A new release game used to be $20 and a movie around $15 a release. But because people started to steal, prices sky rocketed, that is the price you pay when you Pirate stuff.

@VoluntaryConsequence actually while that is true, it depends on the production and creation prices. example it took a game 1 million USD to make and 15USD to make the disc. When demands high and they reach that 1 million expenses for it creation, they can sell it lower to where you only paying for the disc and little for the game creation. When demands are low the company needs to reach that 1 mil so they keep prices same or up until they hit that 1 mil

Want to know why people download movies ? it's quite simple - here in London if you want to visit the Odeon Leicester square and sit in the best seat (shouldn't they all be?) you will have to pay £21.60 a ticket. The cheapest seat OFF PEAK is £8.60. want to watch a movie in 3D ? add another £2 a ticket then add another £1 for glasses.
Cheapest in London you are talking about £9.50 a ticket. And the prices of snacks ? my god, don't even go there
