Once again, my makita polisher polishing a beautiful exotic car. I own this polisher it is the absolute best you can get one on ebay for around $200 and its worth every penny.
@joker8188 First, this is not an orbital. This is a Makita 9227c. It looks like the gentlemen is using a 5 inch backing plate with a blue finesse pad, and which I believe is one of Menzerna's finishing polishes. Finesse pads and finishing polishes are great at restoring gloss, and leveling light scratches which is most likely what this lamborghini needed. As it probably wasn't too neglected, I think I would have chosen the same thing. I work for a high end detail shop as well, and we have
Dude why the hell are you using the orbital on the Lambo????? its Lambo that car is a date night or a weekend show off car, its so clean all you had to do was hand wax it tool bag, also, why are you putting so much pressure on the pad.
There is no such a thing as a "professional detail" all tho u have to know how to use things the right way every year new cars are made with different kind of paint every year new detail products are out every day you learn something and make a mistake if you think you are a "professional" shoot urself cuz my boss has me up to my neck from repeating he is a "professional" all tho i do a better job than that motherfucker lolz i work for gay ass ford dealer detailing cars
@nymxcar That is very untrue. You must not know much about real detailing, or maybe you were trained by your crappy ford stealership. There is a LOT more to detialing then you think. I am an I-car certified detailer. And there is deffinetly a such thing as a professional detailer.
in his other video he was applying wax with his hands (whilst wearing his watch) i wonder how many scratches me put on the car with his wrist strap buckle, fucking dick head
@bulleuston76 then you go and wear ear protection, dont forget your goggles, high viz vest, hard hat and remember and ask for planning permission from the government before you take on a job as large as machine polishing. :P
@skipinda69 I already wear hearing protection with anything that loud. I used to be a mechanic and have seen blokes in their late 20's asking people to repeat things over and over due to industrial deafness. You're ears are as precious as your eyes look after them. Enjoy yourself :)
although i agree with you that people have different techniques and tricks they use, i do think there is a right and wrong way to do things, but i think this guy is more the case of poor technique. i would not let him near my car.
at last i see some people know what they are talking about! nice lambo i worked on one today a grey mercalago! lol i work in a prestige panel shop and it dont mater if its a lambo or a holden the paint is the same maybe difrent brand like glasurit or ppg etc you just gotta know how to work it and use the right compound and combinations for the best finish and no never buff outdoors lol what a wanker
The paint is of Lambos is famous for its high price and it`s multi layer. A good 15k waxing will be enough and is gonna be protecting it from wearing and scratching.
NOTE: I would never hand my car over to a guy who is wearing his watch on his fist and is working outside!!!!
The next thing is that I hate rotary polishers. Yes, they do some work on older cars- >5 year-which have a scratch and worn paint. But why the hell should you use these mashines on a car which is almost new and has got a perfect 30k paint work on it?
Erm, maybe to remove defects from washing and drying ?
I polish mine using a machine once every 6 months or so, during spring time ill do a full detail and correct my cars paint and finish it off with an expensive wax, usually doesnt take much as ive looked after the car well and only use a finishing polish, i might use a glaze when i polish it any other time and some cheap assed wax hybrid like FK1000p.
Well, if this 5k-pound-paid guy knew what he`s doing, he would never do that polishing outdoors. It must be done in a clean sealed chamber without any micro particles and dust in it. If you notice the sound of the mic, there is some wind blowing, therefore carrying those scratching particles all over the car.
Polishing is a cleaning/corective process and Waxing is a protective process on the paint. People get Polish & Wax/Sealants mixed up with what they actualy do
The heat and friction caused by the buffer hardens the clear coat makeing it more resistant to scratching, it also removes some of its thickness a factory paint job can handel a couple of good buffings befor you risk burning through the clear. buff polishing is easy just use common sence or pay someone who has the balls and sence you dont.
Cmon now, first off, you rubbing your car with a AutoZone applicator pad and some turtle wax is in most cases just putting more micro marring and fine scratches into your paint. This guy here is using Menzerna Polishes and wat looks to be a LC blue pad(hes not gonna burn the paint off with that..trust me) Like someone said below, hes gettin paid 5K for a reason. Hhaha, his rotary probley cost more than ur entire car is worth lol
epfantcb SAID "Only stupid people use machines to shine up there cars!! Especially expensive ones!! You have to idea what your doing". You should have said only stupid people who DON"T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING use machines. How is a professional detailer expected to remove scratches and swirls to an entire car by hand? You can't.
#1 I understand that machines cause heat and make paint move, thin out what creates shine is removing a very small amount of paint or clear. If you want to keep your car looking good you use gentle soaps and never use a machine. Distilled water etc..The least you do to it the better it will be. Passing a machine over a car creates friction and acts like sand paper. Your better off using a carnuba wax and your hands.
I agree the less you touch your paint the better but it does need to be waxed and washed which will lead to microscratches. Over time the paints gloss will fade. Then you will need to polish and a machine polisher can do wonders at that point.
You could polish that thing with sandpaper and it would still look good!

Let me guess, you use a sponge and some turtlewax shampoo. And a washleather to dry the car with.

You can`t even see them, they are so tiny, but they are on the car and that polishing mashine is rubbing them all over the paint.
