  • Great song, but it's sad that none of the bands of today don't go out and make themselves catchy and unique. Or if needs be try what Rush did and say "It's our music and darn it we'll fight to keep it that way."

  • I have been saying for 30 years now that YES was way ahead of everyone else and it tales a person with an open mind and knowledge of what I say to understand! Yes will never be Yes without Jon Anderson! They need to make a time capsule and send Yes music in it!

  • Sorry Jon, but it cannot happen to 6 JB / LG fans over there. Pity them..

  • This was the song that got me into Yes. I remember this as a kid playing on MTV a lot.

  • 6 people didnt want it to happen...lol!!!

  • I can't fully describe the impact this song and video have had on my life. It gives me hope that the utmost of anyone's potential is within reach. You can make it happen. Wherever you are and whatever your situation, the best can happen for you. Prepare for the best for yourself. It can happen....

  • @thecarebearhideaway couldnt agree more. well said!

  • What kind of bass is Squire playing?

  • Ok Now! YES is one of the best bands to ever come about! So many awesome hits from the 70's and 80's! I have so many great memories of life and this cassette! Oh those summer nights sneaking out with my friends to sit by the river and look at the stars and play this cassette and dream about life and love and feeling like life doesnt get any better than that moment and you know, it just doesnt. The power of youth is very strong. It holds onto us throughout our life. Awesome song! I miss it all!

  • what a power tune!

  • Awesome vid and song....it can happen.

  • Jon Anderson and Trevor Rabin make the best vocal pair of history. So different, but they complement each other so well.

  • amazing song... best message!! "...we architects of life"

  • I just wish there was more exploration in popular music today.

  • Pure Poetry! Look Up Look Down Look Out Look Around. Itcan happen. It's aa crazy world outside. This for us to see!

  • best band ever!!!

  • Jon Anderson was the best part of YES. His voice so distinctive and brilliant. One of the best vocalists of Rock N Roll.......

  • They cut the best bit for the single edit! (the guitar solo)

  • trevor rabin era is the best in my opinion

  • @rushbum Indubitably!

  • Its funny how they don't show Trevor Rabin that much, I guess the label was afraid that fans might notice its not Steve Howe. LOL Trevor is awesome.

  • @ViciousAlienKlown trevor hated they make up they put on him in this video!!! Thats why you don't see him. He said in Yes greatest video hits from 1991 that he looked like freddy mercury from 1973 or from transylvania!!!

  • @1978mtb LOL!

  • It hasn't happened to 4 people.

  • It happened to me and I got 2 years in prison for it!

  • Best Motivational song hands down!

  • Never seen this video its great!!! I love Yess !!!!

  • ion´s voice and chris´s bassguit - what else the fan of YES need?

  • I saw them in 1985. Pretty cool, but I wish I could remember more of it...

  • A brilliant brilliant track

  • yes is a great band. i remember always wanting to see these guys. i was told there laser light show was second to none. i have seen many many shows in my years, but this is one band i regret never seeing. i remember them coming to cobo hall in detroit . i lived in saginaw and when i went to buy tickets the next day, it was sold out. cobos like a 45k center. in the late 80s these cats were god. zep had broken and aerosmith was lame. yes was the number back then. there music is still awsome....

  • Gives me chills...what an AWESOME tune!

  • The big reason that Trevor wasn't shown as much as Jon and Chris...Trevor was still the "new-boy", even though this was his song. On BG videos....Trevor was the staple. Trevor said this video was done between 8 at night to 6 in the morning...they had spent the night "spinning around in a box"! BTW....Trevor's new album...sept., and A.W.R. Jon, Rick and Trevor....recording as we speak...new album and tour 2012!!! The new YES!!

  • @RICHARDTRICHMOND Actually this was the one song Chris Squire contributed to the 90125 album...there are versions out there with Squire singing lead...not JA...but Trevor is great...no question...and I am very much looking forward to A.W.R CD...THE NEW and TRUE YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GREAT MUSIC

  • GREAT

  • perfect!

  • The song is great from the beginning

  • And gets really good at 2:47

  • This song gets good at 1:28

  • SHOW MORE OF TREVOR RABIN!

  • I just love that base line at the start.

boon boon boon boon boon bidabidabidabidabooon

  • Jon Anderson for the w!n

  • @Richarddj yes but it would not have hurt to show more trevor rabin what a hottie

  • @MsJimizeppelin yes yes...but i wouldn't call him a hottie because i'm straight LOL!!

  • @Richarddj LOL

  • bands come and go and pretty much disappear from the earth, but this band will live on forever THANK GOD

  • Discovering Yes music at a very young age will make you into a man who takes the pretty girls away from the assholes. Something about Anderson's lyrics and Howe's intricate melodies alters the male brain where you'd rather eat p***y than get a BJ. That's it it works in the long run. It can happen...indeed.

  • where did real music go? This was the shit back in the day now what do we have Bieber, Gaga? No Thanks.

  • @frankconjr Where did this music go? It's still there...ANDERSON TOURING SOLO...ANDERSON WITH WAKEMAN and next year ANDERSON...WAKEMAN and RABIN...THE TRUE AND NEW YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @202Hollywood wait, where did you find that andersons rejoining Yes? I mean, i want benoit out of yes as much as anyone else, (if not more) but I've looked all over the net for any info on anderson regarding yes and theres nothing. if you found something, then you are awesome my friend. ; )

  • @UKGameMaster i'm not downing Benoit. he's good, but he's not Jon! i would SO love for Anderson to get back with these guys! it's just not the same without him. :(

  • Was this 82? 83? Man I played the death outta this album! Now I'm wondering what the heck I did with it!!!

  • @jen68 1984 it was...and an excellent album. It still stands the test of time!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG! MANY GREAT MEMORIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thumbs up if you discover this band thanks to your dear father !

  • I'm proud to say I'm 16, I can't stand Justin Bieber and stuff like that, and Yes is my favourite band. Thank my dad.

  • @ZombieIsNotDead

That is because you have Good Taste in Music obviously,

  • @ZombieIsNotDead in the exact same boat, man.

  • @ZombieIsNotDead

that's what i call good taste! i'm 21 and same as you! i'm a successfull musician thanks my dad!

  • @ZombieIsNotDead cool! ;) it's good to hear some young people are into this group. believe me, when you discover bands like this, whether you find them yourself or somebody else turns you onto them, it's something you will enjoy your whole life! i just turned 47 and i've been listening to these guys since about 1972 when i was 7.

  • @ZombieIsNotDead You should be proud! That's awesome to make a stand like that. If you Dad likes Yes there's probably a lot of other bands you'll like too!!! Good for you!

  • You can fool yourself if you think YES didnt happen.

  • 4 people can't get it to happen....

  • @progrocker69 4 people prob cant get it up :P lol

  • loved 80s music my whole life and im only 16.. YES ROCKS!!!!

  • if not one of the best albums from the 80's 90125 and they do not make music like this any more god do i miss the 80's.The 4 people that do not like this video need there head checked

  • if not one of the best albums from the 80's 90125 and they do not make music like this any more god do i miss the 80's

  • a tour de force... can only imagine what this album would've sounded like with Steve Howe

  • 4 people are Hoobastank fans that need to kill themselves.

  • This video is missing the fantastic solo that I believe Rabin did at around 3:12 in the complete version.

Great song, just missing a critical piece.

  • The sitar opening gives me chills

  • यह आप पर हो सकता है "yeh aapko bhi ho sakta hai" It can happen to you.

This was the first album I purchased, this song was why. Still an awesome song-my 5 yr old came running into the room to listen : )

Through fields of green, through open eyes, this for us to see.

  • Will music ever sound like this again? It could happen.

  • Awesome song.

  • Trevor Rabin is a better guitarist then Steve Howe. Don't get me wrong they're both good guitarists!

  • @ups1247 I wouldn't say better, I'd say they're both good just different styles...

  • Love it still. Video didn't show enough Trevor though <3<3

  • @suzsatrn That's what I thought! I was sorta pissed that they didn't have any long close-ups of him.

  • Comment removed

  • "Look out! Look around..." The whole 90125 album is one of my favorites. My mom also loves it as much as I do.

  • Look up, look down.

  • This song is great; This video is shit. What's with all the closeups; Did the camera guy forget his goddamn glasses??

  • Anybody know if thats hebrew or yiddish at the beginning and end in the fishing boat. what does he say?

  • @123torrent I think it's in Hindi but I'm not so sure...

  • simply ♥!

  • Intelligent songcraft with optimism

  • @TheSKCProductions Yes and Rush are my two favorites as well. I enjoy Neal Peart's lyrics a little more--understandable and not overly metaphysical; although I love YES as well. Between Sun and Moon kinda links me to both bands; if not only just a play on words.

  • Thank you so much for this post! I LOVE YES! I've seen them about 5 or 6 times since the early 70's and when Jon Anderson was still with them! I've seen them do "Tales of Topographic Oceans" in its entirety, "Talk", "Union", and compilations of early and later works. They are GREAT!

  • This music is POWER.

  • I love 80's and i'm only 17 :)

  • @sawiola55 I'm only 14. :) GO YES!!!

  • @sawiola55 - Good music should NEVER require a specific generation to be appreciated.

  • @xnonsuchx Put YES Music in a Bottle and a 1000 years from now people will love it...

  • @sawiola55 You dont know the 80's

  • This is when music really meant something!

  • jon looks and sounds fantastic in this vid, sad to see the condition he's in now..i wish him the very best

  • What a voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love the 9012Live version of this too

  • Outstanding!

  • DAMN WHY COULDNT I HAVE LIVED TO SEE THIS HAPPEN LIVE IN THE 80S!!! AHH I HATE MODERN MUSIC.. ONLY .5% OF MUSIC THESE DAYS ARE GOOD!!

  • EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS SONG IN MY EQUIPMENT,

    MY ENTIRE NEIGHBOURHOOD SHAKES!!!

  • @elverdaderosol THE LOUDER THE BETTER, MY FRIEND, THE LOUDER THE BETTER..!!!

  • Awesome song! Great Album too!

  • love the song....thanks for posting

  • I had forgotten that this video has like the single edit, the edit, while not shortening the song's length by that much, does significant harm to the truly impeccable song structure of the full album version - the repeat of the intro missing especially hurts. Single edits almost always suck compared to the album version. See, record companies have always been idiotic, they're just more idiotic than ever now

  • Awesome song...from the height of music during the 80's.....now we have nothing to hear but junk from untalented, unworthy musicians. It's sad,MTV sold out on us.

  • ESSA cha que são musicos devriam ficar horas vendo esses caras ,pra ver se aprendem tocar mais de um acorde

  • It's funny.. I still recall one of those YES documentaries where.. (I think it was Wakeman) says... "and it sounded like an 80's version of YES"... And it does..

You think of their evolution thru the 70's.. and to land here in the 80's.. Too COOL!

And the biggest bit of justice is that this got it's deserved commercial success!

.. So I dialed this up here today.. and I realize now that it's been 25 or so since I last saw this video! Thanks for posting it!! :-) Long Live YES!! ...

  • Wow, glad I never saw this video until today, this sucks! Song is amazing though.

Love how the older bands wrote songs to inspire and help us live lives better.

  • Great tune, great album, great BAND !! And great year !!!

  • After 27 years I can see the video for the very first time. One of my favorite songs of Yes. Amazing sound, after decades makes me feel on a orgasmusic state of mind.

  • The 80's ROCKED it would never happen never ever again!

  • @ZealShlomo

You should connect that to the 60's, as well. I am not talking about Beetles; there are ample of Psychedelic and Raga-Rock bands shaped some of the music of the 80's, and which in turn refined some of the music in the 90's.

Hard to find this kind of greatness now-a-days. An antique gem.

    Shame to the current generation.

Oh, you bet I will learn Sitar one day.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • The 2 cretins who disliked this song, one of the most sterling examples of the pinnacle of progressive rock, probably also put mustard on their corn flakes, never bother tying their shoes, wear their hats askew and crooked, pick their nose in ublic (and eat it), and think they are cool because their icky-ass butt cracks are visible above their hang-down "shorts".

    Hey, it could happen!

  • thanks Noel. Here's your answer. Producers are looking for bright colors, n porn....not talent....music...lyrics....talent. What should we do to find more of this great music availabe? We have to stop lady gaga...beyonce....etc. gag me

  • @TheSKCProductions Very organic versus synth, but that's not to say stretching beyond electric guitar, instrument wise, is always a bad thing, but this is top-flight Instrumentation. Yes and Pink Floyd are the Pioneers of Prog Rock, And Genesis

  • Love this it's on my LAST FM XBLive right now and inspired me to sing and shout it out loud!!

  • yes goes power pop. This is the only incarnation of the band I can stomach. For the most part they are/were artsy fartsy leaning waaaay to the fartsy side

  • Wow, this song only gets 30,000 views? Reality must have been around 30 years ago but not here today.

  • you're born you're dead....

doesnt get any easier, simpler, or more to the point.........

  • @mynamespitt I heard Yes key players on Rockline with bob Coburn when they still aired it here, in syndication on FM radio, They professed that Religion belief in God and Devil is not something they personally believe, and the music indirectly reflects lack of Christian Faith as result I'd say, but they speak of Love often and that is paramount in the Christian Faith. Love chosen over Hate and Destruction

  • What's with the voice that speaks during the guitar solo?

  • #W00T?

  • great song

  • some rich person please buy mtv or vh1 and put the video's back on the air PLEASE

  • @PigskinMafia I cannot agree with all the outrage about MTV and VH1, they totally abandon ideals since the origins for the almighty dollar, ever so more today, we are all in short supply of green back, but I can see music is more important to folks here!! AMEN

  • Another excellent cut for the multiplatinum "90125", one the greates album of all time.

I´ ve seen almost 200 concerts, but never had the chance to see them during the 90125 tour in 1984/85.

Hope they get together for a farewell your w/ Master Trevor Rabin

  • @ezearg2006 ...hi...i was fortunate to see Yes at Hershey Stadium in Hershey Park, Pennsylvania September 1984...and then one week later at the Spectrum in Philadelphia...great memories..

  • @ezearg2006 The Yes Album and this one, must owns. But of course, for me, Starship Trooper is classic YES that holds the test of time

  • I haven't seen this video for about 27 years. Almost forgot all about it.

  • Ahhhh. John Anderson, the voice of an angel.

  • @see4ward "jon" actually. Earlier I stated "I cannot agree" Where I left of "more..." about the MTV and VH1 forsaking music, that was a typo, of course I am an ardent lover of visual music outlets

  • An awesome song from "90125." Great stuff! God bless them!

  • In response to NOELEGY: The reason why ROCK doesn't sound this way anymore is because the vast majority new bands don't know how to play and play proficiently. You wouldn't see bands like RUSH or YES on AMERICAN IDIOT.

  • Rush were unabashedly YES fans. I too am a fan of RUSH and YES of course. Both have put out music that is deep, introspective and of course PROGRESSIVE. What people fail to see are both RUSH and YES's sense of humour.

Both bands sort of piss take what is happening in this wacky world we live in.

Both write/produce music that is allegorical lyrically and is musically complex. 90215 is kick ass and preceded 90210 which is obnoxious.

Thank the LORD for the classics! This being one of them.

  • Check out YES - DRAMA.....Excellent album!!

  • Yes....my fav band of all time!

  • First time I watch this video! Amazing song.

  • One of my favorite album...

    JLCC, San Juan, Puerto Rico

  • gue suka banget sama nih lagu...its real classic rock of YES

  • gue suka banget lagu ini, its real classic rock...

  • Trevor Rabin made Yes a household name! He was under the radar!!!! Shame on us for not giving him his due when they were on top!!! They are a kickin band! Bass was ass kickin also!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • why doesn't music sound this good you ask? my guess: wisdom depreciation

  • I LOVE YES!!! I really miss music like this! so much of today's stuff is depressing...

  • It Can Happen !!!

  • Wow! I didn't know there was a clip for this song. This is one of the best songs of 80's Yes. There's also a version with Chris Squire on vocal - it's also excellent.

  • Classic!

  • Why can't rock music sound like this anymore?

  • @Noelegy : I can relate to your frustration. These guys draw inspiration from cosmic levels of existence. What they call rock music today must sound more "earthly", the guitars must sound cheap and slightly out of tune and the players must sound like as if they don't spend too much time practising. The producers are after that "raw talent" thing that to me sounds like crap, a bunch of losing garage bands...

  • I 'll tell you why. it furstrates me as well. but... this is all circular.

in the 80's when "Yes" fans heard this pop-prog song they asked themselves the same question ? why is the current 80's less with soul like the progressive rock of the 70's. I guess as we grow up, we cant bare more and more the current popular culture, than we appreaciate more what was done in the past

  • @Noelegy - Because music as product has taken over the idea of music as art, unfortunately.

  • @Noelegy That's an excellent question! I agree with you wholeheartedly here! Great stuff which sadly cannot be duplicated!

  • @Noelegy

" The music back then had both intelligence and structure!"

  • @Noelegy : you´re 100% correct. What do we have today, apart from hip hop (wahhhg), lady gaga and jonas bros ?

We are so lucky to have had the chance to enjoy the 70s and 80s.

    Cheers

  • @Noelegy because feake , crapy untalented emoish and gay bands took over now..such as Placebo and other untalented shits...

  • @Noelegy Everything must change, unfortunatly.

  • @Noelegy because rock is dead, unfortunately

  • @gailfreckles

the people running the music industry are only promoting hip hop but rock is not dead if it was, amazon would not exist. there is a lack of skill now too and the media companies only care about mixing different types of music to meet the diversity edict instead of letting artists experiment.

but who cares? the best music has already been made.

  • @gailfreckles It's not dead, but it's close. Check out the bands: Riverside, Porcupine Tree, Spocks Beard, Transatlantic, Black Country Communion, The Flower KIngs for a few.

  • @Noelegy Check out Spocks beard, Transatlantic, Flower kings etc...

  • God, this song is so UNBELIEVABLY underrated! Pure genius in my mind and just as good as their stuff with Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman...

  • Were are tabs?

  • That's actually a great word for this song. Every once in a while that beginning riff plays in my head. Happens once or twice a year. Just pops in there suddenly, and that's exactly the adjective I would use to describe it, groovy. Kicks.

  • Does anyone know what is being said at the beginning and end of the video post? Yes is all about enlightenment - Jon's lyrics always so spiritual and Zen - some of us from more recent generations do 'get it'.

  • Everything Zen? I don't think so.
