Trully Speaking we have two rain seasons, April and Octuber, but some times like this year (2009) the rain season was nothing, Sun and heat the entire year. Saludos from the very sunny Santo Domingo
When I went there February 2nd 2009, it was gorgeous for the first day, then rained every single day until the end of our vacation. Was very disappointing. But other than that, the trip was great.
It does not rain as people might think, depeninding on the time of the year, but it usually doesnt raid too much (if at all) during March, I was just there for a week and the most rain that we had was a very very very very light sprinkle at night and that was for maybe an hour...that was it
Ahhhh sweet memories! My family and I were there in october 2008 and were very impressed. We are going back there in october this year. Nice pics and vid my friend.

yes it does rain and when it does it rains for a while 2 -4 hours.

We just came back from Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana, it was great.
We highly recommend it.
It rains often but for short time and after the rain is sunny and hot again.
We will go back soon.

I've been to Punta Cana 3 times, all 3 of them in Feb / March.
It does rain but preiodically. Our last trip we had 2 days of overcast/rain, but the other 5 were fine - not a drop.
