@kevinmsft The only reason i brougt the 540 into the equation was to prove a pont... a 282bhp car doing 60 the same time as a newer 300bhp car? bmw is known for giving inaccurate 0-60 times, look on youtube or even an auto magazine website. the 335 is faster to 60 than 5.6 seconds.
335i in US doesn't get DCT as option unfortunately.
S4 has more horsepower than 335is, 333 bhp vs 320 bhp I think?
Not sure who will win on track, much depends on the track setup I guess, since the two cars are so different. 335is RWD will have difficulty putting down that much power but is likely more agile around corners than S4 AWD.
It does I'm telling you, you have to go under Build your own 335is, the dct is there, it's not for the regular 335i. AWD vs RWD, I'd say on a track it'd be close, because the S4 is AWD, but not too heavy. In a drag race, AWD doesn't usually do too well in top end performance
335is and 335i are different cars with different engine and gearbox. "is" version is very expensive, not worth it in my mind, should just go for M3 at that price.

so do u guys think the 2011 335I will get the 2011 S4??

@skoovt
Probably not. 335i didn't change much, same engine and 8-speed auto gearbox (from 6 speed, still no DCT).

@kevinmsft
The new 335i's do come with 7 speed DCT/DKT as an option, but I think only the 335is could beat an S4 stock for stock. (it has about 20 extra horses)

Good take off on both cars! About the same hp for both cars but the S4 is a couple hundred lbs heavier though. Nice race…very fair.

true about 2-4 shift basically. 3rd gear pulls like an SOB on the S4
audibender 4 months ago
not bad considering the S4 shifted from 2nd into 4th basically around the 0:25 sec mark. It's a common problem with the DSG.
