  • @95kemp cause new orleans has a strong french influence from when it was under French control prior to the Louisiana Purchase in 1803.

  • Watch the first part of the credits and look art there names!! Thats freaking hilarious!! Roscoe P Stig baby!!!

  • absolute quality entertainment :P

  • I love how they ended up falling for their cars, regardless of them being heaps of scrap. They bonded with them, and were sad to see them go. I actually hear May had his car shipped and drives it on occasion.

  • OMG, i cant belive the state of New Orleans a year afther Catrina... Richest country my ass, the wealth of a country is showed in a living conditions of all its ppl and not by how many milionares are there...

  • @m4k4ve1iCRO just to let u know, its not like EVERYONE in the USA is in that state. Its only new orleans, unfortunately. It is a city where the rich are rich and the poor r very poor, with a large gap in between. moreso that other cities, so it will take time for it to heal. not to mention it isnt easy to rebuild an entire CITY under any circumstances

  • 2:01 lol

  • how did they get a camaro 3rd gen for 1000

  • While i support the American side in this whole argument, we shouldnt keep saying that its only people from alabama that are stupid, because then we are being hypocrites by making stereotypes about the south. while stereotypes may be accurate in some respects, they are generally exaggerated and have many exceptions

  • Tht was nice at the end I liked it

  • all you haters lol I moved to Alabama from Europe and its actually real sweet here definitely one of the most beautiful places where you can still feel the old school traditional american spirit. Fav Episode from topgear LOL

  • 6:59 James put on weight lol

  • can't wait for the Iraq to Israel special next sunday!!! (26th december 20:00 british time on BBC2)

  • 1:20 police behind car

  • To the British: New Orleans was never taken care of because of Mr. W.

  • They couldn't go to California or the Midwest area? Or New England?

  • God damn, Americans are stupid.

  • @Kakabeblen yea if u go to alabama americans are stupid. but that is a ridiculously immature and ignorant generalization of americans so get ur facts straight

  • @awesomeness20121 Don't take it personaly mate, it was just a joke. Or... Half joke :P

  • does anybody know what sex is like ?

  • quite a lot of billy bobs working at top gear

  • My wife is german and has never had nothing but an awesome experiences with the local people (Americans). So it depends on your attiude and how you treat people. J

  • @Jevy383383 also people fail to realize the states are huge and are filled with very different people

  • @OdolWAAAAGH That is true. We have every walk of life here. It is funny the more I travel the more I realize people are pretty much the same.

  • I guess US need to grow up, it got a long way to go! but its not different from England back in the days they were the most rich nation in the world!

  • quote of the day: "How can the whole of america sleep at night knowing that this is here???"

  • wow there are many fat people there :O nice show top gear, Loved it :)

  • @ard5608 come visit and find out every stereotype you hear is wrong

  • Why oh why did they have to go the deep south. America is a big place with a lot of different cultures but they choose the most deprave, radical area to portray Americans as retarded fruit-fucking classless peasants in an effort to suck up to the stereotype and be popular in England. America has its problems, a lot in fact, but I could go to a bad area in England, start yelling "the queen gives good head", and get the same experience. I just wish they would visit parts of America worth visiting.

  • @zecc81 Very true..

  • @zecc81 I have been to parts of America that I have really enjoyed, apart from LA. Sorry to anyone from LA. :-) I don't where this idea that we all love the Queen comes from though. I think people would laugh at you if you shouted that, even in the worst areas. Football (soccer) on the other hand. If you went to Liverpool and shouted Liverpool or Everton suck. Or went to Glasgow and shouted Celtic or Rangers suck, then there is a real possibilty you will get the shit kicked out of you.

  • @birdman3120 I agree the the queen thing isn't true, I was just using a typical stereotype (soccer would work much better), but I don't get where the idea ALL Americans are fat and stupid comes from-well that's just a stereotype too. I'm half English (born/live in US) and have been to England several times so I know both cultures. I'm not exactly offended, I laughed at this episode because the deep south can be like this, but passing it off as how ALL American's are is just inept and immature.

  • @zecc81 I know that not all Americans are not like that, in fact most of them aren't. The stereotype of obesity is stupid, we have a real problem with obesity over here. As for stupidity, I was just watching Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old, and a woman on it thought Yiddish was related to Islam. :-D

  • @birdman3120 yea im american and i am tired of the false stereotypes, but im not about to make any about Britons, especially about the queen cause it seems like no one would be offended by that

  • @awesomeness20121 Yeah, we don't love the Queen as much as everyone thinks. Quite a lot of people think we should abolish the monarchy and stop forking out £110 million a year for them. Football is much more likely to cause arguements in this country. Stereotypes are simply based on a few people within a country to describe everyone in that country.

  • @birdman3120 like the whole world hating the middle east cause less than a tenth of of one percent of the Muslim world has something against the West...

  • @MrYousafBajwa That's a perfect example. It's got to the point that a Muslim with a backpack on on the London Underground gets looks and stared at by other people on the carriage.

  • @zecc81

Any person with half a brain knows that the deep south isn't exactly the shining example of America as a whole. That said, you are going to get a set amount of idiots from somewhere that may believe it... just the same as you'd get another proportion of idiots in the US who'll believe all the silly stereotypes about England. Thing is the more you travel the more you find that, generally, people are actually pretty similar everywhere.

  • @gununu1 Very true. Nationalism has it's ups and downs...that's for sure. Just gotta have an open mind, travel, and see for yourself. I'll watch out for the new special too.

  • @zecc81 @gununu1 Don't forget the Iraq to Israel special on the 26th December.

  • @zecc81

Also, it's funny that you should mention that they should have visited a better area. Top Gear: East America special airs on the 21 December 2010. I think Clarkson has been spotted in New York - at least one of the places you can expect a visit. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out.

  • @zecc81 like up north

  • @zecc81 i talking about UK

  • @zecc81 I agree (although no one really cares about the queen here) - The whole point really was for it to be dangerous which makes good viewing. Its much worse on American TV though - Every British person is potrayed to be a posh, stuck up twat or a cockney wih bad teeth because thats how everyone thinks we are like. Dont get me started on Daphne from Frasier :)

  • @sami2503 yea i understand what ur saying, but the fact is that in places where people were more educated, like where i live in New York, people DON'T see all Britons like that because we aren't stupid!

  • @zecc81 I agree completely. While it is funny, the comments on it insulting Americans are ignorant and simply uneducated and dumb. I live in New York, which is just about the most culturally diverse place in the world and it is nothing like Alabama. So screw all of you ignorant bastards insulting the United States

  • Comment removed

  • @zecc81 (...) go to a bad area in England, start yelling "the queen gives good head" (...) - lol; you would be taken for a loony or just an idiot, maybe get in reply something like 'you lucky bastard' (rather smthg more funny / interesting). Bad area? You can find some, but don't expect the word 'queen' to cause any special reaction. But man stay away from a 'good areas' ! Some grandmas may give you a real trouble ;]

  • Lol don't go to america

  • @omiPSP Being American I know to carry my pistol through certain states:)

  • Don't go to America with an attitude that everyone has to suck up and play nice with you, or you'll be told to SODOFF.

  • @1958debs You have to remember where to visit. Like in Texas, Colorado, Nebraska are mostly really nice people. But you do get your bad apples too. I have never been anywhere like in this video being chased around by Rednecks.

  • are irresponsible and selfish. You can't make the payment you should not have it. Plain and simple. Sorry if I am ranting too much. I am just sick of personal greed and self-centeredness AND political correctness ruining the country and the world.

  • Another point : I don't believe you should bail out all these people in the housing situation. If you make 35k a year you should not be buying a 750k home, 2 new cars and expect the government to bail you out. There is a reason you are in this situation because you are living beyond you means. I have been pretty much debt free for 4 years now and been driving the same vehicle for 15 years. Why should people that have live within their budgets be punished (taxing more) to bail out others that

  • @Jevy383383 You have a vehicle that has lasted 15 years. On the same motor? What mileage is on it? I have had the same car since April and have placed nearly 20k miles on the car, and have had it in the shop for some repairs for 3 weeks time all together of that limited time. I only drive it to work and stores. If your car has lasted 15 years, that's phenomenal. On the other hand, if you've had so many parts replaced that you could have owned 2 or 3 other cars and it takes more

  • @Jevy383383 gas than it should to do the job that a newer car would, not so much so. I drove a car from 2002-2010, but from 2004-2010 the air con didn't work. The car I drive now uses less gas with the air con on than the other one did with no air con working.

  • @1958debs My jeep had 130,000 miles on it when I bought it in 95. I drove it all over England for 4 years then went Omaha Nebraska for 4 years. I decided to upgraded to a V8( the Inline 6 had 258K at the time and still ran but used a bit of oil). Drove it for awhile and upgraded again to my current motor. I have 360k at the moment on the Jeep itself probably 80k on this motor. I use synthetics now but before I just stayed on top of maintenance. My old man has 250k orginal miles on his Suburban.

  • I have travelled the world and lived in numerous countries and I agree on some aspects(birdman). I am American and not ashamed of it. It is true that the stereotypes of Americans are fat dumb and selfish. But American's are the most giving of donations of any Country. I don't agree with allot of the things going on now. I think that Americans (actually everyone) should travel more and see other cultures. When I was in Africa it really opened my eyes on how well we really do have it....

  • "can I borrow a jumper lead?" "no!" brilliant ending

  • 8. Self glorification of America in World War 2. 9. Obesity. 10. UN criticism of USA's children's rights. 11. Rape and violent crime statistics. 12. Foreign aid, USA the most stingiest of the 22 most developed countries. 13. Support of obnoxious regimes. 14. US contempt for the UN. 15. The Middle East. I realise that alot of other countries can be accused of these things. I am simply posting this for Americans to get an idea of the view of them by others. Look forward to any replies. :-)

  • I thought I would note down the reason why America is not liked by non-Americans. These are not my views, they are views from different people collected. Feel free to comment and discuss with me about the points. Please don't get abusive :-). 1. America is naive, it doesn't know why it is not liked. 2. History in war. 3. Oil and Kyoto. 4. Short term strategies and long term suffering. 5. Heavy handed commercial aggression. 7. Patriotism and self righteousness.

  • @birdman3120 I'm an American... and I completely agree with everything you put down.

  • @ps3beatswii Thanks, it's good to get some feedback.

  • Five of the top ten most visited cities in the world by tourists are in Asia, four are in Europe and one is in N. America.

  • This one was cool, but Bolivia episode still favorite, especially seeing the road of death.

  • LOL May couldn't even give his away, lol

  • they should drive through michigan some time in the winter. would bee much better show

  • I know what the symbols on the houses mean. Zeros on the bottom of the X mean no dead people found inside. I know this cause I helped clean what FEMA failed at.

  • epic cowmade my day

  • after watching this I'm just thankful I live north lol

  • I hate the south... and I'm forced to live in it.

  • Well what we have learned here - those amaziongly ugly smelling trees are everywhere

  • ALABAMA = total R E D N E C K place

  • @GiorgioPanadgi they dont show it in america.

  • whats the song at 1:46

  • Comment removed

  • WHAT IS THICKER THAN A BRICK ? yes an American

  • by far one of the coolest challenges/road trips they've done. seemed like they all enjoyed it, except for that one part... but besides that, awesome.

  • I love America. more than anyone else on here. I promise. but Top Gear is some funny shit, and as shitty as it is, some people in America act like those 'Bama monkeys because they think it's keeping the image. In reality, they're what we call "white trash." I'm a hillbilly or redneck, whichever you prefer, but I sure as hell don't act like that. Hell Brits are my favorite people. They sound cheerful even when they're pissed.

  • @kevinsupra90 are there still many christian nuts up north??

  • @shcnoozlebop From what I've seen in documentaries, books and in the news, I think their is a fair amount in the Dakota's... I mean you can find groups in most states in the middle of the USA, but largely in the Dakotas

  • @A16AdamWalker ah. my dad tells me in america there are like... "pockets" of nice people who won't bible-bash you. :)

  • @shcnoozlebop phew, here's hoping they're along the west coast

  • @A16AdamWalker lol and thank god they don't seem to like travelling much :D

  • @shcnoozlebop yeah, or if they do travel it's within the US

  • @A16AdamWalker amen. lol

  • @shcnoozlebop hahaha well they think they're Christians but they're mostly posers that want to feel good about themselves. West Virginia is about the farthest north you can go and still find Bible-thumpers. In New York, people seem to think that any sort of morals or religions (not that I'm relating the two, but both are missing up here) are the worst things in the world.

  • @kevinsupra90 lol bible-thumpers... i like that one :P

    thank you.

  • @kevinsupra90 Fuck you buddy, I'm from new york. I dont have morals? Yeah...go screw your self in your Virginian ass.

  • @ryanb113n I live in NY and I have for 16 years now. Most of the people I deal with are stuck-up and seemingly always in a hurry for absolutely no reason. In general, they're not friendly, and rather than asking if you need help, they ask "what the hell's your problem?" And it's West Virginian ass. Just like I tell people in WV that just because I live in NY doesn't mean I live in the city, I'm telling you that West Virginia is a separate state from Virginia.

  • @kevinsupra90 Scratch that, Abortion is LEGAL in ALL first world countries. SO yeah, I guess by your brilliant logic they are immoral too. I believe that abortion, should be "rare, legal, and safe". Women should get counseling not to do it. But its a legal issue.Does the Govt have the right to say No? Most people see it as a last, end all, resort. I respect difference of opinion, and I know that its a tough issue, but calling someone immoral, and falsely accusing people, is a prick thing to do.

  • @kevinsupra90 I'm well aware that they are separate states. But with that being said. I have lived in NYS for my whole life. You said we lack morals, since when are being stuck up and in always in a hurry, connected to lack of morals? And where in NY do you live? You originally said something about morals. Now its about being stuck up? Ok.

  • @ryanb113n I didn't necessarily connect being stuck up to a lack of morals, but it is an indicator now that you mention it. Honestly though, the biggest problem I have with people here in NY is the ass-backwards political standpoint most people have. It's okay to kill a baby, but it's not okay for me to go buy a gun and shoot some shit that comes in my house? New York (along with most of the northeastern US) not only allows, but seemingly supports abortions, but not the Second Amendment.

  • @kevinsupra90 Abortion is legal in most 1st world nations. Its legal in Britain. Are they immoral?

IS the bombing of foreign countries(killing of innocents) ok? What about support of death squads and coups in SouthAmerican? Many people against abortion are all for that. preventative health-care?Sex education? Social Programs? No good? They are the moral ones? What about the issue of having Government involvement in peoples lives.Should we just pick and choose? Don't generalize and I wont either.

  • @kevinsupra90 You honestly want to discuss abortion in a top gear comment thread? I don't have time to get into this pointless conversation. But I have to say, People in NYS own guns, where I live there is a lot of people who hunt and what not. NOBODY think its ok to kill a baby. Being Pro-Choice doesnt mean you are for the killing of babies. Talking about having an ass-backwards mindset. I doubt you lived there. Your just some guy with an agenda.

  • @ryanb113n I have no interest in discussing abortions. I hate abortions and people who have them, but obviously there are exceptions. I'm aware that people in NY own guns, I own some, my mom, my dad and all my uncles own some. Gun laws here are ridiculous though. Not only that, when I was in high school, I was nearly suspended on multiple occasions for reading American Rifleman in study hall and refusing to leave it at home. And I live in Saratoga, the most conservative county in NYS.

  • @kevinsupra90 Guns are tools of death, but America is to proud to give them up..

ps: this is a Top Gear vid and it should not be seen by americans because it causes stupid discussions like these. you dont understand british humor.

  • @vicn17 we get the humor and i think its hilarious, i just hate the retards posting things like "wow, Americans are stupid" I love the show and i love their humor on the show so dont think we are annoyed by top gear, cause we arent. It has NOTHING to do with the humor and where i live in new york, we make fun of ppl from the south too, but the stereotypes are wrong!

  • Comment removed

  • @kevinsupra90 But yeah, thanks for being completely off topic.

  • whats the music at 2:22 ? plz tell me i really wanna know

  • @DannyDaBaddy it's called "gypsy tramps and thieves" and it's "cher" who sings it

  • Sweden rules!

how would people react driving thru east london with "west ham sux" painted on the car? maybe not a fair comparison

    Anyway, great show!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow ppl are retarded and naive about believing everything in a satirical car show. If I were to follow these principles then that means I would believe everyone from England drinks tea all day, has fucked up teeth, and are all complete pussies.

  • So america is full of red necks and assholes wh just want to kill you. i will gladly not give to america

  • How can America sleep at night? Because generally America doesn't care for New Orleans.

  • Remind me again why we're arguing about wars on a youtube video from a TV show about cars, please.

  • Who know who the World calls' AMERICA'S listening dog ???

  • STAY AWAY FROM YANX COS THEY IDIOTS. THEY BOUGHT HAMSTERS CAR =)

  • @Phen0mable from the retard that cant even spell"cause" hahahahahah

  • song at 2:21?

  • Why should any of us care what the British think of us? They are a small island nation that has lost it's empire. They have very little influence on the world, and they are America's lapdog.

    Up the RA.

  • @TrueBlueJMS. Dont forget your boss came crying to us for help with your little IRAQ issue. That's why terrorists generaly leave us be. We act, we don't winge and say we will. Remember, its GREAT BRITAIN ! That's why you speak ENGLISH. And without the british empire alot of places would still be living in the dark ages. Possibly even America. Look up the definition of Yankee! LOL

  • @Here2Crusade Ah yes, we so desperately needed your little island's 4000 troops. LOL

I am happy to be able to speak English, but there is nothing great about Great Britian any longer. You are just another former superpower that has been relegated to the trash heap of history.

  • @TrueBlueJMS.. We only needed 4000, we can shoot straight.. LOL.

  • Why didn't we join with Hitler to utterly destroy Britian? :-(

  • @TrueBlueJMS That has to be one of the most stupid questions I have ever seen on YouTube: "Why didn't we join with Hitler ..... ?"!!!

  • @birdman3120 It sounded nice to Chamberlain at the time, didn't it?

Fuck Britain! Free Ireland! Up the RA!

  • @TrueBlueJMS Sorry but what do you mean by "It sound nice to Chamberlain at the time"? Plus, I'm not sure you now but Britain just gave Ireland £7 billion to help stop them going bankrupt!!! Are you saying that Britain and America are gay?

  • Top gear FTW!

  • Song Name at 1:47?

  • It's not that you shouldn't go to America... you should just go to a friendlier part. Like the Northwest. we love Top gear out here in Oregon

  • I find it hard to believe he could'nt give away a Cadillac in New Orleans...Chocolate City? Come on.

  • I am sure not all the US is like what they showed but I still lvoe southen BC canada. Man why wasn;t New Orlans fixed up, did the insurance caompanies not care.

  • I have a turbo RSX-S. I couldn't drive a POS all the time

  • god shouldn't punush them, but the hicks

  • 'They mate with vegetables..." ha ha ha ha ha

  • you know what, you can say what ever you want about America or how other places are greater, but I have traveled to England and Japan and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else other than America.

  • 2:47 what the music ???

  • I'm moveing to Canada!

  • Thanke You God for europe!

  • @iMarkusful If I edited a TV show to show all of the bad parts of Europe, including your inbred holligans and other freak shows, I could kill tourism to Eurostan for ten years.

  • @iMarkusful AND TOP GEAR

  • @iMarkusful Yeah, with the old ways that came from Europe like marrying cousins, deep-fried foods, Thanke You God for Europe.

  • Seeing this makes me feel like shit that I'm American. "/

  • USA is not "rubbish".

The country is pretty great to be an individual and live your life.

It's just all the bullshit in between that needs to be detected and avoided.

  • usa is rubbish

  • This makes me not want to live in the south anymore. To anyone reading this, trust me, were not all like this...

  • oh well

  • omg... here u go, 2 cars free of charge!

oh thats so nice, we will thank u so much that we will sue u!

    wtf!! stupid...

  • @Jaaab I know how many dam countries are in the UK thank you very much I just can't be arsed to name every country when most won't even care or know but that's not the point why the he'll are you watching top gear if it annoys you? Dumb ass go on go crawl down that hole your from cause clearly no one gives a monkeys about your comments lol I'm done here. I LOVE TOP GEAR!!!!

  • @1kezrocks I don't care about the UK, I was, and still am talking about England. And there's no such country called America. It's the United States of America. Americans are people from both continents, smartass.

Oh and if you want to be smart, The UK is more than England, Scotland, and Wales. This is sad that I know more about your country than you! There's part of Ireland and many small islands.

Btw I went to a British primary school overseas

  • ya, united states is rubbish... and I live in north america

  • Haha well they went to the deep south. Maybe try northern America next time haha.

  • i would love to drive across america in a bmw

  • @italomopar don't stop for fuel in Alabama tho

  • An American film crew could have easily went into rural England and shown how barbaric those people are. Its misrepresentation really, to say Americans act like that and I hope everyone sees that top gear specifically chose the south to show the American stereotype.

  • @Jaaab Excuse me but people in rural England are not barbaric. You have absolutely no right to call them that, just as those who haven't been to the USA have no right to make blind assumptions about its inhabitants. Top Gear did not pass any resounding judgement on the people of America, nor did they plan that attack at the gas station. They went there for the ROADS. It's kind of the premise of the programme. If the people they met there acted according to stereotype then that's their own fault.

  • @NiNjABUg22 Calm down.. there's plenty of uneducated rednecks in England. I've been to Birmingham, and that alone proved it to me. I don't see how you could logically argue otherwise, that somehow everyone in England is educated. And it's no secret that top gear was purposely trying to get those reactions by not only going to the most primitive part of America, but writing those thing on their cars. Obviously they were trying to provoke those reactions, thus it was a controlled experiment.

  • @Jaaab I'm not objecting to your argument that people in America are no worse than those in England or anywhere else, but to your description of people as 'barbaric' and now 'primitive'. That's such a sweeping overstatement and seriously unfair to people who live in these places but don't act like that. And maybe Top Gear incited those reactions but it was a joke- the only person calling them 'barbarians' as if they're some kind of lower race is you; they just called attention to it.

  • @NiNjABUg22 Never did I say that any entire region of England was full of barbaric types. No, but I did say I'm sure there are those types in rural England just as there are in America. If you can't reasonably understand that, I have a deep sympathy for you and your thick skull.

And quite frankly your entire argument is lazily put together. For one thing I never described England as primitive, as you insinuated (re-read). And I'm not even going to touch on your 'lower race' theory.

  • lol @ Earl Hammond Jr.

  • Top Gear Top Tip: Don't go to america....

  • I can't argue with the video. It's pretty bad, and I am sure what they went through was real. But they did intentionally drive through the armpit of America (the Gulf States) to get a reaction. It's a lesson - don't go there. If you want to stay safe, stick to New England or anywhere between DC and New York. If you want to go further west, don't stop until you hit the West Coast, unless stopping in Chicago, which is also safe.

  • Thanks for the uploads. Top Gear is an awesome programme, and I'm glad I was able to view this segment in its entirety.

  • Anyone know the song at 3:04?

  • @OttoVanKopf

The the - Twilight of a champion

  • @OhNoNotMyPenis Thank you :)

  • lol possibly their most dangerous mission ever :P

  • we sleep at night because we have to rest from the exhausting day of minimum wage work just to wake up and do it all over again the next day so we can feed our family's and give what we can spare to the church and pray to god that we have the strength to do it all over again the next day
