Most joints don't use a filter whereas most cigarettes do, and since marijuana contains more tar than tobacco, more tar is allowed to enter the lungs. Smoking anything is bad for you since more foreign matter is allowed into the small airways. Either one is bad for your lungs and doesn't make them any healthier. I also checked out that study, THC didn't reduce cancer tumors but cut their growth, which is remarkable. It does need more research though.
I think it should be legalized. People are going to use it no matter what and we already sell cigarettes and alcohol, which have proved to be much more dangerous; so why not weed? The government could make money off the tax dollars. Also, since some people do it not only for the high, but also because they get some thrill out of breaking the law, they might decide not to smoke it as much.

Very well put together video! It sure gets the point across. It's a simple solution to a lot of problems for sick people as well as healthy people , but I believe the government won't change it because the war on drugs creates such an enormous cash flow for them. Also enables them to control and decide the fate of so many.

i think people should be allowed to make there own choice to smoke marijauan. its the same as tobacco and is still just a plant like tobbacoo. thats all its. its just like a bit of tobbacco but slightly different. ALthough i don't think smoking is good for anybodies body but again its upto them. i think its pretty dumb to not allow people to grow weed when you see all the dangerous weapons the government allows for sale like guns and knives but they dont allwo a plant.

Although I'm not from the US (I'm a friend from the great white North ;D ) I completely agree.
Although in this video it seemed as though you were saying the legalization of marijuana would save lives, which it won't. It's worse for your lungs that cigarettes and although in the short term causes euphoria, in the long term it can cause depression and loss of ambition. Many of those people you showed were depressed. Hemingway actually died of suicide. But good video :)

Most joints don't use a filter whereas most cigarettes do, and since marijuana contains more tar than tobacco, more tar is allowed to enter the lungs. Smoking anything is bad for you since more foreign matter is allowed into the small airways. Either one is bad for your lungs and doesn't make them any healthier. I also checked out that study, THC didn't reduce cancer tumors but cut their growth, which is remarkable. It does need more research though.

I think it should be legalized. People are going to use it no matter what and we already sell cigarettes and alcohol, which have proved to be much more dangerous; so why not weed? The government could make money off the tax dollars. Also, since some people do it not only for the high, but also because they get some thrill out of breaking the law, they might decide not to smoke it as much.

this is based on half truths and faulty scientific information. the tar in marijuana is different than what you'll find in cigarettes; it does not break down into lead 215 which is what coats the lungs and causes damage. not only that, but vaporization and eating marijuana does not expose the user to any carcinogens whatsoever

Great video. Love the cat. You left out Robert Mitchum, Louis Armstrong, and Arnold Schwartzenegger. You probably had a long list of people you just couldn't fit in the video. Even the doctor couldn't talk my dad into using pot during his many cancer treatments because it was "illegal". It was awful to watch him suffer so much because he wanted to be a good citizen. I wish the fools in government would wake up and stop looking at a third of American citizens as criminals. It's just wrong.

Yet every week/month you hear about some dad who got drunk and slapped his wife and/or child around when he came back home. Yet alcohol is legal. My best friend's dad destroyed their family and died at 40 due to alcohol. That was in Poland...really shitty economy and wages as is... but for a widow mother?

I'm completely aware of that. I think alcohol is a million times worse than marijuana. I actually don't think marijuana is that bad, it's just the way it effects me is different from others. And although it's one of the biggest cash crops in america and would help the economy, I'm sure there would be other problems that would arise that nobody has every thought about yet if was decriminalized.

Maybe. Again, I'm going either way. There ARE benefits to it being legal. Especially the economy. The government would add tax to it and make even more money to hand out to car companies that don't need it. But I bet they would add many restrictions so your neighbors don't bitch about the smell. That may sound like the case, but it isn't always true. Drugs always affect people differently, just like alcohol. Some people become totally different, and some become an exaggerated version of their normal self.
I can't imagine weed ever becoming legal because there are so many things to consider, and the majority of the whores and politicians won't care to put in much effort into it.

I saw a video, Prince Charles at a clinic visiting a patient that was using it, he said that it helped him in the past with pain. as for Washington he was an AVID hemp farmer it is written all over the place about his hemp fields.

THC actually CAN help relieve a lot of symptoms of many medical problems, but unless you live in a state where medical use is legal, you're pretty much SOL. read up on amsterdam- it's legal there (for citizens) and they're statistics show the lowest hard drug addicts out of nearly every country (antartica surpasses them). see, weed is good :)

i have some stomach issues that cause me to go thru some pretty bad pain, and sometimes i get really depressed thinking about how shitty it can be. since i started smoking weed i have been able to go back to school and carry on with my life. Very well put together video! It sure gets the point across. It's a simple solution to a lot of problems for sick people as well as healthy people , but I believe the government won't change it because the war on drugs creates such an enormous cash flow for them.
