  • Again, What Live to Tell ultimately means is that Dreams Come True. As Madonna knows, we all can be happy even though Life and Love are very sad. Brilliant Song, Ballad and Performance. We all need to Cry Sometimes. Lady Madonna, you're the best!

  • @TaraAshleyTWILIGHT21 Madonna!

  • 1:52 is that Madonna or Marilyn?

  • Too bad this was never commercially available. Her singing here is actually beautiful. In the "Ciao Italia" video she is out of tune throughout, and her hair is a mess; she looks haggard and tired. Here, she is young, beautiful, and sings well.

  • I love this tour!

  • her dream came true.

  • caio italia, iown th dvd as well as others. to me this is her best tour ever. the picture behind her ,took me awhile to figure out if it was her or marilyn monroe . best performer ever. eddiegoforth@yahoo.com. any questions?

  • esta cancion es bien hermosa, siempre me ha gustado desde la primera vez que la escuche, yo naci en 1987, asi que no soy de esa generacion pero igual me encanta lo retro al estilo madonna

  • I have always liked this song, since i first heard it many many years ago...when it was released to be exact...but i do think that this song has been bettered when performed live...the keyboards/synth here, live, the part between 3:30-4:15 is extremely intense and emotional...far better than what you hear in the album version. Brilliant performance!

  • Te amo Madonna Queennnnnnnn

  • I've listened to 9 versions of this song today and, unfortunately, this is the worst. She has lost her upper range. Good song, poor performance.

  • For those who think that this tour is awful, maybe you are a younger fan and from a different generation.

In my opinion this is her best tour. The last time she sang live from start to finish and her voice was so so raw and sincere. The tour was revolutionary in many ways; when this tour came out and she was so cute and approachable and lovable.

  • @kevinmouch I know! This tour is awesome. It's a classic. I;m not from the Madonna generation but I totally appreciate this performance. I love her tours all of them, but this one was so simple. No props, or amazing lighting and videos. Just Madonna with a simple outfit, great classic dance moves and her unique voice. Thumbs up! Long live the queen.

  • BEST performance of this song ever!!!

  • @vanhalen8200 in kiddin me?! Have U not seen the performance of the confessions tour? Now THAT IS the best performance of this song. This performance along with this tour were whack, and this is coming from a madonna fan

  • @selmalover I just saw it . It was not good. She never had an amazing voice but it has degenerated over the years. The voice has to be taken care of like a beautiful instrument through lessons and excercies she has never bothered to do that, consistantly. Also someone standing in the same sacrificial cross positon for an entire song does't excitely scream creativity.

  • hinreissend schön!!

  • "Live To Tell" is such an amazing song. It's full of emotion and self-reflection. It's timeless and sounds just as great today as it did when it was recorded almost 24 years ago.

  • who tagged this one hihi dreams can come true..

  • man, i LOVE MADONNA!!!! THIS VIDEO IZ TIGHT!!!!!

  • Thanks for this!

    Happy days. :-)

  • she was such a hit and star at that time... unbelievable... just like abba

  • right...she was so lucky and charming and those perfect hit songs from the true blue album... although she fell into singing and wanted to be a professional dancer at first

  • She still is a hit

  • You got that right! More than a hit. The Guiness World Records lists her as THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FEMALE SINGER IN HISTORY, Now she is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!! She is as popular as ever, and the haters should go watch someone they SAY they like and leave M to us who love and support her. She just broke Elvis' Record for most top 10 Songs in HISTORY!!! A record that stood for decades, many thought no one could break it. The Beatles couldn't & nobody current has a chance, not hating any1

  • @marklulrich She isn't as popular as ever. In order to understand how popular she was in the late 80s and early 90s, you had to be alive then. At the time she was Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, Rihanna, P!nk, Eminem, Kanye -- combined! Once a person has made it as big as she did, they remain famous forever. But during her peak era she was the biggest star in the world, on all magazine covers, on the TV all the time, etc.

  • @andrewdancing, I'll admit that M isn't at the peak she was, but as you said, what she's achieved VERY few ever have. The fact that Guinness just re certified her as "The most successful female recording artist in the World" says a lot about how popular/successful/prolific she still is. She's a living legend, but let's not act as if nobody want's to go see her, or that her albums don't still debut at #1 US plus. Her last tour '08-09 was the highest grossing tour by a solo artist in history.

  • @marklulrich What I'm saying is that she is indeed still a success, but her current success is largely built on her peak era -- which is in the past. Even Madonna herself said at some point that she knows she will never have a record as big as "Like a Virgin" again. I'm not bashing Madonna. I was a fan back in 1982 before I knew she was "Madonna" and heard the song physical attraction on the radio. She's a cultural institution now, an icon. But her singles rarely go Top 40 in the US anymore.

  • @marklulrich I suggest you should watch mister Michael Jackson if you want to know who is the boss!

  • Yap .p .))

But at this time... she sure was the Top 1!! Everyone from every age just liked her... :) and yap, she's still a very respectable hit. (I still love it) .))

Her power & charisma is still unbeatable, and still goes on... The day she retires, I wish she gets the whole recognition and respect she just deserves... wonder when she'll take that decision... .)

    Cheers!

  • still is

  • Yume-ga-kanaimasu.

"Dreams come true" (in japanese). ;)

Love that message at the beginning. ;)

  • me too (:

  • hehe .))

  • ela e incrivel.

  • i understand the message of this song, you cannot trust completly in people because "a man/woman can tell a thousand lies".
