Honestly, I'm in ballet as well and I was NOT born with natural arches. Worse than hers, definitely. And I've stretched it and done everything I can and I work so much on technique. I mean I have a strong technique but everyone bases success on the arches of the dancer and it's frustrating. And I'm having little faith and struggling with continuing dance because of this. It's frustrating for me to see so many people concerned about her arches and not her technique and actual dancing.
i absolutely love it! wonderful<3 totally beautiful- finally I found the correct version of my favorite variation..i hope this is the one i'll dance in dance educators of america this year (2010) in my country- Panama im 12 btw if you are wondering my agee.. but I can handle it- don't worry ;)
I was wondering about her shoes the whole time, her half-points looked like they were done with slippers, and en pointe she was sometimes on an angle, but the transitions of her arms especially were absolutely beautiful!
you look *very* tense , just enjoy it more! yeah, it's easy talking about it, but that is what wouldve made the biggest difference, if you could calm down your nerves :-)
the other thing that looked like it was not ncessarily related to being nervous, was the entrechat-six: beat with your thighs, not the toes. Also the diagonal with slow steps & arms: bend more with upperbody.
i know and shes RUSHING THE VARIATION SO MUCH... more port de bras... shes like just going thru the movements... needs 2 b more romantic... u know? but its nothing that she cant do... jus work a little more on it... otherwise beautiful.
I think it was very well done. She uses what she has, her facility, nicely.

So she doesn't have the nicest feet, everything else was pretty good. Everyone needs to stop being so rude
sugarplumx94 6 months ago
the line of her feet are too straight, she has to train her feet more or take care of her pointes.

L'Etoile it is name of school, and name of this variation. If you don't liked it- don't watch. And who are you to gudge?

love the arms...sometimes she looks like she needs to grow into her shoes a bit though.
