@akumashitsuji0 I'm not positive since I have PSE, but "blocky and pixelated" sounds like you just need to start with a larger canvas ^^ Also I think you Sai people have something called a "stablizer" or whatnot for your lines to make them smoother.

first, i make cel shading with the pen tool, and then i use the water tool to smooth it

or you can use the air brush tool, and use the water tool when is needed

just mess around with the tools on sai to find out what works better for you, the best way is practicing (i know how that practice thing can be annoying xD that's the true though :(

@ArtizFox O.O Oh man,that would be a BIG reason why your unable to draw like this. Graphic Tablet, is a pad like device with a touch sensitive surface which brings a pen in which you can draw just (well almost) like you would in real life. Most artist buy these and once eventually learned, can produce amazing art such as you see in the video. HOWEVER, skills like ru3na could take years to learn and master properly. So the only way is to keep practicing :/ Look up tutorials. Google is your friend

@ArtizFox Well more or less ^^' Lineart is done a lot faster than scanning your traditional drawing, then using the linework layer to adjust each node of the line you make. Coloring is also done easier depending on the type of coloring. So a tablet is better than using a mouse is what I'm saying, though you can still achieve satisfaction with a mouse as I have done in the past :3 Though cell shading or shading like in the video is a pain or plain impossible with a mouse imo.
