Why is this on Unsolved Mysteries? If anyone ever does find it they'll either become rich and never tell anyone that they found it. Or just die before they have a chance to tell anyone,if the legend is even correct.
nw corner of sup mtn trail end.entrance faces west. first gorge on the south side from the west end of the range. can see weaver needle to the south from above mine. I'll be back, gotta go get it, hope there's a five guys near there.
Hide the mine when he was 81? I guess the old fellow thought he would live forever or would take it with him when he died. What did Jesus say in Luke 12:16-21? Theres a good moral there to be learned.
Trust me folks, that the U.S. Government probably and more than likely got to this spot years ago and sealed off the area for a chance at finding it. Im sure they did already!
Wow that's sad...two brothers don't speak to each other anymore and one of them commits suicide...over a hidden gold mine. :( I'd never desert my bro over something like that, as frustrated as I'd be about not being able to find it.

I recommend the (underrated) noirish-Western 'Lust for Gold' from 1949 with Glenn Ford as 'the lost Dutchman' Jacob Waltz.
