  • You know I think it is somewhat funny that northerners like track down our southern songs and bash them, do you like stalk us or something? And may I say I am a proud Southerner born and raised <3

  • like they way it sounds like a record. old times.

  • True the South had slaves, but the North also profitted from their labor, as well

  • @Trance1972 only 6 pecent had slaves

  • @woods8870

Oh I know. Most people in the South were dirt poor and had only the clothes on their back. What I was referring to was the 'northern snobbery' who chastised the South for having slaves, but wasen't above purchasing goods made by those same slaves

  • We the People love America. They don't. We pledge our allegiance to ONE nation, under God, INDIVISIBLE, with liberty and justice for ALL. They won't. They're un-American.

We the People believe all slavery is wrong. They don't. They think it's wrong for white people to be slaves, but see nothing wrong with white people owning blacks (or, as they call them, "n-----s"). They're hypocrites.

Hatred is wrong!!! God bless America!!!

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks The Confederacy is not racist you fucking sterotype nigger. Yes a nigger which in my dictonary it is any color that believes they can be racist but when someone else is racist its wrong.

  • @punisher77212 The real dictionary defines your beloved N-word as an offensive term for a black person, "a word expressive of racial hatred and bigotry," and "the most offensive and inflammatory racial slur in English." You use the term because you consider black people inferior. You use it against people of other colors when you wish to pay them the ultimate insult (to you), and accuse them of being as inferior and worthless as a black person.

Enjoy the hate speech warning, asshole.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks So you believe everything books say right? Books are not always right you know. Maybe be there when history happens numbnuts.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Does that include the afro-americans that call themselves and others of the same race a "nigger"? I don't think blacks see themselves as being inferior.

  • @TheYvdW Obviously not. Black folks don't consider black folks to be genetically or inherently inferior to other races. Racists do. That's why they call them the N-word, remember?

Now get on back to your Brazilian soccer and Bill O'Reilly videos. Leave the American Civil War alone.

  • @TheYvdW I have never understood the "cracker" part so It doesn't offend I think its sounds silly but thats just me..

  • @nccountrygirl1762 Hi Country girl".. Being Bred & Born In Georgia, The term For "Crackers" came from the Teamsters that drove the Mule & Horse Drawn Wagons. When Need be, They would "Crack" the whips over the Mules heads to get their attention & Pull. :-) :-) Nothing Derogatory Meant, In the Term. Thanks Lady"

  • @MartinD28V1 it actually came from the sound the whip made when the man whiped the slaves he was a cracker it later was used toward all white people not just the whip cracker

  • tht one girl cant sing

  • There's nothing rascist about this. Look at the lyrics. Its historical. If the war hadnt been fought noone would even blink about it.

  • Wow, how old is this? Cool. Very authentic. Thanks for posting.

  • @edko426 ^1916. Very historic and cool, indeed!

  • Im on that racist part of youtube.

  • @MrOddfuture95 Pot meet kettle.

  • all of those 77 dislikes are from negros

  • i bet that yank troll has no idea wth manners even are dare fight for their country pitiful lame asses go do some good for your country

  • What do you get when you mix a few douchebags and dumbass yankees who stereotype while trolling on Confederate videos? A bunch of dumbass trolls who don't have a life and have a brain the size of a pea, and who would be more productive at sucking shit through a swizzle stick.

  • What do you get when you mix the scum of Ireland, Scotland and Holland? You get a bunch of drunk, violent, racist god-botherering cunts with chips on their shoulders the size on Everest. In other words you get the South.

  • Stupid confederates haha

  • @MrSoadrocks Stupid Yankee don't know what patriotism is even if it hit them smack in the face like a ton of bricks.

  • @RebelSoldat1 So that's what happened to RPHB's teeth. I assumed it was the Krispy Kremes Donuts by the Kaped Krusader! I still laugh at your description of that pitiful, wretched soul. I really do!

  • @RebelSoldat1 typical confederate bringing out the word Yankee we are not divided and shall not be we are all U.S. citizens and have to work together not against eachother. you lost the war get over it

  • @MrSoadrocks Sorry, it's kind've hard being friends whining Yankee trolls who have been attacking us for the last 150 years. Thats why we call them 'Yankees.'

  • @RebelSoldat1 the wars been over get over it we are one country now not two

  • @MrSoadrocks, why are you on this video?

  • Reasons why confederates are stupid. Daniel Decatur Emmett the guy that wrote this song was a Northerner and was loyal to the union.

  • @MrWarriorhobbit reasons why your stupid, you think we care...lol

  • Rosa Parks should have rode a bike...

  • @dieseled3 hahahaha

  • Lynard Skynard should cover this song.

  • @dmaradona10 only if you could spell the name

  • @dmaradona10 dumbass you cant even spell it thats how i can tell you dont know nothing about lynyrd skynyrd and plus the new band is just terrible

  • @swordsallday Ok grammar police. It's Dumbass not "dumbass." It's can't not "cant." It's that's not "thats." It's I not "i.:" It's you don't know anything not "you don't know nothing." I can go on and on with your obvious assault on the english language, but I'll stop. Now stop listening to Lynyrd Skynard and go read a book.

  • @dmaradona10 and you spelt it wrong again why would i waste my time with good grammar when they get the message, just pisses me off how you can say that and not even spell it write.

ps you spelt it wrong again it LYNYRD SKYNYRD

    MR RONNIE WOULD NOT APPROVE

  • @swordsallday Neil Young was right Lynrad Synrad sucks. You're the one who pointed out that I misspelled the bands name and you can't even complete a sentence with numerous errors. Lame.

  • @dmaradona10 Stop sucking a hot dog like its a dick and read a book about how yankees have more atheists, abortionists, "gangsters", murders, And of course people like you. Even if the south was racist we have the right to express our believes so stop crying like a bitch and go to another country.

  • @punisher77212 Nobody wants to read your disgusting hot dog fantasies, keep that perversion to yourself. That other vile crap you wrote is so full of ignorance that I don't even know where to start, so I'm not going to.

  • @dmaradona10 Lol whatever you say liberal democrate fanatic.

  • @dmaradona10 Nice google comes in handy huh? I am not saying i wish the states were fighting again but if the confederacy we would not be in an economic congress, We would have no corrupted politics, And sniffing our nose in every other countries business. I love america but hate people like you thats in it. Freedom of speech is aloud so I can say whatever I want and if you oppose it get the fuck out of America.

  • @dmaradona10 Economic crisis*

  • @punisher77212 I understand how you believe in some sort of warped revision of history.

Also since when has "Even if the south was racist we have the right to express ourselves" ever been a rational thought? It hasnt, you should probably stop embarassing yourself on Youtube.

  • @MikeJGallagherJr

True. Keep in mind, when the slaves were freed, even Robert E. Lee praised it as being an ultimately good thing. Racism remained just as stupid on either side.

  • @RidingBesideMe RACISM IS NOT STUPID BLACK PEOPLE ARE STUPID

  • @RebelSoldat1 get at me

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks u do know that both Confederate Soldiers and Union Soldiers both were both "American" just because its a civil war that doesnt mean anyone becomes independent from the main land, and im from Louisiana, so im not trolling, just informing u that u are kind of in the wrong here

  • GOD BLESS DIXIE ! according to James Carville ,i live in the ALABAMA part of Pennsylvania, and though he may think its a knock, i take it as a compliment, i would stand shoulder to shoulder with my southern brothers any day, i love OUR rich history, all of it ...NO Apologys

  • @RebelSoldat1 hahaa you act like you fought in the war or something. Neither of you guys were and both of you are dumbasses for dividing up the country again. Get with the times and if you are racist we don't want you here.

  • @dieseled3 Proud to be American! Southern by the grace of God!!!!!!

  • ...and? My grandad could sing when he was 20, but not when he was 75...listen to him singing 'Heart of Oak' now...sure a proud gleam in his eye, but best left to the choir, to be honest...

  • Lol...this is an awful rendition, clearly done by people who never heard of singin'

...and this lesson from history soon to be 'rit large in Europe.

  • @NCaradoc2008 You do know that this was sung by old Confederate veterans, right? These men would be in their 60's and 70's.

  • ...Contiued Black people can talk, think, taste, converse, argue, read, and write as much as white people who is to say that whites are better than blacks why should only whites get the freedom? we are in a new era whereas now it is said the best golfer is black the best rappper is white the only way to create a truly "free" state is to see eye to eye with other nationalities

  • I notice a lot of people have been commenting on how the south was better because they gave the states freedom, but when you say "states" which population was that? the white population, or the black population? sure they might have given the white population more freedom, but what freedom was given to the black population? is that truly the definition of a free state? this half gets freedom the other does not? people say it is because black people are not people at all, how?

  • @xXpersuasionistXx When racists talk about "the South," they don't include black people and non-racists. They consider black folks to be less than human, so they don't include them. In reality, today's South is great because it is filled with millions of people of all colors who love America, understand that slavery and racism are wrong, and would never turn traitor or murder American soldiers to preserve the confederacy's "cornerstone" of white supremacism and racism. God bless the real South!

  • @redhook4 true it gave white people the freedom to make choices, and not have the government make choices for them, however did it give black people that freedom? the freedom which you say defines the south as being greater than the north?

  • well maybe if we still had slavery our inner cities wouldn`t be the slums that they are today

  • Y do u guys fight on youtube yall maybee older than me but u guys act like freaking childs when u fight on the internet i mean come on get a life and stop fighting on the internet

  • Wow, another closed-minded child lecturing the world about American history and the Civil War even though he's NEVER EVEN GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL and NEVER EVEN READ his own Cornerstone Speech or Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, or SC declarations of secession. Don't these arrogant, ignorant little boys have any intellectual humility or sense of shame? I wouldn't pretend to have all the answers about, say, surgical techniques, because I don't have a degree in the subject and I'm not a dick.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Don't you mean American propaganda? Remember that the victors get to write the history books. And yes, you are a dick. If you think Southerners are so traitorous, than why is 65% of the American military is made up of Southerners today? Why are America's greatest soldiers always Southerners? Cont>

  • @rex43455 I know the names of the slaves he owned. A 5-second Google search would tell you. So how many slaves did he own? When? Where? What were their names? These are simple questions, boy. Why do you keep ducking them like a little bitch? I'm sorry that you never even graduated high school.

  • Why can't people just get along? In the end were all the same so why does it even matter if some one is a certain color or believes in a certain ideology? It doesn't concern you anyways. And you came here to listen to the song not bash on people over youtube. Out entire 21st generation is going to total waste :(

  • @FastPonyGT

Well he needs to realize that not all confederates are racist. The confederacy emerged from States Rights issues not slavery. Im a colored person and i looked passed petty stereotypes of Southerners. My best friend her entire family is Southern heritage and I enjoy learning from them about their lifestyle as do they to mine. smh We need to learn to coexist :p

  • Actually, the confederacy emerged from slavery, as they proudly said at the time. You really shouldn't lecture us about the Civil War when you've never even read the Cornerstone Speech or Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, or South Carolina declarations of secession. The declarations cited "slave" and "slavery" a whopping 82 times, but "States Rights" not even once. The only "states right" the confederacy cared about was the "right" to enslave, whip, rape, and lynch people they considered inferior.

  • Um folks..gotta tell you's something see. In reading all your comments, and actually getting and education here. Very interesting. it's not name calling and mud slinging, it's intelligent banter based with facts and avoidance of getting emotionally personal. Which I admire Im Canadian, with You're a Pee'in background..I don't know much about politics , forgive my self imposed ignorance nothing personal. But don't really care. I just like the upbeat Sound, the tone, the march beat good for beer!

  • @Paully41 Look at it THIS way..suppose we took your favourite song from the past> Some catchy beat like say Sing, sing sing.Glen Miller. Then one day your discovered the original llyrics and meaning came from some weird Klezmer tribe is east bulgar about the left over circumcision skins being melted into pour age and feed to bolshavik soldiers?? Suddenly some old die hard Commi writes how can we have the nerve to even listen to THIs song...wants to fight? You'd be like "Uhh Dude..relax man?? LOL

  • If you wish it so much ... pick your own dam cotton!

  • bitch i disliked and im mexican DUMBASS

  • What a stupid song......A true HICK song lol

  • @Exosquad11 if you dont like the song why is it on your favorite video lists :P

  • @DixieRebelSon Because it reminds me what happens when you mess with Old Glory.......You get pwned

  • @Exosquad11 This was written by an abolitionist from Ohio. Listen to the lyrics. If you don't like the song styles of the 1800's, then don't listen to them.

  • @AntiRacismAndHateCom "If I had known to what use they [Southerners] were going to put my song, I will be damned if I'd have written it." Quote from Daniel Emmitt

    Need I say more???

  • @Exosquad11 Hitler listened to Opera and Stalin frequently listened to Classical music. Should I stop listening to Opera and Classical music just because of Hitler and Stalin. That is just idiotic.

Also, you need to understand the point of view of others. Watch the movie "Gettysburg" and you can see that both sides thought they where doing what was right. Even England supported the South's right to succeed during the Civil War. And the Civil War had nothing to do with slaves at first.

  • @AntiRacismAndHateCom What is idiotic is that you think the Civil War had nothing to do with slavery.....The southern hicks will argue the Civil War had to do with States Rights....The states right to do what???? TO DO SLAVERY!!! Also I highly suggest you Harry Turtledove's Novel about what happened when the South did win the Civil War.....Scary to think about if you're not WHITE!!! =P

  • @Exosquad11 Further more, slavery was starting to die down even before the start of the Civil War. The south succeeded because of fears of a Republican President negatively impacting their way of life.

  • @AntiRacismAndHateCom That is such bullshit ....I am a History Buff and I know for a fact and the South could have cared less who was President....If he was not from a southern state the South would have Seceded REGARDLESS....South Carolina Led that charge being the Uber Hick state.... the other states were more divided they probably would have stayed like Kentucky, Missouri or Maryland did....West Virginia doing a secession of their own seceding from the Old Dominion State

  • @Exosquad11 If you are such a history buff, then why don't you know the reason for the south seceded. Ending slavery in the south wasn't the goal until after the battle at Gettysburg. Here is what % of the US were slaves... 1800: 17.6%, 1810: 16.1%, 1820: 15 %, 1830: 15.6%, 1840: 14.7%, 1850: 13.9%, 1860: 12.8%, and 1870: 0%. It was going down percentage wise slowly before the civil war. The US was trying to keep the south from seceding since the end of the Revolutionary War.

  • @AntiRacismAndHateCom Actually, slavery massively increased, from just 700,000 slaves in America in 1790 to 1.2 million in 1810, 2 million in 1830, 3.2 million in 1850, and 4 million in 1860.

The South seceded because the election of a Free Soil president threatened the expansion (and thus future) of slavery, the "cornerstone" of the entire South. The South proudly said so in their Cornerstone Speech and Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, and South Carolina declarations of secession.

  • @AntiRacismAndHateCom Ron Paul basically gave you my response.....Slavery was not on the mend and probably would have continue to increase as the population grew.....I have nothing against the poor whites who fought in that war ....there were lambs to the slaughter all in the name of slavery...most of them didn't even own slaves....it was the plantation owners, the 1% who benefited at someone else expense.....kinda whats happening on wall street raping the middle class.....

  • @Exosquad11 The south wanted more state power and the north wanted more federal power. Lincoln becoming President was the straw that broke the camels back.

  • @AntiRacismAndHateCom Lincoln was a radical republican in name only he never would have done anything that would have torn the union asunder... Yes he would have promoted moving away from slavery in a way that did not antagonize the south even more...the last thing he wanted was to go to war ....the north already outlawed slavery and the majority in the north I am sure were not willing to go to war over slavery.....Secession YES!! And that's how Lincoln sold it...Brilliant!

  • @Exosquad11 and FUCK LINCOLN what fucking president should get credit for invading his OWN COUNTRY

  • Beutiful!

  • @redhook That's like complaining that people see the Holocaust as a Jew-non-Jew issue. The confederacy made it a black and white issue in their Cornerstone Speech and declarations of secession that you've NEVER EVEN READ. And the confederacy did have such a law---the confederate constitution explicitly barred any state from limiting slaver y in any way. Did you even graduate high school, boy?

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks you have got to be the dumbest fucking person to speak on something you don't fully understand you think your northern states were any better?? you had slaves just as we did so before you go bashing the south for having slaves take a look in the fucking mirror or better yet go back to school in learn your states history and if the south so fucking racist why did we have a black regiment in the confederate army stupid fuck

  • @540VAallday Yes, the North was better. Every Northern state peacefully and voluntarily abolished slavery, most years before the war. By contrast, every Southern state seceded and murdered thousands of American soldiers to try to preserve it until the end of time, then imposed another century of segregation (until Northern guns ended that, too). The North was far from perfect by today's standards, but it was a hell of a lot better than your alternative of neverending slavery and segregation.
