The point of the whole clip is not WHICH religion is responsible, it is that ALL RELIGIONS can be used as an excuse and catalyst for some people to do extreme and horrific things in the name of what they believe to be right. Religion vindicates and validates all of their actions because their supreme moral judge agrees with them. It's self-aggrandizing masquerading as humility and servitude.

Democratic? Doesn't feel too democratic to those who've been removed and had their land and homes stolen. It's "democratic" in the same way as Apartheid South Africa.
