@johnkelly1992 Actually, rotation of the arm only (as suggested by idiots like yourself), use the the pectoralis major and subscapularis as primary muscles, both of which are NOT in the arm. "Using the body" in this sport allows one to use the hook, toproll, and tricep press techniques which use primarily the biceps brachii, bachioradialis, and triceps brachii muscles, respectively. Btw, brachium is Greek for arm. Notice these three muscles have "brach" in them? (sarcasm).
@johnkelly1992 So, the conclusion is as follows: Arm wrestling uses the muscles in the arm as I mentioned. Thus, the name of the sport is perfectly appropriate. Also, why should an entire sport be changed because of a name IF it wasn't perfectly fitting? Because a moron like you thinks so?? LOL Should powerlifting be changed because it involves a 1RM (strength) and not speed on contest day since power is W/t which = Fv? 2nd conclusion: You're pathetic.
This is my Pop I swear I can Bench 265 and outdo My Dad In any type of weightlifting exercise But for some reason he Is so freakishly strong He always beats me In an Arm wrestle.I guess I will know what Its Like In about 40 or so years
@lordvoldemort578 It's all about grip strength. Most men in their 40's and 50's who do any kind of physical activity at work have insanely strong grips from working for so many years.
His arms look awesome! Nice, muscular and strong. I doubt he is that old although he probably is older than most arm wrestling but I can tell you, I would be intimidated to arm wrestle him!

He seems tall. Longer arm, more leverage. Time has grayed his hair. I think I saw that last name a long time ago in connection to this sport.
