully video?

  • @NewDirectionsGirl I know!! Thank goodness I got it before they took it down.

  • I honestly do not like her vocals as much as I like Amber's vocals... but she is still an undeniably amazing singer with an incredible voice ^^

  • people cannot compare lea to demi lovato....

  • @Fullhouserocks23 I agree. I'm a fan of Demi's, but Lea has more technique in her singing.

  • i just watched this for the A5. haLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO she's amazing.

  • Lea would be perfect to play a Disney princess since her style is mainly Broadway.

  • She did an A5 on a guest appearance on the Cleveland show. I think it was just a pretty strong head voice note, but I guess some people would classify it as a mixed note. Want the link?

  • @Astariel2525 !!!!!!!! YES!!!! :D

  • @stardusth2o

Oh, sorry, I checked and it's an E5. Dodo me. I think it's still pretty cool though, and could possibly be used to further analyze her voice.

    /watch?v=IUMKlj9BwMo

It's 15 seconds in. And yes, that's actually her.

  • @stardusth2o

can you do a amber riley live vocal range? she has hit an E3 in her cover of 'someone like you'. :)

  • @chewerboy I'm actually working on it right now :)

  • she is amazing, maybe even the next barbra, she is my favorite on glee, other than charice, and amber

  • @123buffylover She's got talent but no way... Barbra Streisand's voice at it's prime was truly incomparable... no singer can beat that voice, no singer.

  • @stevesg92 Barbra possesses one of the greatest voices ever. But her voice is NOT the best.

  • @ManOfBamboo Ok then, whose voice is? Because I can't think of anyone that comes even close. Listen to the Main Event by Streisand... better with headphones... and tell me who has a more clear, smooth and powerful voice than her... just one example

  • @stevesg92 An equally or more clear, powerful, and smooth voice than that of Barbra Streisand?

    1. Billie Holiday

    2. Ella Fitzgerald

    3. Dionne Warwick

    4. Mariah Carey

    5. Whitney Houston

  • @ManOfBamboo You have got to be kidding me! Literally kidding me! I'd say the second after Barbra is Whitney.... I'm guessing that you're a person who isn't a big enough fan of Barbra that you haven't heard ALL her work?I have! I'm not talking about Evergreen or the Way we Were..... I'm sorry.....I actually really like Whitney but I'm being serious... none of the singers you mentioned come even close. Did you listen to the Main Event? Try Since I felt For You... no one has a vibrato like her!

  • @stevesg92 Actually, I am NOT "literally kidding" you. You asked me to name a voice more powerful than that of Barbra's; already, I can name Mahalia Jackson, Shirley Bassey, and Whitney. You asked me to name a voice clearer and smoother than Barbra's --- Billie/Dionne/Ella all had voices as clear, smooth, and soft as Barbra's. Oh, and please refrain from questioning how much of a Barbra fan I am. I love her --- she's not my FAVOURITE singer ever, but I do love her. Barbra is NOT insuperable. :)

  • @ManOfBamboo -_-

  • @stevesg92 ? :/

  • @ManOfBamboo Jackson.... raspy... Bassey... has the classic power of a black singer and indeed is a powerhouse... in 1970 Barbra Streisand's, which in most people's opinions was its prime was so powerful that it sounded at times like she was black and yet her voice was as crystal clear as a brilliant diamond.

  • @stevesg92 Mahalia (who is widely considered to be the greatest, most amazing gospel singer that ever lived) having a raspy effect in her vocals does not constitute inferior vocal power to that of Barbra. At all. Are you really trying to say that any white singer that possesses powerful vocals automatically sounds black by default? Dude, I hate to sound rude, but that sounds stupid. Nobody ever thought that Barbra was black, either.

  • @ManOfBamboo I didn't mean that literally. I just meant to say that at times ( Butterfly album) Streisand sounded almost like a black woman singing because black women usually have a characteristic sound to their voice and it really reminded me of that in certain songs.

  • @ManOfBamboo Plus... she is the greatest in my opinion because she is a blend of both great vocal power and softness and high range.... yes Bassey's voice is more powerful, you're right.

  • @stevesg92 Barbra is not the first singer in music history to possess vocal power or a big vocal range. She ain't the last singer to have all of those things either.

  • @stevesg92 watch this video.... I think there's more power in Barbra's voice than meets the eye...

Barbra Streisand as Madame Schmausen Schmidt Sings "Liebestraum" & "Mother Macree"

  • @ManOfBamboo billie holiday lacks range,

Whitney and Mariah for sure comes second to Barbra just don't forget Queen of Soul Aretha

  • @ralphromeoRR023 Billie Holiday was one of the greatest singers of the 20th century, vocal range is not the sole purpose of a vocalist. Aretha Franklin obviously comes first in any list of great female singers in music history, I also like Mariah and Whitney's voices better than anybody --- IMO, Mariah and Whitney have the top two most beautiful female vocal tones of all time.

  • @ManOfBamboo I would agree, but we must not, MUST NOT, leave out Ms. Celine Dion. She's right up there with top female voices of the century!

  • @stevesg92 The next.. means she wont beat it.. she will just be close to as good.

  • @stevesg92 and before you attack me with your opinions please note perfect Barbra as every singer isn't the perfect vocalist and does have bad qualities as well as amazing.

  • @Gleek1able I didn't say she was "perfect" and I realize you can't use a superlative like " she's the best or greatest" you have to say "one of the greatest" but she's right up there if you had to list the best and they would all be equals.

  • @sentfromupabove i was literally just writing that and looked down haha.

  • Nice video and note compilations she has strong belts she's like a modern day Barbra with her projection and vocal style.

  • @sentfromupabove Well Barbra is her idol so who knows hahahah

  • @sentfromupabove psshh... not even close to Streisand

  • @stevesg92 Didnt say she is.

  • I agree about her tone...not the best out there. That A5 is stellar stellar stellar!! I hate the crowd noise during it with a fiery passion!

  • Heller friend, fantastic video. I like her projection.

  • please make a video for amber :D

  • @xolilbraxo1993 Planning on it :)

Stay tuned and feel free to subscribe if you haven't already! :D

  • Goood job Cade! :) i love her on glee hehe.. that A5 slays xD

  • @MimiDahhling30 Haha I agree. Thanks <3

  • Great video :))

  • @Luxiusta07 Thanks!! :)

  • her A5 never stops giving me goosebumps

  • AMAZING VIDEO!

  • @kellyclarksonismygd Thank you <3

  • Love her high belts

  • Some of Those F#5's were Amber's, but this is still an Amazing Video, i have yet to see an A5 greater than hers.

  • @ccishot564 Which? I'd say the only one that could've been Amber's was 11:15 but Lea was singing the same note. And the F#5's on "And it feels like HOME!" aren't Amber because her mouth wasn't even moving. And thank you so much :) I agree, she has one of the best A5's Ive ever heard.

  • Great belting register !

  • she should explore her head register more. those D5s are beautiful. she can definitely go higher. that A5 at 'halo' slays. such a young talent!

  • She's the one I enjoy listening to the most on glee...apart from Amber. Her voice is beautiful and she has good technical ability. Her lower register is muffled and pretty weak. I love her D5s the most.

Some criticism I'd note is that her head voice seems underdeveloped...and that she has tempo issues.

    Great job on this ^^.

  • @KyoHanjin Thank you so much! I agree, she really needs to work on her headvoice. I think she has temp issues as well. Her vocals at her Tony's performance wasn't in sync with the music. She was a little behind.

  • I think she has a wider range. She just does not use her head voice much.

  • was she ever eponine on les mis?

that C5 on the wizard and i...i love how relaxed her face is...thats how you sing with ease

such a great compilation of belts from a talented young singer/actress. i hope this will also lead to people listening to spring awakening (such a great soundtrack). great video...just great

  • @agators212 Oh.. she would be.. but you know.. Taylor Swift got the role.

  • Great video :)

  • @Chimier Thank you! :)

  • Great video, btw.

  • @VaunTV Thank you! :)

  • I know I'm alone, but, her tone ANNOYS me, well, most of the people in Glee seem to have annoying tones, to me. She has a really nice voice, though. Very well trained. A nice lower registry, not much range, but nice. A great chest voice & pretty head voice.

  • her upper belts give me chills

  • Amazing! Incredibl vid stardusth! Looks amazing! Luv her voice!

  • Great Video! I love her high belts! Great Work! =)

  • @TheTomimomi455 Thank you :)

  • What a voice! I don't watch the show but I listen tot he covers they do and her and Amber are just awesome! :D

  • @mAnNyElLaTiNo33 I agree :)

  • @stardusth2o :)

  • I like her Streisand covers. Great talent.

  • @elrynx2 I agree

  • She does have an incredible voice! Her technique is wonderful! She should be able to go at least up to a C#6 in head voice!

  • @ThePianoguy89 I agree! Wish she displayed her headvoice more :/

  • @stardusth2o Yes!
