It's a 25 episode series and there is (still) the possibility of a second season *though it would be the first time they've ever made a major split season of a Macross series.

I think that if they did it would feel forced. the ending was nice, and the only major thing not done at the end was the love plot. aka Who does he choose. This way we can all draw our own ending to that and no one is pissed

hey, have you notice that the OP may tell the story of their fates or whats going on. Like I know this sounds so stupid and makes no sense, but Ranaka in the first OP and this one, she is always at his right side, and that's like an advantage and she is always the first to be showed? then Sheryl is sinking with red ribbons? like death? but I still believe that Sheryl will end up with Alto cuz they are going to be getting really close. ah...I wish it was ranka.

yeah..I keep watching the opening and you know the triangle part? It's first blue then pink then Ranka's triangle is fartest from Alto, but it is the main one in the middle. I dunno, but when sheryl is sinking her triangle is disappearing. Anyways well see what happens, I hope it runs longer than 28 episodes like Macross 7.
