i have to say that enver hoxha was a good leader to an extent. He pretty much achieved 100% literacy, made women equal to men pretty much completely, albania was pretty much agro-industrial under him, and with a strong military.
he was also a bad leader, as he abolished religion completely and gave no freedom to have a faith/belief, he spent too much time building hundreds of thousand of bunkers with machine gun nests and barbed wire. He also spent too much on chemical weapons.

After Communism fell in Albania, anarchy took over... And the people have suffered badly ever since.
I find it intresting that many of the people who detested socialism during the cold war now conveniently ignore the chaos that has taken hold in the former socialist countries, and how much every area of life for the working people of these nations has fallen. When you look at the big picture all these years later, it's quite sad to see how life ended up for these people.
