  • This is exactly what I was looking for but I can not get Microsoft keyboard layout creator to work. It says I need .NET framework, I have it all ready but won't work. Would it be possible if I send you the keyboard layout source (.klc) file, and you could build it, then send me the installer?

  • can you also change backspace

  • thanks mate!

  • Noob

  • You can do that without dling any programs go to the keyboards on microsoft ime click properties and change romanji input to kana input

  • @Zhunishi Right, but that's not what we're trying to do. We want to make it to where you can press just one key to make the character appear.

  • omg, ty so much-Liked

  • You gave to link to 1.3.4073 instead of 1.4. here's the correct link

  • Can I ask which OS you're using? I used Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator on my previous computer, which was running Windows Vista, and it worked without a problem. My new PC runs on Windows 7, and the Keyboard Layout Creator doesn't display the keyboard--just a blank window--so I cannot use it. I've looked online for solutions, and others have this same problem but no answers yet.

  • @steve4nlanguage I use windows 7 ultimate. It's odd that it is not working for you.

  • @MrJaredbeachtuts After 2 hours of searching for a solution, I finally found a blog post by a Microsoft programmer that addresses the problem. It seems that MS knew about this bug but has shelved updating MSKLC. Anyway, the programmer provides a work-around which involves increasing the DPI settings on your monitor. Weird, I know, but it works for me now.

  • when i try to open it, it says i need to download some other shit

  • How to make it such when you type a string of keys a single character comes out?

  • @amazon3b2 That is the microsoft ime service. It comes with your computer

  • @MrJaredbeachtuts wait what do you mean? how do i use the service? i typed "ime" and "imput method" blahblahblah into my search box i got nothing that seem to be useful lol

  • @amazon3b2 Sorry. I mean you need to go to your keyboard settings and switch to japanese. You should see ime as an option

  • @MrJaredbeachtuts no worries, fixed it

  • i have a problem, when i hit enter or shift this is what shows up

    enter: \

    \

    \

    \

    \

    shift: |||\\|\|||\||||||||\||\\

i used the on-screen keyboard feature to write those

  • @make4you10 Are you using my layout? I think I might have made a very poor one.

  • ありがとごっざいました!

  • @krimsoncrimson you're welcome ;)

  • @krimsoncrimson ㅌㅌㅌㅔㄲㅋㅈㅅㄷㄷㅅㅏ Does this look right? I am not typing spaces between the characters (from created-layout keyboard).

Neither Japanese nor Korean would type into the input box of the layout program, so I pasted characters into the layout. And they come out too far apart, I think. It doesn't look right.

I don't understand. Why does it give so much space between characters? This surely wouldn't join characters into Korean words?! How could I get the characters closer together?

  • @midsummery that does not. You may want to follow the video instead and personalize it from scratch. It shouldn't take too long.

  • ありがとごっざいました!

  • ty for vid :)))

  • @93pavlaka Anytime! Thanks for the feedback.
