  • Even if that cloth wears out in a year, it'll still look sweet as hell!

  • Thanks, sounds great!

  • The cloth is gonna wear out in a year.

  • suwena cohonudow, tiow! de verdad, de coña!!

  • Muey bien!

  • Nice playing Pedro! Your Champ 600 sounds amazing!

  • Reminds me of Clapton's Layla sessions sound.... didn't he use one of these for that sound? Not sure what amp Duane used?????

  • @bluestudio67 Layla sounds like a tweed Champ to me. This is supposed to be a '49 Champion 600 reissue. But I'm sure that this would get close with a WGS 8" Champ speaker in a cab of the right dimensions.

  • My man, great work your friend Pedro and yourself have done on the Champ600. I just got one myself and look forward to my potato sack grill and other suggested modifications. You have the best sounding Champ on the web.

  • Very nicely done sir. Love the burlap (potato sack) cloth!

  • Yo tengo uno igual. Le coloqué un Jensen pero no soporta los graves. ¿Cómo podría conseguir un Weber aquí en España? Muchas gracias

  • Sounds great, best champ I've heard.

  • Gracias por el video!

Realmente notaste muchas diferencias entre el "antes" y el "despues"?

    Saludos!

  • A potato sack? Dude, that is revolutionary. I'm running with that.

  • How did you like the Weber speaker? What was the main difference (tone) between the stock and mod speaker? Cheers!

  • I also like the potato sack ! .......I am going to rip the grill cloth off my Marshall stacks right away and replace em with the potato sack grill cloth !

  • awesome sound. A lot of work makes me wonder if it's worth it to get the amp?

  • great classic sound. The "shimmer" of the Lindy Fralin pickups is unmistakable!

  • really nice video ! can u make a video adding the some of the brighter sounds with the mod u did ?

  • =) love the potato sack

  • @klaustrophobia2007 yes! I too will be using a potato sack for letting the speaker breath better. The"Dean champ" mod!

  • The amp itself is good, even stock. The only reason it sounds bad out of the box, is that 6" speaker. I would just rip out the whole chassis, and implant the thing in a new 1x12 cab with a weber blue dog.

  • @punkeratheart I did this, but I put a Jensen 8" special design in it. I cut the 6 inch hole bigger to match the entire size of the port as seen from the front of the amp and offset the speaker to the left (from the back). I changed the fabric to be more passive as this guy did. Then I replaced the tubes with a 1955 NOS Raytheon 6V6 and a 1960's RCA 12Ax7 and it sounds incredible now. Perfect for 50's rock n' roll! I'm going to make a video of the mod procedure when I do this to another one.

  • @goldenhopper I am actually strongly considering building a pine 4x8" cab.......good sounding 8" guitar speakers have been made, especially jensens, but 6" is just too small to really have any bottom end. I personally like the tone of a 1x15 combo with a pair of 6L6's or 6550's though, so finding an 8" speaker I really like is going to be a challenge for me, nevermind a quad of them. Maybe 2 8" bass drivers (Seismic Audio on ebay sells killer stuff cheap) & 2 jensen mod-8's, in an "X" formation.

  • Excellent clip!! Very informative... and your playing is so fluid and nice too :):)

  • big and solid!

    much better than standard!

  • guayyyyyyyy pablo !!! veo que ya le has sacado un buen partido al pequeñín .

    salut
